I am so sorry to hear about Caryn (exbrnxgrl). She has been a major source of support and encouragement of other members for many, many years, and her presence on these boards will be greatly missed.

Very sorry to hear about exbrnxgrl.
Also, can't believe August will be a year for losing my sister. I honestly just cannot and have not processed it. At all. I really miss her, and I miss trading posts with a lot of you that used to be here more frequently. Stay well.

Regretfully, please add Illinoislady who died on Sunday, August 3. She was the driving force for several forums on BCO and a beacon of hope and friendship to countless people on BCO. She was my friend and I will miss her dearly. May her memory be a blessing to everyone who met her here and may she rest in a well-deserved peace.

I am so sad to learn of Jackie's passing. I thought she was doing well, which makes the news a shock. I know her dh is devastated. I never met Jackie (Illinois Lady) in person but feel like she was a good friend.

I always meant to meet up with her in Mt. Vernon but never got the chance. She was posting through 7/31, never recently mentioned difficulties with her kidney cancer or treatments, and mentioned doing all sorts of mundane routine activities like feeding & tending to feral cats as well as her pooch "Li'l Red;" so I suspect it was something sudden and (I hope) painless and/or peaceful related to her cardiovascular issues. She was the glue that held several BCO threads together; and we should continue posting there to honor her.

It is with a very heavy heart that I am reading about Kris' passing. π’ π She had texted me only Tuesday that she was getting morphine on Wednesday. Hopefully, she was not in a lot of pain at the end.
She was one of the bravest ladies I have met. Despite dealing with her own MBC challenges, she was always there for all of us, sharing and caring as long as she could.
My deepest condolences to her family and friends. At the time of her passing, her husband and daughter were with her.
May her memory be for a blessing. πΌ π

I just saw this extremely unfortunate news on her hospice thread and posted there. I'm sending my deepest sympathies to her family and friends. She will be sorely missed here. I so enjoyed sharing posts with her and have been quite taken and impressed with how she has handled these last many months. While she struggled with her own situation she remained so helpful and thoughtful to me, and I'm sure to others too. A truly exceptional and special human being. Wishing peace to her and her family.

I am so sad. She was one of the first people I met on here and she was even longer battling than I was. Iβm just so sickened. And saddened I hate you cancer. Rip sweet Caryn. I really thought you had this.
