Ok so much oven cleaning talk!!! So I decided to try my self cleaning oven setting. Yikes it makes the house hot! But then on one of them there was still all this goey black gunk....? Did I do something wrong? Can you tell oven cleaning is not my forte. Well actually house cleaning is not something I'm good at or really know much about. No I don't mean it the way it sounds. With MS I get so tired so easily I found some aspects of cleaning especially difficult. Like mopping the floors - hmm never seem to get better. Now the oven... well I've used those smelly cleaners and scrubbed and well? not good at it.

Lori - those pictures are really horrifying - I'm so sorry. It seems like you all are awfully close to me.... hope it goes the other way not that I'm hoping it will hurt other people but ... you know what I mean. Hope the winds die down so they can get it under control.

NM- Love all the cartooons and the description on how to get into a Kayak is certainly interesting. I'd hurt myself doing that I think. I've only tried in the ocean and I just got it where I could "step" into it and then take off....

    Love the Murphy list!

Chrissy - do you make your own dough for the pasties? I've been trying to make pizza dough but so far they have been fine just not really good. Tired of paying for pizza. Ugh just to hot have to even step away from the computer......

OOPS Deb....must be the hot weather getting to my feeble brain...I thought it didn't sound right when I wrote it and just remembered the correct spelling...it is MOSCATO. Sawwy for the ewwor (double oops....not supposed to say we are sorry on this thread...LOL). Hope you do get to try it. When we get to the casinos, they have ShockTop beer on tap, and that is one of my favorite brews, so will indulge in that a LOT....free except for tip!

Stanzie, when you said one of them had "black gunk", are you referring to the oven racks? We were told to take them out when using the oven cleaning cycle. I used to leave them in all the time, but it does tend to dull them....guess whichever is most important to you...easier cleaning with dull racks, or harder cleaning (elbow grease) and shinier racks. They also said it could weaken them. SHOOT! Anyway, just passing that on to you, in case that is what you meant. Sometimes i have to manually scrub the window on the inside, with bon ami, or use a razor blade (gently). Maybe someday your DD will want to learn how to clean....then that would be a big help for you! Don't hold your breath though! OR maybe she will do some chores for some extra spending money???

Hot, Hot, Hot. Painted more outside then decided to move everything around on the deck and get the dog houses scrubbed down, etc. Still not all real clean, but an improvement. Off to run some errands soon....but I always try to pop in and see what is going on with you all. I think I saw Junie running into the casino...after hitting up the free ATM machine....now Jocks is following her with an icy bucket of dog beers....does she have him trained or what???! And Beans is cooling it in the pool, on that cool floating lounger with so many cup holders for all her many dwinks! Oh, oh, is that DorK sneaking up on her....yup....oh, oh.... *SPLASH*....oh DorK don't let all the dwinks spill.... LOL.

You girlz have a GR8 Thursday!!! It is our anniversary (but we celebrate monthly, so not a biggie, but we try to make it special).

    Ciao for Niao,

Oven racks are best done in a heavy duty garbage bag.  Just put in and about one-half cup of ammonia.  Do this outside.

Tie everything up and let it sit for a couple of hours (out of the sun!!!).  Then get a brush and hose off.  Comes out just great.  I did this when I had a house, outside area, and hose.

I removed as much oven gunk as possible before putting it through the cleaning cycle.  That was the trick to not setting off the smoke alarms here.  Again, wasn't an issue when I had a house, but in a building with 99 other apartments, people get a bit cross.  There was stuff under the bottom heating element which I removed during the pre-clean.

It worked like a charm.  I had some stuff to clean off afterwards, but just wiped down with a towel.

I am not doing the racks however.  They aren't great, but are OK.

My joke about cleaning when I was going through chemo was that I was dragging too much to do housework, but was fine cycling 30 miles.

Just got another application out.  And now working the "network into the position" angle.  I am on it big time.  So psyched.

I can't believe how focused I am now.  Just amazing. - Claire

Stanzie, I do make my own pastry for the pasties.  It doesn't have yeast in it so it is classified a pastry not dough.  Dough has yeast.........getting a little pedantic about terms here don't mean to.....lol......pizza dough is a yeast dough so can be a little tricky.....the secret to that is making sure that the yeast has been well activated and you have beaten it down at least twice.    Unfortunately pizza dogh takes time to do well.  Good luck in your endeavours to master it!

