I already know it’s a recurrence and in my sternum, probably elsewhere. Trying to figure out how not to have a panic attack when the doctor is telling me. I’m terrified.

@texassurvivor I'm so sorry you're having to go through this, as many of us have here. It will take time to come to terms with this, and fear and panic is a pretty natural response. Your doctor will know this. There are many stories of hope here on this site, so when you know what you're dealing with, you can come for the wisdom here.

@texassurvivor - We are sorry you're going through this. We've moved your post here, to the Just Diagnosed With a Recurrence or Metastasis forum, so others who’ve been there can offer support. Also, if you ever feel like connecting in real time, we also offer virtual support groups where you can talk face-to-face with others who understand. You're not alone, we’re all here for you.

    Sincerely,

    The Mods

So sorry you find yourself at this point. It is probably the most difficult part of this journey, but as @tougholdcrow says, there are good stories here when you're up for some reading, particularly in the "How long have you been Stage IV" thread. Once you have the info as to type and location of mets, you can redirect the adrenaline that is making you so miserable now to fighting this beast, and we will help however we can.

In your pocket for the meeting with the MO. Just reach in and squeeze my hand.
