Saline implants

Hi, Anyone here who has or had saline implants? I am having my surgery next week monday Aug 18,2025 and will be doing reconstruction after the bilateral mastectomy. Any info would be appreciated. my bra size is A

    Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water, and if they ever leak, your body just absorbs it — one reason some people choose them. The fill can sometimes be adjusted during surgery to help with symmetry.

    Since you’re starting from an A cup, your surgeon can help you pick a size that works best for your frame.

    What to expect after surgery:

    • You’ll likely have some tightness and swelling at first.
    • Wearing your surgical bra as directed really helps with support and comfort.
    • Sleeping propped up can make it easier those first few nights.
    • Be gentle with arm movements until your surgeon clears you.

    Some quick questions for your surgeon

    • What size, profile, and placement (over/under muscle) do you recommend for me?
    • Can the saline volume be adjusted after surgery, and how will the implants feel?
    • What incision will you use, where will the scars be, and how long will drains stay in?
    • What activity limits will I have, and when can I get back to normal exercise?
    • What risks should I watch for, and how long do implants usually last?