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

    Greetings girls...

Had hoped to be done with all schoolwork today but of course that did not happen. I have appt with BS (4 months since lumpectomy) tomorrow (2.5 hour drive), so will have to go in for one more day next week. I hate scheduling! Supposed to be principal's job; he is retiring and just does not know how to do it, so the secretary and I do it. I am out of contract hours, but will go in for half-day because I can't dump it on the secretary.

I was supposed to see RO next week and he postponed it until the 23rd. Not happy about that. I could have scheduled a vacation (or at least a short one!) if I knew I had extra time after chemo. Am thinking maybe I could go somewhere by myself or go with sis or meet a friend as DH cannot reschedule appointments on such short notice.

I feel a cold or sinus infection coming on; have been coughing and clearing throat all day. Good thing I see the doctor tomorrow. Have a feeling I'd have to see someone otherwise. Also have to get blood work at local hospital before I leave town. My fave phlebotomist is not working tomorrow, so will try through the port. Last couple of times it has required me to about stand on my head (in chair, bent over with hands on the ground) to get a good blood flow. I don't know which is worse, getting stuck 3+ times before they find a vein or doing "gymnastics" to get it through the port. SIGH.

OK. I'm done complaining. I had a little plum wine tonight from a local winery (yes, Claire...there are a few wineries in rural Nebraska!) that I could actually taste and appreciate. The dry reds still taste like vinegar, but something sweet is okay. Tuesday night it was still 88 degrees; tonight it is 55 degrees! Has been misting awhile; Mother Nature can't decide if she wants to rain or not! That's the midwest for you. If you don't like the weather, wait a day. It will change!

Kymn, I hope you had an uneventful day in the chair. Unfortunately, it is not the chemo that gets us, it is the days following. Keep the fluids going, take the anti-nausea drugs, tell the family they will be just fine fixing their own meals (or going to Dairy Queen!) for a few days, the laundry will wait (or they can do that too! I am teaching my DS age 15 to do his own laundry), so curl up on the couch or your bed and hibernate awhile. We'll be here when you feel better. Just think-only one more. Whoo hoo!

RE-thinking my housing for Israel....my gf who offfered me to stay at her house is an hour by bus and it just makes me uncomfy to be so far....too much  traffic to bike ride...so its either bus or taxi...so back to looking on line to see what I can find....another gf thinks I should stay in the dorm...but the dorm doesn't have AC....hubby just rolled his eyes when I mentioned staying in the dorm without AC...Jerualem is HOT in the summer...not sure what I will do....I leave Denver in 2 weeks for my DD and then my parents...in 2 weeks, I'll be in Israel, so not a lot of time...need to order my cell phone....not sure how many minutes to get, but incoming calls are free, so may just go with the least amount of time (that is what my gf who said to stay in the dorm suggested0...I guess if I need to call anyone, they can call me back...hubby is going to DD and SIL the day after younger daughter leaves....so they will have 2 weeks of us!!!!

Had a nice day today...one of my bff came for lunch...she just moved into the neighborhood so its the first time in forever we've been able to have them for a holiday...her DD and my DD#2 are 2 days apart...the girls are good friends....its been fun watching them grow up!!!

Enjoying my 3rd glass of red wine...its a cabernet blend...not my favorite, but its good....but i think it will put me over the edge....

Several errands to run tomorrow....we are going out for Shabbat dinner, so I really don't have much cooking to do...none really....we eat the leftover fish from todays lunch on Saturday...I have challah in the freezer so that is good.

Kymn...hope all went well today with chemo #5....

Husker...sorry that your rad onc appt got delayed....when I did rads, I started the end of July and when school started, I was half done.....hope you get to take a mini-vacation......

Sweet dreams one and all....Hugs, Karen

Wahine-Don't feel badly for me as far as getting out of the kayak, I actually look forward to entertaining people AND getting wet/having an excuse to swim a bit before loading back up! Nothing like a good laugh and a good swim after a nice paddle. You'll discover that in due time, I'm sure.

Chrissy-I giggle every time I read about your pasties, the first definition I was taught for pasties was the little things ladies used to keep nipple erections from showing through tight or clingy clothing! Now I guess they are called nipple flowers. TEE HEE.

