13 Years Since Breast Cancer Diagnosed in 2012 - Where are you now?
It's been 13 years since I joined the Breast Cancer Boards in 2012 when I was blindsided by a Stage II diagnosis on August 31, 2012. I felt alone and hopeless until I found the support and wisdom of the community members here. It's a journey that has had many ups and downs and curves in the road but the people I've met here helped me manage. I don't visit as often now but I've never forgotten so many of you who reached out and offered advice, information and encouragement thru the posts you've shared on these Boards in the chemo groups, surgery group, and the conversations on "near misses" and scares to name just a few. I want to THANK YOU ❤️ I would love to hear if you're still visiting here and how you've been are doing? (((Hugs))) and Hope 🙏 Maureen1

Hi Margaret - I started visiting early in 2012 (I think), having been dx with my second round of breast cancer, 19 years after thr first! So all told, I’ve been a survivor for upwards of 33 years! I consider myself lucky and blessed. Best wishes to you!

Congratulations Joan - your two time survivor story is an inspiration ! Thanks for sharing…Loved your posts about wigs and hair. I lost my hair during chem in 2012 and wore a wig for almost 6 months. My funniest wig story was when the wind blew my wig off in front of my hospital and I ran thru the parking lot in scrubs chasing a ball of brown "fur". It was a good laugh for patients and staff😂 Take care (((Hugs))) Maureen1
