    Good one mommy.

Wally - Bogle is always good. I'm going to Costco Friday so I'll look for the Cotes du Rhone. Assuming it's Kirkland brand?

Yes, Minus, it is kirkland brand. Out here, it was 6.99…maybe 7.29, Cotes du rhone villages I've had the 2018 and this is 2023 and my taste buds enjoy it. The bogle is very dark and tannic and I love that too.

Teka - thanks for posting the weeping cherry.

Does anyone else remember dancing around a Maypole as a child? Weaving ribbons in & out…

    Never did that minus.

I can't believe my little Nugget is 5 yrs old today! That little puppy grew up too fast!

Wally - Costco didn't have any Cotes du Rhone Villages wine, but I searched through my wine racks and found a 2022 bottle. Just finished a second glass with my dinner. I had forgotten how good it is. I'll have to save the bottle and take it in for them to research.

Minus, I had the 2018 and the 2023 and missed the 2022. I check the shelves each time I go and cross fingers. It is very smooth, nice, just enough body without being overpowering…the bogle petit sirah is a tannic bomb and I adore it. I've even started drinking some pinot noir, which I usually find quite thin and vinegary…Costco has Embroidery pinot noir on sale periodically (in the 6.99 range) and it is also quite good.

Wally - I'll have to get back into the habit of checking every time I go. I also like their Alexander Valley Cab. I only drink white wine occasionally, but I don't like sweet wines. My go to white is Kirkland Marlborough Tipoint Sauvignon Blanc. Same price range.

I don't typically drink white either, but occasionally, it is a nice change. The only sweet wines I like are Port.

We are heading to Sequim tomorrow, so that's a costco stop; I'll check out if there's anything new in the wine aisle.

Hi Gals back from our river cruise and I must say my drink options were exercised. Here are a few samples from our trip. The first was a coffee from our Paris hotel. The best cup I've ever had.

I've got some good news to share. My online store is live! It's a specialty shop for women who had a UMX without mound reconstruction. The Mods don't allow self-promotion, which I totally get - otherwise we'd be inundated with Etsy links from everyone and their aunt Carol. But if you're curious, they have given me the ok to share the URL if you DM me.

Miranda, can you tell us the name of your store, then we can google it if we want (I want).

YUMMMMMMMMMM on those beverages. If anyone likes hot chocolate and melted candy bars, go to Angelinas on rue de rivoli and order their hot chocolate. A spoon will stand straight, it is that thick and gooey…. SOOOO good.

Had a couple false starts on a blanket I'm making for one of my aunt's. Have tried crocheting granny squares before and they come out a bit wonky. This time I tried doing it as I saw in a Youtube video and its working!

Happy funday Sunday and Mothers Day:

Wishing all the moms out there a happy Mothers Day which I personally think is all women. Hoping you have a nice day with your family, your pets if you are a pet mom or in my case, for you plant moms.

After a very dry winter with no moisture for 130 days between Nov to April, we are finally getting more rain again. We started getting more rain in mid April but this past week, we had a whole week of a rainy cycle that included some rain every day or more often at night. New Mexico is in a bad drought again and part of the state worse than others (seems like the eastern part of the state gets more weather but they also get big hail and torndoes too, eek). My yard looks very happy and I am working on finishing up some pruning and clean up in the back yard border gardens. It has been cooler the past week but I am good with that as before long, it will be hot, Hot, HOT. I don't do so well in the heat in these post menopausal years…..

MinusTwo- that blue/purple plant is called a delphenium and it's a perrenial. I bought it from my fav local nursery in April and still deciding if it stays in a pot or will go in the ground. Right now it's still blooming and beautiful on my patio table. Lots of green here in the Rio Grande Valley right now and pretty blooms where ever I go. I think my claret cup cactus may be about to bloom and will post a photo when it does. I love my blooming cacti in all their various colors they bring.

NM- I think you are on your cruise and hope you are having a great time and everything is good at home with the mom and the doggos.

Reader- those EU river cruises look so enticing. I know others who have done them and say they are lovely. I love the photo of the wine looking out on the deck to the river. I have no doubt that coffee you had in Paris is the best (I haven't been there in a long time, but remember how delish everything was there including the coffee).

Mirianda-good luck with your on line store.

Mommy- I hope your family visiting from CT enjoys their time with you (I am originally from CT).

ChiSandy- I hope the repairs on your place are coming along.

Teka- hi to you in North Country.

I am heading up to Taos County for a yoga retreat next weekend, probably the last time I will do one for a while as I am hoping to get certified to teach yoga including to cancer survivors as part of my next chapter when I leave this job. I was able to attend some yoga classes here through a program one of the healthcare orgs did (and still does) a few years back and it gave me the idea. Many older people benefit from yoga but are also afraid of it as with the current trends for yoga to be more aerobic, or heated yoga, many feel it's not accessible to them. I do classes with some instructors who are trained in working with older participants. I am exploring programs in town and will be using my retreat monies I would normally spend to put towards the certification fees.

Will be back again when I can and wishing everyone a lovely rest of the weekend and month of May too.

We had a nice time with our friend from CT.

I guess I double qualify as a mom as I have pets and plants.

Jazzy - thanks for the plant info. Looks like they have trouble in Houston's hot summers. Funny coincidence - does anyone else remember the poems of A.A. Milne and the book "When We Were Very Young"? Here's a verse from her 1924 poem "The Doormouse & the Doctor" that my Mother read to us so MANY times that I always remembered it:

There once was a Dormouse who lived in a bed
Of delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red)
And all the day long he'd a wonderful view
Of geraniums (red) and delphiniums (blue)

Hope you'll consider teaching a Chair Yoga class. Some of us are of an age that we can't easily get up & down from the floor anymore but we still need to work on flexibility & movement. I had a fantastic Chair Yoga teacher at one of the hospitals, but they cancelled the classes during Covid & never re-started. Sadly miss that.