Ptjudith-welcome to the HTL! Make sure to let Pants and Jock know that Korbel Champagne is your fav so they can stock up and add that to the "never let it run out" list they keep. How do you want your bar stool decorated? We already have a leopard print set, need to expand the collection!

Stanzie-the best way to get into a kayak is off a dock or pier when you can just step in! Unfortunately that's not always a choice. Sigh. Glad the cartoons entertain! That is the point, good to know it's working.

Risque Wisque-I hear you about the heat. I did very little yesterday besides some house work. Thankfully a cool front has come through (with very entertaining and occasionally damaging) thunderstorms last night. This am is 20 degrees cooler and the dew point is down from the 60's to the 30's-absolutely georgeous, going to work in the garden and mow the lawn today. Then I'll be back to cannonball into the pool, and look out to anyone floating at the time!

Claire-Hooray for focus and being psyched! Still praying for your networking and job possibilities. I've used the same trick with the racks in the gas grill, never thought about using it for the oven racks. Of course, I don't have a self cleaning oven. . .

Chrissy-thanks for the tip about pizza dough, my recipe says to punch it down once and it was never as good as I wanted or remembered it when my Mom made it. Come to find out she punches it down twice, but forgot to correct the recipe when she copied it for me!  Does this count as punching it down 3 times?

Husker-I'm so sorry your appointment schedule has been so crazy. That was one thing I coped with very poorly, having complete meltdowns every time an appointment was changed on short notice. Actually, I still do, and the onc's office staff has flagged my chart with a warning about that. I swear that because I refused chemo I am treated as if my schedule and treatment aren't important. If you are going to have your port for a while longer talk to your onc's office about getting it declotted. There are medications that can be put in to clear out the clot that's forming on the end of the catheter, that's what gets pulled over the tip of the catheter when they try to get blood. That will reduce the need for gymnastics at blood draw time. Also make sure that the person flushing the port after taking blood uses at least 20 ml of saline with a pulsing action (push, stop, push, stop). That helps clear out any remaining blood in the catheter and helps prevent clotting.

Karen-I'm sure you will find something workable for housing. The gf's place that's and hour away could be your fall back position if you don't find anything else, or you could start there and find something else when you get to Jerusalem if you don't find anything before you leave. Good idea to give your cell phone # to everyone you might want to call, with instructions to call you back when you call!

Karen- I agree with you, I do think being closer would be better and they you wouldn't have to worry about the extra time for the commute. Walking and taking the bus are all great for exercise and everything but what if you just didn't feel good enough then? Anyway, I'm hoping one of your friends who have housing closer in will offer you a reasonable rent that will make it worth it. No AC.... well I couldn't do it.

Husker - sorry about rad apt. Hope all goes well with BS apt. Feel better! Hate sinus infections - so painful

Lori - how are the fires this morning?

Kathy- now, I was thinking if you decided to make a habit of falling out of the Kayak.... well or having a little wine or diet coke and Segrams ( is that it?) then at least get someone to video your Kayak escapedes and send it in for funniest video's!

Just read Carol Burnett's latest book! I loved loved LOVED her show! Still laugh over clips. Well her book has some hilarious stories in and and three that I just sobbed over. But I was reading some of the funny ones to my son and we were both laughing and we looked at each other and I said I know why I think she is so funny and he finished my thought - it is because I so would do the same funny things she did! LOL.! I used to say my Mom was Lucille Ball so....

I'll try and tell one - shortened version. She and her husband Joe Hamiliton lived in this condo where John Steinbeck also lived. They had been there about a year and both had been dying to meet him but no luck. So this one day they get into the elevator and there he is. Just the two of them and him. She says with elevator etticuite (grrr can't spell) she was thinking great no one will look or say anything. Then he says excuse me Ms. Burnett.Well she starts gushing Oh I just love everything you have ever written and he is telling her how funny she is and she notices they are about at their floor and her husband Joe is glaring at her so they start to walk through the door and he nudges her hard in the ribs so just as the doors are closing she says oh yes and this is my husband George Hamilton!!! She is horrified and doesn't know where that came from so she starts yelling Nooooooo it's Joe, Joe Hamilton.. but alsa Mr. Steinbeck is long gone.

Well, I thought it was funny anyway. Have a lovely day all!

