BREAKING: A federal judge strikes a major blow against Donald Trump and his disastrous "big, beautiful bill" by blocking him from cutting Medicaid funding to all Planned Parenthood affiliates.
This is a big win for the American people against MAGA theocracy...
"Patients are likely to suffer adverse health consequences where care is disrupted or unavailable,” wrote U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani. "In particular, restricting Members’ ability to provide healthcare services threatens an increase in unintended pregnancies and attendant complications because of reduced access to effective contraceptives, and an increase in undiagnosed and untreated STIs."
Talwani issued a preliminary injunction, stating that the administration's targeting of Planned Parenthood likely violates the Constitution. Since the legislation was specifically crafted to target Planned Parenthood, it qualifies as a "bill of attainder," which is a Congressional act that wrongly aims to punish an entity for an alleged crime without a trial.
"Plaintiffs are likely to establish that Congress singled them out with punitive intent," wrote the judge.
“A preliminary injunction maintains Planned Parenthood Members’ ability to seek Medicaid reimbursements — and maintain their status quo level of service to patients," she added.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America sued on behalf of its 47 regional affiliates as well as the Utah and Massachusetts chapters to fight a law that places a one-year ban on state Medicaid payments to healthcare nonprofits that provide abortion services and which have received over $800,000 in federal funding in 2023.
Planned Parenthood has described the draconian law as inflicting "catastrophic" consequences on its health centers and said that nearly 200 of them would be put at risk for closure.
The law was designed as a handout to Trump's Evangelical base and the MAGA Justice Department described it as stopping "federal subsidies for Big Abortion." It constitutes a major step towards the Republican Party's Christian nationalist vision of America. On top of that, it's part of a broader assault on Medicaid embedded in the big, ugly bill, which will slash $1 trillion in Medicaid over the coming decade.
It's worth noting that the use of taxpayer dollars is already restricted and cannot be used to cover most abortions.
"As this case continues, patients across the country can still go to their trusted Planned Parenthood provider for care using Medicaid. We will keep fighting this cruel law so that everyone can get birth control, STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings, and other critical health care, no matter their insurance,” stated Planned Parenthood president and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson.
"We will keep fighting this cruel law so that everyone can get birth control, STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings, and other critical health care, no matter their insurance," she vowed.
Really big here.

Time for CBS to be gone now. It belongs to Trump because they can't handle themselves — their backbones all slithered away as well as all the Reps.

I did not down size the above. It must have been un-nerving even if somewhat expected. I can't imagine the dignitaries from other countries having to deal with a person in the Loon's condition. Also, I'm horrified that so few (our side ) seem to feel concern that the Loon is anywhere, in front of anyone, representing us. Bad enough when he was just stupid and we are degraded even more by the dementia that is in full total bloom now.
It is degrading, humiliating and a total abomination and only the greed and lust for money and power and privileges is keeping the rest of us hostage right now to this hideous and painful disgrace.

No one wants him around. He's out to lunch and he's not coming back. He's a goner but seems the right intend to prop him up till he rolls over and dies.
2 -
I so hope he is right about those days ahead because the truth is I'm feeling a mite shaky about it right now.

Jake Tapper has been known to get under my skin now and then, but leave it to the Reps. They have grown so used to the Loon they will say anything ( no matter if true or false ) to make the point they want to make. Nice to see someone hold their hands to the fire.

Time for him to shut his fat, lying cheeks along with his mouth.

Under distractions.

One faculty member used to use this description for some of her out to lunch students, "They're home, but the lights are not on" and I think this is an apt description for the Loon's current cognitive status.
The difference between Kamala and the loon, is that she paid those who worked for her guest stars where he is known to stiff most of those who have performed work for him. He continues to steal music and refuses to cease and desist when the owners ask. He refuses to pay to use their music. Meanwhile if they used something of his he would be suing.

BREAKING: Donald Trump drops a massive Jeffrey Epstein bombshell aboard Air Force One, claims that the billionaire pedophile "stole" several "young women" from him including one of Epstein's most prominent victims.
Trump just imploded all of his administration's lies about why he ended his Epstein friendship...
"Mr. President, Epstein has a certain reputation obviously but just curious, were some of the workers that were taken from you, were some of them young women?" a reporter asked Trump on Air Force One.
"Were some of them..." said Trump.
"Were some of them young women?" the reporter repeated.
"Uh, well, I don't want to say but uh... Everyone knows the people that were taken and uhhh... It was... The concept of taking people that worked for me is bad," said Trump. "But, uh, that story's been pretty well out there and the answer's yes, they were."
"What did they do?" asked the reporter.
"In the spa," said Trump. "Yeah, people that work in the spa, one of the best spas in the world at Mar-a-Lago and people were taken out of the spa. Hired! By him! In other words, gone."
"And, uh, other people would come and complain this guy is taking people from the spa," Trump went on. "I didn't know that and when I heard about it I told him, I said 'Listen, we don't want you taking our people.' Whether it was spa or not spa. I don't want him taking people. And he was fine and then not too long after that, he did it again and I said 'Out of here.'"
"Mr. President, did one of those stolen, you know persons, did that include Virginia Giuffre?" asked another reporter.
"Uh... I don't know. I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people, yeah," said Trump. "He stole her and by the way, she had no complaints about us as you know. None whatsoever."
Giuffre was one of the most prominent victims of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. She also claimed to have been trafficked to the United Kingdom's Prince Andrew. Her father worked at Mar-a-Lago and helped her secure a job there. It was there that she met Maxwell, because Trump was a close friend of Epstein and Maxwell and allowed sexual predators to flock to his properties. She committed suicide in April of this year.
Previously, the White House had claimed that Trump ended his lengthy and deeply suspicious friendship with Epstein because the pedophile was a "creep." The idea has always seemed absurd, since Trump himself is a creep, avowed sexual predator, and adjudicated rapist.
Yesterday, Trump stated that "for years" he "wouldn't talk to Jeffrey Epstein" because he "did something that was inappropriate."
"He hired help and I said 'Don't ever do that again,'" claimed Trump. "He stole people that worked for me. I said 'Don't ever do that again.' He did it again and I threw him out of the place. Persona non grata. I threw him out and that was it. I'm glad I did, if you want to know the truth."
The Washington Post has reported that the falling out was actually caused by a disagreement over a real estate deal in Palm Beach. Separately, Jeffrey Epstein's brother Mark Epstein has claimed that the pedophile ended his relationship with Trump, not the other way around.
"Jeffrey said he stopped hanging out with Trump when he realized Trump was a crook," Mark Epstein told Insider in 2017.
Whatever the truth, it's clear that it wasn't Epstein's sexual predations that ended his friendship with Trump. The American people deserve to know the truth and until this administration releases the full Epstein files, we won't have it.
