Goldie- Yes I was up at 3:00am and stayed up till after 4;00am and I'm exhausted still even though I slept till 12:30pm!

So, no idea what to do, wrote to the Dr. in Miami who does Fat Grafting and spoke with my friend on another thread who had this done. It is all very confusing and I don't know how I'd really get out of town and do it all by myself even though she said she would come help me! My gosh - the women on this site are truly amazing! Anyway, it is more of a huge process and not sure if I want to delve into all that. I just wanted to look and feel more normal - why does that have to be such a big deal. Thanks, NM and Kathy once I can think straight I'll call my insurance. Funny the nose doctor's office called to ask if I was going to have the surgery- I guess just a follow up call but interesting timing. So wish I wasn't so tired and fuzzy brained to figure all this out!

Glad to know NM, Kathy and AStorm all have this insurance - was sort of thinking oh gosh no one has this....

On the other side - got an email today from the second location people - they say they actually do want to use my house! They way they wrote the email is they just assume it will be good timing for me and I'll be happy with whatever they say. I like the first company better - they give out all the information upfront and then ask if you want your home considered. so ?? Hopeing my friend whose husband is a lawyer will help me with looking over the contract as I don't want this to cost me money!

Kathy! Ireland is truly one of my favorite places on earth! I have been twice and just adored it both times. The first time my Dad know three men who either owned or managed hotels and they were so wonderful and took such amazing care of us. It was a Mr. Fitzpatrick, Mr. Fitzgerald and Mr. O'conner! Just love those names!!! We stayed in one place ( my sister and I drove around) that was a tiny castle owned by the same family for 800 years! The bathroom had glass coved crossbow holes and underneath in the dungeon - yes there really were actual mummies- you were supposed to tough their hand ( left I think) for good luck. We did but were afraid we would fall ontop of them! Anyway, before dinner we sat around their bar and met everyone, their daughters were the wenches who served dinner and after dinner we sat around the fire and they told grand ghost stories. The awful part is neither my sister or I can remember the name of the place! Arg! But it was amazing. I'd adore to go back. Oh and at that time, just driving around you could stop at homes who had signs out offering tea. We would stop and meet these lovely people and have amazing fresh scones and creme - such wonderful memories! I so will be hidden in a ripped pocket of your suitcase! Don't worry I won't eat much!

Kymn - I agree - can't believe your onc's office didn't at the very least just call in some antibotics for you till they could see you! But why on earth they wouldn't have just worked you in. Thank goodness you will see someone! Hopefully also get some pain relief!

Oh Stanzie sounds like you had a grand time in Ireland! This time (our first) we will be escorted traveling around, staying in different hotels, and seeing lots of different sites. When we return on our own, I think we would prolly do the castle thing, and drive around, etc. We don't usually do tours, but I think we will enjoy this one, esp since my parents are going too....too hard to get a vehicle large enough to rent for all of us and our luggage. Let the tour co do the work!! SO glad you have such nice memories of the Emerald Isle.

Kymn....are you ok? Hope they took care of you this afternoon, and you are feeling better now. Please let us know!!!!

We ran errands (after I was drenched painting out in the heat), then ate dinner out, got home at 7m and I had to run back out and paint. I am on the really high parts, with the ext ladder, so  I make sure DH will hold it for me. Just came in, almost 8 pm and finally having Happy Hour! Enjoying some chilled Moscato....heavenly!!!! Anyone around????

    Chairs! Cheers! BARMEN!!!

    Hi LadieZ.....

Was out at the wine bar after a busy day.  Tipped the bartender with asparagus!!!!

Really.  We are all foodies, and I had just been at the market.  So I really did have asparagus.

Nothing like sharing the wealth, especially since the season will end soon.

NM, does that mean we should be drinking out of test tubes? Great DOTD, I'll have a few in Gail's honor! ~ raising my glass to a toast for AceStorm~. So sweet of Sadie to help you with your post.

Not exactly sure when they get here Kathy (grand kids) I think it is the weekend that DH b-day is, July 17. The reason I am not sure, is I haven't bothered to ask much of what is going on, cuz I have my doubts that this will happen. We have doctor appts. on that Friday and there is also mention of Laughlin. So I am confused as to how things are suppose to pan out. I sure hope your folks can make it to Ireland and NO ONE gets hurt! LOL on the keys, and similar story for me with our office phone. We have a hand set and a cell phone. Well, the hand set was working, I was talking to a customer on that and we lost our connection. I was waiting for him to call back, he didn't. Then I tried to call another customer....nothing. WTH! Well, the cell phone is blue tooth to connect a device to the handset, so we can use either. Well the cell phone went dead and it wasn't where it was suppose to be. I had taken it in the house with me, and when I came back in the office, my side drawer was open on my desk and I set it there. Well, the drawer got shut. So now the phone won't work, cuz it needs the cell phone, battery has died and we can't find it. All of sudden I REMEMBERED I had set in that drawer! The biggest surprise there was me actually remembering something! But glad you found your keys.