NM - everytime I read about all your medical tips and advice I think how very lucky we have you with us here! I bet you don't think it is anything but to us non-medical ones it is really wonderful! So I thank you again for all your amazing help with medical issues and fabulous cartoons - Well I 'll start looking for a pizza recipe where you punch it twice - at times punching dough sounds good!

Thanks for saying so, Stanzie!  I always worry when I post somthing medical that I'm going technical when the loungettes don't want technical, just want to vent. But I hate to read about one of us going through something that isn't necessary. Kneading and punching down dough is very therapeutic at times!

NM LOL at the pizza dough punch pic!  Dough that has been punched twice is smoother with a better texture.

Stanzie and easy recipe for a yeast dough is as follows

for each cup of plain flour use 1 teaspoon of dry yeast.  To activate the yeast place in a small bowl or cup and add 1/2 teaspoon sugar and 1/4 cup of either tepid milk or water....stir and cover with plastic wrap and let stand till frothy.  Add to flour with a good pinch of salt and work until you have a soft stretchy dough (add more liquid if required). Place in a floured bowl and cover.  Place in a warm place until double....punch down and knead  then repeat.  After you have punch it for the second time roll or stretch for your pizza.

ROFLMAO Stanzie, about the Carol Burnett story! I always loved her too, and was delighted to get to meet her in HI...entourage was with her, as was Tim Conway....don't remember if any of the others were with her or not. I was just so in awe of her, and it was so obvious how short Conway was, so that stuck in my mind! What is that book called? I would love to read it too. When we were in Panama at a 5-star resort at the edge of the rainforest and at the Panama Canal, the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" checked in. We had been aware they were arriving, so stayed in the lobby and got to greet them. Of course I didn't want to bother them by asking for autographs,,,darn it! Was my SIL's fav band....and when we were playing pingpong late that night, some of them came by to play and we graciously gave up our game so they could play. I said "I guess you don't want anyone to take pics", and they agreed. SHOOT....should've just taken them anyway, or asked for free tix....they were a bit obnoxious too...LOL. But I met a lot of celebs when I was a Hertz agent at the HI airport in my 20's....late night shift...that was fun! OOPS sorry to get so OT....just woke up and that is the WORST time for me to post, as I ramble on and on while trying to wake up! Yes, you have my drink correct Stanzie....hopefully I won't do any more antics that would make funny vids! I had on my fav blue capris on that day...and didn't realize that my bottom got muddy and I worked a lot yesterday trying to get those stains out!!! Not sure if I got it all out or not.

Yes NM, I agree with Stanzie....although this is a drinking thead, I also appreciate your medical advice and tips. VERY helpful for all of us!!! I mean, I think we learn so much from each other here, as we have some very intelligent and gifted galz here. So please, share often! However I doubt I would enjoy a post-kayak swim here, because of the snakes!!! Maybe drive down to the pool or something! We thought it would be funny to practice tipping it, in the pool (as I don't want to tip in lake)...BUT they do have cameras all over....so would prob get in trouble.

Karen, Good luck with finding better digs for your trip. Yeah, I would need a/c too....definately!

Okay.....off to Tunica....think I might win BIG this time????? Yeah I know, odds against me!

Dwink Up! Titz Up! Bottoms Up (and not on boat ramp)!

Oh, thanks so much for the recipe - I'll try it, maybe later today even!!!

Oh, Kathy so jealous - you got to meet her.- The book is The time we had together, I belive - finished in one sitting... some sad parts about a little girl with cancer and about her daughter but some totally hilarious ones as well. I looked her up on you tube and showed some to my daughter - she didn't think they were funny at all..... huh??? Can't imagine I was totally cracking up. Oh well... off to exercise- wish I was like Claire and actually wanted to go.....

Wahine--check at the local pools and see if they hold kakak safety classes!  Kayak safety courses are held all over the country, and usually in a pool if the local water is too cold (as around here in the spring) and I bet in areas where swimming isn't recommended.  They teach you how to get in and out, how to "hang" when the kayak flips, how to get upright again, how to get back in, all sorts of fun stuff.  I've missed the course this spring, may try to find one later in the summer.  I haven't flipped while out paddling yet, but someday it will happen and knowing the easiest way to get back in  would be helpful. . .

