    Cheryl,
Grab a drink and whine away. I'm sure that someone will be along shortly with the Xanax you desire.

Maybe some one can clean up your puff ball, but make sure that they're not drinking..

I'm here for a damn big drink!
Thought I had it all under control until I met with the ins. gal today to set up my new individual ins. DH goes on Medicare Sept l and I have to have my own policy.
Well, IF I increase my deductible to 3,500 and limit drugs, and limit office visits to some unresonable amount, I can get nearly the coverage I had for $1700 a MONTH.
If I get $125 drugs/qtr and 2 doc visit/year and have fewer choice of docs and even fewer choice of drugs and a considerable deductible I can get coverage for about $700/month.
AH, bc, the bastard that keeps on taking. I just have to bet that I won't get a recurrance or mets! Way to go Blue Cross, I've only been paying into you for 25 years, but now that I don't have group coverage, I am SOL. Thank goodness it's only for 2 more years then ta da---Medicare!
To all of you who are having surgery, chemo, take deep breaths and don't forget your pain meds and laxitives.
For we who have put on the pounds, even 2, lord help us, I really don't think it's going away. I've gained 44 since dx and have been working out for 18 mos. -- no joy, but I've not Gained any! LOL
    Now where are those shooters!

It's amazing how many people are connected to those of us with BC or any other C. Dentists, hair salons. They all are so connected to our plight.

Lini, I will take your advice. Many thanks.

Hi Cheryl - For the stubble that's left (and I know this sounds crazy ) try using duct tape on your head. It doesn't hurt and some have success with it. I tried it and got some, but not all, of the stubble. Most hairdressers are pretty accomodating. If you're uncomfortable going there in front of everyone call and talk to her/him beforehand and see if you can come in early or after hours when no one else is there. I wore a wig and was told by my "wig lady" and she recommended Brian Joseph shampoo which is formulated for chemo patients (you can get it via internet too I believe) and also recommended that I moisturize my head twice a day with unscented lubriderm or something similar. I also got bandanas from Walmart to wear when I needed to have something on my head around the house. I sewed the two ends together in the back using a piece of elastic from the fabric store so I could just slip it on and off easily and so if I laid down with it on the knot wouldn't stick into the back of my head.

    Take care,
    Pat

Hi ladies, I so want to join in with you but tamox has given me a fatty liver. When I had my blood tests recently the woman told me not to drink at all. Now isn't that a bummer!!!!! Doc is now concerned about it too - after two years - and he is looking for alternatives to tamox. I can tell him there aren't any unless I do an ooph. End of my pity party. Pass me a shooter please.

Welcome to the party new posters!

HMMM - tamox gives you fatty liver? I wonder if Arimidex does the same? God knows my poor liver doesn't need anything else to deal with!!

I have had an ooph, wonder if that makes a difference? I specifically asked my GYN after the ooph if my liver looked okay (after the opph he gave me some lovely pics of my innards and pointed out my liver in one of them) He said my liver looked good.

Anybody know about the Arimidex/oooph relation to fatty liver. I already have fatty belly - isn't that enough?

Also - I'm a midget too - 5'2". A couple of lbs makes a big difference in how my clothes fit, and five lbs can also mean a size difference.

But - we have to try and stay cool in this heat girls, which means something on the rocks! Pass me a tray!

    Cheers,

    Donna

Donna - Too bad we can't stretch ourselves a bit taller to accomodate the weight. My mom is 5'8", and all I got was almost 5'3".

Thanks, Peggy. You are the best!! I've never heard of Chris Garver, so I googled him too. Didn't find too many pix.

Here's hoping everybody has a better day today and we'll just party for the sake of partying later on....

I remember the day before my bilat. sitting in the pedi chair and wanting to scream out at the top of my lungs, "today is the last day of my life that I'll have boobs." That was a real surreal, strange day. But kept the facade going.

Oh, yeah...I remember that feeling well...don't think I'll ever forget it!

I'm going to join the pity party, since I got debrided yesterday, and have an oozing boob. Is 10 am too early for a drink?

    Oh I hate being depressed.

Welcome Randi. I am feeling better today. Joining the party last night helped. Misery loves company, right??

Go back to page 39. There are all sorts of colorful goodies there from Peggy to help you feel better. Probably won't help you lose weight, but will definitely help you lose your worries, if just for a bit.

Thanks Lini, I hate days like this. My weight has stayed constant for the year, up a lb down 2 up 3, down 4. I hate it, but I do know that my thyroid is out of wack so I just have to get the medicine adjusted. I'm sure I will feel better tomorrow.

Lini, you have to see him on the tv program as he looks better/cuter. He is my latest fantasy! Just to have him tattoo me.....

Have fun without me tonight (like that wouldn't happen?) as I'm working the late shift. Cheers!

Cheryl - Glad that you're feeling better today. Ross is a favorite.

Janis- I'll check out the show. I'll be needing tats in the future. Maybe Shel could use him for her cool tats, too.

Randi - Better constant, stable than constantly up

Shel- Love Ewan Mcgregor, especially in Moulin Rouge. My gift is my song and this one's for you. Always think of that when I think of him, that and his dreamy eyes.