Woot Woot CANCER BITCH! LMAO, I love it Kymn.....you go girl!

Junie enjoy.......your company and your iPad!

Stanzie, so sorry for all the troubles you are having. I sure hope it all works out for you. Good idea to have your friend help you with the use of your home in the filming. That would be so exciting, but just horrible if it ended up costing you money!

Karen your trip sounds like it is just perfect for you. You sound so relaxed.

Well I managed to get caught up on my sleep, and was able to sleep til 5. Town today and neighbors coming over Saturday for a BBQ. Temps still at 100, but only about 5% humidity. And yet another fire, this one to the west of us, in another beautiful area of AZ. 1000 acres so far and the cause unknown, but most likely human caused as no weather here.

Karen, Glad you trip is going well, and you are able to post here! What day do you leave for Israel?

Gail, Whew, those are a lot of messages! Bet you enjoyed the jacuzzi.

Lori, Dang it, that was so LUCKY you remembered setting the cell on the drawer...would have been impossible to find with the dead battery. SO FUNNY how these phones, keys, etc end up in such strange places. At least you have time to prepare for your company, that is, if they do end up coming(?). Yeah, your 100 degrees with just 5% humidity would be do-able. It is when your temps get to 120 or so that I cannot handle it there. Here, of course, upper 90's or 100 is very hot since the humidity is HIGH. My dad said my mom is excited about Ireland, but totally hates being back in HI and would rather be here. He said now she just reads and naps all day, then can't sleep at night. I hate that, as here she is so alive and happy....just forgetful. Not sure when they will come back, guessing Sept. OMG yet another fire...and already 1k acres....that is just horrid. I haven't watched national news for awhile, so hadn't heard.

Kymnie, Are you okay??? Waiting on pins and needles (ouch!) to hear how you are doing.

Chrissy, How is the weather there? Still pretty cold? When does your spring start? Around Sept, when you will be in the US? At least you should have good weather in the US during that time, too.

Beans, You okay???? Haven't heard from you for awhile, and hope all is well. Missing all you other galz too.....Dee, Jaybird, HunkyD....and anyone else i have missed.

Yay, it is Dork's Fried-Dey!!!! DorK, Hope your day will go great, and you can relax this weekend! And that all you loungettes will have a wonderful day 2-dey!!!!

    Tushies UP!!!!

Hi girls!   Just been hanging around since I got home from the city on Wednesday night....don't think I'll be going down and back in one day again....it took too much out of me....must be getting old or summat.  I was playing around with making stuff for tea last night and created a beautiful tasty pilaff with morroccan spices....it was sooo good that I have to remember what I used so I can make it again!  Yes Kathy the weather is the coldest it's been for many years and started a couple of months earlier thatn usual as well.  The fire gets lit every night and sometimes the house gets cool enough in the day that I turn the reverse cycle on.  September 1st is the official start of Spring and Summer is December 1st so I will still get some spring when I arrive home.  I am so looking forward to my trip and it is getting closer by the day.....yay!!!!!

Hope all you goils have a great weekend!!!  Now I must toddle out to the deck and get me one ....or more..... of NM's DOTD!........PaNtS!!!!!

Glad you got antibiotics Kymm.  One month from now you will feel like a new woman so light at the end of the tunnel.

I am wondering if Neulasta might be a good idea to bring your white cell counts up.  Expensive though if not covered by insurance.  It might be if you have this infection.

Go for the dragon boating.  It will give you something new to achieve.  I found that having fitness goals immediately after treatment made a major difference.  Really important to see yourself in a new and better life afterwards.

I am trying to figure out how to wrap myself up so I can train.  I am fine as did the Flying Wheels 2 weeks ago, but I just have to do at least some riding this weekend or I am dead meat.  Then a longer ride over the 4th.  Then it's the Seattle-to-Portland.  Still need to scrounge up a sleelping bag and air mattress.

And get moving on the work I promised the two guys I would do regarding a journal article idea.  Will be exciting to be published.  I have the time, and certainly know how to do the research.