Good morning girls! Not often I get to post in the morning but had to go for blood work and leaving shortly for Omaha to see BS for 3 month follow up. Guess what? My fave phlebotomist was there when I walked in, although I was prepared to have RN draw from port. I mobbed her (her husband is a co-worker of mine so I know her ) and cried, "Are you working today?!" and added a (gentle) hand on her arm and a pitiful, desperate plea in my voice. It was academy-award worthy. I think she rolled her eyes, sighed, and said "Not really. We're installing new equipment, but I'll do you." I'm telling you it almost brought tears to my eyes. I felt bad walking by the nurses' station, which had the port kit set up and for the other phlebotomist, who ususally assists the RN in the port draw, but I didn't care. Jean is my gal and the only one in the entire midwest that can get a vein, first time, with no prep or pomp on either of our parts. I had not plumped up with fluids, she did not have to heat up my arm, she just did a quick feel, and VOILA! (is that how you spell it?) she had that baby in, blood flowing freely, no pain. I could have kissed her. Am still trying to figure out if I can give her a gift. NM, can techs receive gifts from patients? What if i sent flowers or a plant to her home? I'm serious, she is that good. I have two more draws to go and she has assured me she will be on duty both days.

Oh, and btw, blood counts were all within normal range, especially for one-week post chemo. And even with a sinus infection or something coming on. And DH brought home a hot spiced chai for me, without me asking. I think its gonna be a great day!

One more thing (boy, caffeine has me buzzing and rambing this a.m.)...tonight is our local Relay for Life. I am very ambivilent/anxious about going. My husband has contributed as a sponsor for the first time and a member of our church has been very active and wants me to go. I went a few years ago, just as a spectator I guess. I don't know if I can walk with the survivors as I feel I have not completed that journey yet, although I know we are all survivors starting the day of diagnosis. Also not sure I am ready for that much attention, although many in the community are aware already, as we are a small town, and I am fairly well-known. Need some feedback here.

Have a great day...mine is looking up and I hope yours is too! Cool

My Amazon contact said he knows tons of people in the area I am looking at.  YAY!!!  I meet with him in about 10 days.  I am so psyched.

Did the $4 per glass deal at the wine bar last night.  The lady who is using Thursday nights to perfect her singing was there.  I helped them carry her stuff out to her car.  She gave me one of her CDs.  I was so touched.  She is that good.

Talked to a lady from Vermont (my home state).  Rather, I talked her into joining the wine club.  She mentioned that a lot of her friends who were working solo, eventually go back to full time.  Good perspective.

One of the managers has a big weekend coming up.  I knew about the marathon on Sunday, but didn't know that today's "party" that her parents are coming in for is really a wedding.  Thought beyond cool.

Also discovered my former business partner had to do a sudden business trip to Zurich.  Gathering requirements for a study on the challenges women in senior financial services positions face.  She called me while on her way to the airport.  This will be a global study and should be fascinating.  I am sure she will share some of the results with me.

Karen.....a lot of the experience is "living" somewhere.  So I would factor that into my decision.  Although can be very interesting taking the bus.  I agree on the no AC, as I lived in NYC for a decade w/o.  Never again in a hot place.  I don't need it here, as only a few days in the summer when would be helpful.

I need to write a couple of emails, then find and apply for at least one more job.  I have a couple of people scouring the landscape for me as well.

    Happy Friday! - Claire

p.s.  Thanks for listening to all my job search stuff.  But that is the big thing going on in my life right now.  Amazing how different my life is than even 6 weeks ago.  Because I have finally moved on.  Even like the way my hair looks.  Had to get to that point when I had my edge, and saw "me" as opposed to an imposter in the mirror.

LOL....that made ME laff, Beans! Sawwy you have the oven cleaning duty....hope it gets done w/out toooooo much sweat. THEN you can have a carefree, ovenclean, pau hana!

Kymn, So sawwy about DH...I had to search for what "fml" means....is it f--- my life??? I was guessing "for my liking"....as that also matched your sentence....LOL. But darn, I wish he would wise up and "fly right". Hoping you don't feel tooo badly after this round, and then only ONE more round of chemo to go......do I hear a celebration coming up????

Well, got here safely. Saw lots of damage on the way....in AL some wide swaths of trees taken down by tornadoes,  then a row of where 4 houses were.....2 totally missing, 1 w/ roof and some walls missing, and 1 looked totally untouched. So weird how tornadoes hit. THEN, in MS, we still see flooded areas, and the casino signs at Sams Town are dirty and you can see how high the water went. wahine - yes, boring cleaning, but I like everything clean when it's done. There have been some leaks and things to get fixed on our new luxury RV, poor DH has his hands full. Then the kitchen faucet is not working so he had to go down to Home Depot to get a new one...otherwise, it's so nice and the king size bed is great!

