@rlschaller I'm so glad to hear that your skin mets have been dealt with by the radiation, and that it is done. Hope that you are okay with your arm/shoulder movement now that you're finished. Good that you are taking a work break; our bodies can only do so much.

That's a mercy that you can go back on the Keytruda, since now you have the gene affected. We shall hope that it works in tandem with the cmf and is well tolerated. That part is important too!

@cookie54 Wonderful news Andrea that you had a stable scan! We can hear the sigh of relief!

I've been sidelined by a combination of headache/general weakness/inability to walk straight for the last week. Saw my MO Thursday and she did a lot of in-office tests and ordered a brain scan, which I hope is very soon. I'm wanting to get the weekend over with so that scan will be forthcoming. We shall see!

    Hello and hugs to all.

@scgal08 Thank you! Ugh I'm sorry you're sidelined with annoying symptoms. I will be praying that your scan is scheduled asap tomorrow! We all can empathize with you and the waiting, fingers crossed. Big hugs and positive vibes your way.🤞❤️

@scgal08 Ah Rita what a drag ! I hate when those annoying “what now” symptoms appear. How disconcerting. I wonder if vertigo which comes with aging some times might be the culprit? Oy veh. ❤️ We are in your pockets for scans and next steps. Stay present in the love that you are and surrounded by ..as best as you can. And As @cookie54 Andrea said big hugs and positive vibes your way, every day.

Hi ladies how's everyone feeling these days? Any plans for Thanksgiving? All ok ,here bummed that the Eagles lost to Dallas yesterday but had fun at a watch party. I'll be home for the holiday , will be a quiet one this year. My brother will come over and the kids will be here. I'm actually glad in a way not to entertain a large crowd. I will be hosting Christmas and will have a a big group then so one holiday is enough for me lol.

I got through the bulk of my appointments the last 2 weeks, now just a few more before the end of the year.I hope everyone is doing well and treatments are being kind to you.♥️

    Hi there Gals ❤️
@cookie54 Andrea so sorry the Eagles lost. I watched the game (after first watching the Giants loose lol) and thought of you. Glad you had fun at the watch party though. I actually like watching with the sound off and music playing in the background. I sort of watch that way, it’s nice to have it on in the background, without commercials and commentary. Your Thanksgiving gathering sounds lovely, and homey. And yes one big do is enough per year. Look forward to hearing all about it. 🎁 Yeah for appointments that are completed being over and moving on toward the last few, and then into the new year with a sense of forward positive motion.
This year my son and his wife are going to her folks house for Thanksgiving as we alternate years, and coming to us on Saturday. I’m still having the local restaurant make the meal and DH will pick it up for us on Thursday, and then I’ll reheat everything for the kids on Saturday. I used to cook and now this is easiest. My sister and her family are also doing Saturday, so we’ll FaceTime so all can wish each other well.

I’m doing well , had the second infusion of Keytruda + CMF. Fatigue is the biggest se, but is getting better each day, as are the Mets on my back and side, thank goodness. MSK dermatology gave me a steroid cream for the itch and redness, and wound care instructions for my arm. The large Mets cluster there has melted away, and is healing/draining well, so moving in the right direction finally. What a strange disease! Day at a time … but the Mets responding to the radiation has been the only treatment that has worked for my skin . May it continue to heal and never come back🤞! I too have a few more appts (lymphedema doctor and eye doctor) and then call it a day till January.

@scgal08 Rita thinking of you and sending loving vibes your way.

Happy Thanksgiving to all reading along. 💐❣️

@rlschaller Wow that Giants game! I watched the 4th quarter of that one and was so disappointed they lost since they had played so well. I should probably take a page out of your book and have music in the background since I can get a little crazy lol. It's a great distraction for me and I love the excitement of it. I am overjoyed to hear that these pesky mets have met their match!!! I commend you for your calm perseverance through all the changes you have been dealing with.Continued prayers that you improve with each passing day.🤞Your holiday sound perfect. We don't need to always have to be together on the actual day but just be together! Oh I hear ya on ordering food I will be ordering some of it for Christmas too. That's our gift to ourselves to be able to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.😊

Hello @rlschaller and @cookie54! You gals have been busy going about life and enjoying the most recent holiday.

So wonderful to hear Rhonda that your skin mets are on the retreat! Long may that continue. Yes, such a strange disease. Who would have thought that BC and skin mets would be connected. Fatigue seems to be a common denominator with us cancer types; I'm certainly dealing with it now and finding it more difficult/takes longer to recuperate from chemo.

How is your meditation project going?

Andrea, yay for a sports distraction. You ladies have the right idea about ordering food for these big occasions. Something to look into here …

I have a brain MRI coming up on Sunday to investigate what was spotted on there in a CT scan. Most likely radiation after that when the RO gets her plan in place. Should be … interesting. At least the prescribed steroid for my wonky head has helped in the interim.

I hope for you both that your year-end appointments will be done with soon, with all good results of course!

    Take care.

@scgal08 Hi,happy to see ya! Sorry you have been dealing with increased fatigue. It's so hard when our mind says go but our body lags behind.Glad to hear the steroid is working and I will be in your pocket on Sunday during your MRI. I will be praying for good strength and good results. Hugs.❤️

I will miss yet another meeting Wednesday,I feel like I always have a conflict! My hubby needs a heart cath Wednesday, long story but he is a heart failure patient and now a change has occurred on his EKG. He has been having mild chest pain, sometimes I feel we barely come up for air and one of us has an issue. Such is life I guess I hope for the best but mentally prepare for the worst.

@rlschaller HI there, wishing you a good week❣️

Hi gals ❤️🐈‍⬛🍂🍃🙏💐 @cookie54 @scgal08 and all reading along

Rita so nice to hear from you ! You’ve been on my mind and in my heart ❤️. I was wondering how you were, in your pockets for Sundays MRI as well. Just imagine Andrea and I are there calmly sending good vibes. So sorry an issue on the CT requires intervention. But glad they caught it, whatever it is. Many here on the threads have had partial and whole brain radiation , and it was not too onerous, if that is what is called for. So glad the steroid has helped ! We do what is needful lol ! What a disease , gosh. I used to think being an artist required being nimble, flexible, and able to function in chaos. It simply prepared me for aging and MBC. And yes, fatigue is our companion. I have found this wonderful Ayurvedic tea for energy which has helped a lot. It has Tumeric, peppermint,, cloves, and cinnamon..it’s delicious . And I make a pot every day, that and the waning of the radiation and chemo effects help lol. No progress yet on the meditation project for radiation patients, they are still looking for funding, and bco did not follow up with me, and I’ve been too busy to follow up as well.

Andrea I too will miss another Wednesday call, my work day just doesn’t allow the time to take off for the calls anymore. Sorry about your hubby experiencing chest pains. I can’t imagine how stressful that must be for you both. Yes, prepare and not dwell is a good practice. Hope tomorrow’s appointment goes well !in your pockets for sure. ❤️❤️. Hope your thanksgiving was lovely.

The lymphedema in my arm has gotten a little worse, and I start PT tomorrow for lymphedema therapy, once a week I’m actually looking forward to it. The skin Mets made it difficult to wear my sleeve all the way up to my shoulder, so my bicep has swelled a bit. They’ve ordered a new sleeve and I get pt again.

    Hugs to all 🙏❤️😘
