BRCA1+: what's in your surveillance/ survivorship plan?
Now that active treatment is over, I imagine my next few appointments we'll be working on the surveillance plan. It would be so helpful to hear what others are doing.
I've had TNBC twice before age 50, treated successfully (I hope) both times, and am BRCA1+. Before the second diagnosis I was getting a mammogram + ultrasound once a year, a breast MRI once a year (6 months apart from the mammo+u/s), and pancreatic cancer screenings. I'm also followed by cardio-oncology because of treatment-related heart damage. Did pelvic ultrasounds until prophylactic BSO at age 39. Had a baseline DXA scan since I've been menopausal for 7+ years already. It feels like a lot, and also not enough!

Hi @kks_11, we're just bumping your thread in case others who are BRCA1+ and in surveillance missed it earlier. Your question is an important one, and we hope more members who’ve been through similar planning can chime in with what their teams are doing. We're thinking of you and hope you get more responses soon.