Glad you asked about fml too, I get funcused about many things and sometimes think I'm the only one, so thanks for asking. I hope we have a big celebration for those finishing up.

So glad you arrived safely!! When I was going across WA I saw so much extra water that I never see from our rain storms, our rivers and creeks are so full. I couldn't believe the pics NM put on about damage in Maine and all the news and stories from the other gals of horrid storms. Sure hope it clears up soon across the states and beyond.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Junie, hope your fam visit is going well and you'll be back soon. NM tanks again for the dwink and the funnies, loved the Murphy's funnies, and dang nice bar - wow!! I will take photos of mine when it gets set up, now I have a good model to shoot for- yippee!! Stanzie, I'm jealous of your self-cleaning oven, but too bad it gets so hot. I'm using this non-toxic stuff that is a lot of work! I also adore Carol Burnett and Lucy! Also enjoyed your Steinbeck story! Dotty, you made water come out of my face talking about your girls in the pool. Chrissy, oh goodie, you like champagne too! Let's party! Husker, so glad to hear your bloodwork was good and that you got your fav phlebotummmist to do the draw! I signed up for the Relay but couldn't go, so was disappointed, I was also nervous about going, but I would have gone if I had been in the area. I think you should walk with the survivors for sure, you are def a survivor!!! I just knew if I walked I would be crying my eyes out and embarass myself, but that is so neat you are doing it!!! Karen - wow, sounds like you are still figuring travel, that does sound confusing. ptjudith - I wanted say HELLO and ask do you like cat beer or dog beer better? Just kidding, I have toured Korbel many times and also love their champs!! Hope you will come party with us tonight!!

Still twin' to catch-up, and I'm wishing everyone a fantastic Fried-day! See ya soon for Pau Hana.

Claire...I know that a lot of the experience is "living" somewhere.  I don't know the neighborhood where my gf lives but I do know the vicinity.  I'm all for taking the bus....have done that both times  I've been in Israel.  My mode of transportation is feet or bus......I love watching people and wandering through neighborhoods....I want to be able to take advantage of any evening activities that might occur without worrying about getting back to the apt....an hour bus ride is long.....sure wish it was an hour walk, but everyone I've talked to said its not walkable (2 -3 hours)....Hopint something good comes through.  I really appreciate my gf's offer and I'm torn.....

Georgeous weather in Denver today, but spent it running errands...will get a nice walk in this evening walking to/from shabbat dinner.....bought a new bathing suit, the first one since Miriam was an infant (she's 13)....not sure if I'll keep it or not as it was a bit pricey...but since its hard to find the right size top and bottom and one that looks good with small implants, I figured I would get it and could always return it.  Need to see what DH thinks....DD likes it...one I tried on said looked too much like what grandma wears and another, is for some one younger than me (her words)....thats what happens when a 13 year old has a middle age mother!!!!!

Kymn....the hockey game is on here....are you watching?  Hope the Canuks take the series....Of course my fav team is the Canadiennes....well, probably not, but my first team...I guess I shoot be a Av's fan!!!  Actually, I really don't watch sports on TV.  sorry that things are stuff not good with DH.

    Husker...how are you doing?

Beans....Junie, Wahine, Stanzie, Goldie, oh my gosh...my brain just went blank!!!!!  why can't I think of any other names????  I a[pologize for leaving loungettes out...Hugs to all for a good week-end.....Karen

Hi ladies, still havent dipped into the pit from hell yet got laundry done and some cleaning. Making beds my mom will be here again on Sunday. havent heard a word from DH all day. Our Blackberries were wiped clean dont know what happened but all information gone on both he blamed me said I must have done something and stormed out of here like a bat out of hell this morning no word from him so far. I think my biggest fear is loosing my home at this point. I feel so sad for the kids having to leave their home, dnt know if I can afford another one on my own even though I did put 90 K into this one I know I wont be getting that back. At this point I just dont want the stress of him anymore. LIke that song says sometimes love just aint enough.

Yes I am watching my team, they are not looking so good, I am feeling very nervous I thought for sure this was the year we would finally win a cup but not feeling so confident anymore :(.