Just redid my bio yesterday.  I could not have written this two years ago.  A real measure of how far I have come.....

Now for that ankle.  Have a wonderful Friday LadieZ! - Claire

Claire - yes GOALS. That's what a need,,, some sort of goal. I know I have to update my resume and look for a position with a firm but I think I need a personal goal too. With all the chaos around here (DD1 getting ready for college and already wanting to test the limits; DD2 learning to drive and ... testing the limits) it is easy to get caught up in just getting through the day. I'm sure my "fitness" goal would be quite different from yours though cuz you are Ms Super-fit! I certainly don't want to join a gym - je déteste! and I'm really a slug on a bike (balance issues plus I'm afraid of cars) though I do love the feel of it while I'm still upright. Wii is mildly entertaining but DH makes fun of me when he's home which seems to be way too often lately... and he can't work with any noise. Yup, he said no to the fan again. So I said I would just get one and set it up and if it really bothers him he can sleep on the couch. He laughed -- that's not good right? The jacuzzi actually helped last night. I am beginning to suspect that (gasp) it's the wine that is making me hot. I only have one glass but when I have wine after dinner I seem to have a bad night... guess I should be drinking earlier in the day -- HEY! Set me up Pants!

Wahine--I think you've mentioned Moscato before, what kind of wine is that? I may have to try that sometime soon.

Claire--tipped the barkeep with asparagus??!! Really??!! Sounds like you had a fun day.

Karen--isn't it fun to have a good cook in the house? I love to cook but I love to have someone else cook sometimes, too. I love getting to taste new things and get new ideas.

AStorm--I'm on the second version of this post, lost the first to a Microsoft error. So irritating!

Goldie--drinking out of test tube can be fun, but a glass is quicker! I've always wondered if there was something about putting a substance in a test tube that made it do things differently than in the real world. HOORAY for remembering something! That is a good reason for a PARTAY!!!

Chrissy--sounds like quite a trip to the city! I still get tired doing stuff I used to be able to fly through, and am so tired of being tired. What is "the reverse cycle"? I gather from the context that it is something like air conditioning?

Kymn--so glad you are on antibiotics! Keep a close eye on the thing and make sure it starts getting better, if it doesn't improve by Sunday or Monday you should be seen again. I know what you mean about all the pills, not fun, but what else are we going to do?

Claire--as active as you are I'm surprised you haven't had to wrap an ankle before now! If you search ‘how to wrap an ankle" you'll get a bunch of hits of videos and articles with step by step instructions for both taping and ace wrapping. And some sporting goods stores rent equipment like sleeping bags and such, you might want to check that out.

What would be a good DOTD for today?  how about

     Friday Freeze

    1/2 cup Vodka
    1/4 cup Rum
    1 cup Orange Juice
    4 scoops Orange Sherbet
Best served in a White Wine Glass.

    Directions
Blend all ingredents in blender at highest speed. Consistancy of the mix should be "semi - thick:" not so thick that a spoon would stand by itself in the mix, but not as thin as juice. If the mix is too thin, add sherbet, if too thick , add equal amount of juice and alcohol. Pour into glass and place in freezer for 15 minutes.

Oooooh NM....looooove that dwink as I love orange sherbet (and haven't had any in yrs), and of course I love anything sweet! Prolly why I like all you galz so much....you are all so sweet...lol. The Moscato wine is a sweet white wine, which is purrfect for me. You would like it if you like sweet wine. I also like the Moscato Asti, which is bubbly. Hope you will try it, it is my favorite now! Well, and I also like Asti or regular bubbly with a splash of peach schnapps. OH, and ShockTop Beer, and almost any beer, any likker....lol....on an on.

Oh Claire, if you tipped me with asparagus I would have had to throw it back at ya...LOL. One veg I cannot stand, although my DH, and mom love it. As do most people....just not me!

Pants! Will you pulleez blend up a few blenders full of our "Friday Freeze". Mucho gracias...I'll take care of ya later, Pants. Wink

Ok, I'm pretty smart I think... tripped over "the widower" on FB and he is engaged to the woman. Then I clicked on her and according to her profile she worked for the deceased and it is "the best job I ever had" ... wondering if she's ever had a job where you keep your clothes on...

Oh Gail...naughty,naughty, tsk tsk....J/K, you did some undercover work! And they must have spent a lot of time under the covers.  Amazing about the widower and the black widow....I mean "other" woman. Just unbelievable. Hope the kids will weather all of this okay.

LOL Kymn....thank God I haven't received those emails!

