Just diagnosed with ILC
I was just diagnosed, and I'm meeting with my surgeon today. what questions should I be asking and what else should I be thinking about. Thats probably a very big question, it all feels very overwhelming. I just found this site yesterday, any other sites I should visit? thank you for your help.

I have: Stage 1 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma - small area, but there are three, close together, right breast only, nothing left breast.
HER2 - negative, K-67 is 2% , Estrogen receptor - positive. The plan is to do a lumpectomy, probably radiation and hormone theropy. Chomo is in question. there will be a sample sent for genetic testing and that will help decide.
I realize everyone is different, but would love to hear from others. I do like the surgeon and his RN is really great. I trust them.
i doubt i will do reconstructive surgery but will meet with them just to understand options.
do you feel i am missing anything? any detail I should think about? or questions?
thank you in advance
Julie