Will come back later if I dont crash hugs and thanks for all the support

    glad you like the pizza

Kymn, glad to see you pop in...glad you are feeling okay so far. Hope it continues! DH has the game on TV.  We are cheering for Vancouver for you, and because DS and I were just there on our music trip! He got a t-shirt with #3's name on it (of course can't think of it now). Guy at store told him he was a popular player--hope that's true! Glad to hear your mom can come again. You will be ready for her cooking and support it sounds like. Housing is cheap in Nebraska. Want to come "south"?!

Hey Loungettes, anyone at the bar? The pool or chapel? I am just popping in...behind two pages. THAT is a first for this dwunk.

Kymn, what a great game. Dh and I watched and pray that you bring that cup home from Boston on Monday (I think). So glad to hear from you.

I want to say so much, I only read from where I left off. NM, you are awesome and I also love that you are willing to share your medical expertise.

Husker, hoping you feel better and never stop thinking of you and wishing you all the best.

feel like sneaking into the lounge to view the tapes of what I missed (I am portending the lounge has video surveillance that I can view)....ehh, I guess I will have to read instead. Plan on getting that done but super busy now. I will be working tomorrow too. I do have a choice of how much capacity I can handle - the more hours I am willing to work, the better I do. I must be hungry when the food is good!

Gosh, I miss you girls. Going to read a bit more and either hit the bed or the bar...

Cheers, cHairs, haMmoCks and kaYYYYyak-yak-yak-yak-yaks too!

Karen - so glad you posted and no sweat about catching all that goes on here, it is just so special to be able to have a place to chat and enjoy a nice dwinky!

Kymn - That is so wonderful you are still feeling okay...just so sorry about your DH, sometimes you do need a break and no matter what you are so strong to get through this that you will face anything you need to for your kids and yourself. I just hope your DH will wake up and realize what a mistake he's making. Big hugs to you Kymn!!

Husker - What sweet words to Kymn! That is so great her mom will be there for support and great offer to head to Nebraska...

Happy Happy Hour Ladies, Cheers and where the heck is Junie for more dog beers???? I know where wahine is sucking back all those free drinks...

     Love and hugs, Beans

Totally correct Beannie....had lotsa dwinks, but also lost lotsa moola. BJ tables were good, our table even won a drawing where we all had free bets, then it all went sour, and of course we stayed there waaaaay too long. Did ok on some machines, and ate TONS (trying to recoup the money we lost...lol). So time to come to the room! You know the song "You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em......."

Ok Kymn, Kymn, Kymn, can you feel our arms around you giving you caring hugs??? That really sucks. Well I can say something that might make you laugh...when you said the blackberries were wiped clean, I had to read that over and over as I thought at first you meant all your blackberry bushes! And I wondered why he blamed you!!! Sheesh....he is being a real jerk lately, isn't he???? Wish you both could go to some counseling, as I know you love him so much, and surely he loves you a lot too, just is so mixed up or something. But that sucks that you may have to uproot the kids...believe it or not though they will bounce back and prolly do just fine. I know I worried so much when I got divorced w/baby and toddler...had to leave our nice home, and move into an apt. I didn't think that was fair at all, as I got no child support either. BUT we all survived...and the main thing your kids need is love. Would hate for you to lose all that money you sunk into your house though. Too bad our townhouse just rented last month as it is gorgeous, and near the pool and lake. We do have a condo for rent, but area is not nearly as nice. Prolly much cheaper living here than where you are, and we'd love to have you down here, but I know you prob would not want to leave your area. Just wish there was a simple solution for your problem....sounds like it will take some time, and some tears...I know you will come out triumphant though! Just vent to any of us when you need to! Glad your mom will be coming back soon, and hope she will be a lot of help to you.

DorK, No, no, no, no, NO video surveillance! Remember what happens at the HTL, stays at the HTL!!! You will just have to read all the posts and read betwn the lines....lol. Glad you popped in, and glad you have all the work you want, and are able to make lots of $$$$$. Except that you don't have as much time to be here with us, and I miss your posts!!!!

Lori, Are you having a fun weekend? Want to hear about it, when you get back online!

Hope to see "Hunk" tomorrow....he has the day shift, so will have to give him a hug!!!  ;)

Cheerio everyone!! Yakkity, yak, don't talk back....

    Kathy