Actually me tinks me needs a dwink right now! Just drove home thru horrid thunderstorms....so many people had already pulled off the interstate, but I wasn't too far from home by then. Someone almost ran into me too. Got my hair done, about 20-30 mi away, right past the worst of the tornado damage. So many piles of trees still haven't been picked up, and to see that upscale subdivision that was intact when I went by there a couple of days before the tornado. Part of it was untouched, but so many houses totally gone, or just part of the homes left. Nine people died in that small community. So I think we are all on edge when the weather is bad, and right now I am white-knuckled (they said up to 60mph winds too)...and could use that dwinkie!!

Claire...sorry that your ankle is still giving you problems

We had a nice day today.....went to my SIL's family's cottage about an hour from the city....weather was just so-so, but we had a nice time....SIL took DD#2 out in the water in the canoe for a bit...he is a good sport....really wasn't boating weather, but she so wanted to go...then we went to see his grandmother...she has an indoor pool at her house and DD#2 had fun playing in it.....when we left, I walked to the kids apt so I could get a walk in.....Tonight DD#1 is cooking Shabbat dinner....she loves to cook and is quite good.....

My mother left a message saying my computer arrived at her house....so it will be waiting for me when I get there Sunday afternoon....

DD#2 wants time on the computer (geeze...what a pain sharing the computer is)....not sure if I will get back on tomorrow night....I leave Sunday morning for Florida....will definitely be back Sunday night.....

Have a great week-end....Cheers!!!  Hugs, Karen

Yay Beanie, glad i got to have one wit ya.  I also have a lot of reading to do and if I could copy paste here, I would steal your post. Instead i will just say "ditto" to the above.

Good night ..I had too much to dwink at the lounge but sure needed it. I had a horrible day but blame it on myself. It started with my coffee being ruined by sour creamer. I then had a "wardrobe issue". After spending 15 minutes ironing my shirt and removing lint, I had to reject it. I have lost some weight and it exposed my scars. I got bad news on my upcoming disabilty pertaining to commssion. I thought that my little brother deceived me in a big way then found out late tonight that it was a grand misunderstanding. I had a client really freak on me because his appraisal was not ordered and he is selling a home on monday and expecting to purchase....no can do. It was my partially my fault but the originator dropped the ball setting the loan up as "no appraisal required" which used to be, but hellllooo, we are in a new market. This guy is terrible and makes so many mistakes that take up too much of my time fixing. I could ramble about the she-at at the job so much more but I would consume maybe three pages here...Now, would that be fair? Hail no.  Going backwards, I came home for an hour at lunch and the shit hit the fan. While walking back to our building, I stopped at my prayer pole (did I ever tail ewe gals about dat)? well I said a prayer there then said the Lord's prayer while riding the elevator. I think it worked. I will be bock this weekend fo sure. Miss you ladies and hope each of you is happy. And if not, portend, it works for me.

Peace, love and prosperity. And happy yappy Fried-dey!!

Ladies, I have been gone trying to catch up/finish up at school, etc. Got behind on the threads and finally thought, I can't possibly read all these pages! hope the toga party was fun and hope you are all well and don't mind me crashing back into the group!

Met with radiation onc yesterday and it was a disaster. He is a jerk and my normally less-judgmental, more objective husband thought so also. Unfortunately I went ahead with all the prep of rads when I should have said "let me think about it" Sigh. Anyway, really long story (check March chemo lounge if you want full story-too depressing for party group!) but bottom line is I am getting a second opinion and will probably end up driving 1-2 hrs one way every day. I just can't see going back.

So I am ready to read some fun emails and try to figure out what you have all been doing for 2 weeks. I may have to go back and read those 8+ pages! So back to my baileys choco mint, a massage, and is the hammock open??!!

Karen - the only thing worse than sharing your computer is making your kids share a computer and then dealing with all the fights.

Happy TGIFandalmostSat-Turd-day here.   Having a good visit with the kids/grandkids but gawd, please remind me to ask /beg them to leave their dog at home next time!!!   He has really settled down but is still a major PIA and my gawd does he leave clumps of black hair everywhere.   He hasn't crapped in the house yet this trip, but we've got another couple days to go.....

Have the iPad2 mostly up and running.   Once I get familiar with it, I am going to LOVE it!   The touch screen to do things is so weird--LOL, I've only played some slot machines that were like that!   We have a few kinks to work out and I've played around with the touch keyboard--guess I have a heavy hand--need to practice on it more before use it for real!   But, the whole thing is so totally cool--can't wait to download and read a book on it!   Of course, no instructions came with it--but did give the web site for the 135-page user manual.   Think I'm up to page 35!!!   And yesterday, the very neatest thing........I was looking on the back trying to read serial numbers, and something at the top of the back in tiny, tiny printing caught my eye--DH had the iPad inscribed with "Happy Birthday, Junie"--I almost cried!!!    Have much to learn about this gadget but it is going to be a fun learning experience!!

ahhhh, colleen Kathy.  Begorrah, heading to the Emerald Isle--you lucky little leprechaun, you!   Ireland is also one of my big want to visit places.   Don't know if it is just that I always enjoy St. Paddy's day so much and the corned beef and cabbage, or the beautiful Celtic music that is sooo wonderful.    Anyways, happy that you are getting to go; jealous, of course;   not sure about the guided tour thing--but probably a good idea with your folks going also.......

wow--just relized that all have gone to bed and crashed.  The g/kids swam most of the day at the pool so are wiped out.   I turned off the tv--and the silence is blessed!!!  I'm gonna take a quick snooze in my hammock, have one of every DOTD for this week--then turn off lights and head to bed me own damnself.    Happy manana to ALL!!!!

    bottomzup!!!!!!!

Kathy, that is so sad to hear about your mom. Dang it, I wish dad could be convinced to come there and live. Shoot shoot shoot.

Kymn, sure hope those aunty B's start working real fast for you and I hear you about the pills! Ha ha on the asparagus email, I have gotten that one too. The canned stuff and blend it and drink so many tablespoons a day, or something like that?

Claire, in regards to your air mattress, not sure how long your camping is, but we used to just buy the cheap floaties for a pool. In fact I just picked up 2 at a dollar store for when my grand kids get here to sleep on.....$3.50 ea. Asparagus never came down here....still $3.99 a bunch. Always in spring you could get for .99!

Gail, you can come here and stay and have a fan, a ceiling fan and keep the tv on. Bring your wii and we'll do it together. Shame on your DD for laughing at you, I would make him sleep on the couch, just for that!

NM, can I have my Friday Freezes today. It is going to be toasty again and they sound so yummy.

Bizzy Beanz, glad you checked in and it is just being bizzy that has kept you away. Playing in the dirt for your new cabin.

DorK, sorry bout your shitty day, I hope you are able to enjoy your weekend. I don't think you told us about the prayer pole, but then I could have forgotten too! Ha ha!

Husker, what a bummer, but you don't want to be having treatments somewhere that you are not comfortable with. When I get behind, I HAVE to read everything and I never read ahead. It's the best reading in the world......who needs a book!

Awwwwwww Junie, how sweet was that of your DH? That is just awesome! So glad you like your new toy and enjoying your company.

Working on the floor today in the Shady Lady, neighbors over later for BBQ. Kathy, I got the video done, it is on our website, but will try and remember to send you the link.

Good Morning Loungettes! I mean Happy Sat-TURD-Day (in honor(?) of Junie's house-dog-guest).Hope he won't leave any house-turds, Junie!  Just lost my long post....I keep hitting something wrong on this teeny netbook.

Lori, Thanks....it breaks my heart too. I know she is going downhill much faster, by being there. She used to be in her email every day, but hasn't since leaving here...so I don't hear from her anymore unless I call. I don't think my Dad gets it. But it prob is hard for him just keeping up with all he does, too. YAY for getting your video done! ANd I hope the floor gets finished soon in Shady Lady....how awesome a place you two have created there! Have a fun BBQ! I am with you, I thnk the "Friday Freeze" dwinks would be awesome on this hot day, too!!

Kymn, Hoping the anti-b's are doing their job! So thankful that NM was able to advise you to have it looked at; I would not have realized how dangerous it could be. And if it doesn't get better this weekend, I think NM mentioned to have it looked at again. Boy, that was so good that you mentioned it here!!!

Junie, Glad you are enjoying your company, but too bad their dog couldn't stay outside. I know that wouldn't work, as you have critters that might show up and hurt it, plus I don't  think there is a fence. ARRGGHHHHHH.....do they not realize how stressful it is when they bring their dog???  I wish you could come to Ireland with us! This time, I think a guided tour will be good, as we will be staying in 4 different cities (towns?) and covering a lot of ground. I have always liked Ireland, and hope it will be as green as I picture...named my youngest DD "Kelley", and also DH has some Irish in him. And, well, we do like beer too....so think it will be a good trip! Enjoy your g'kids, and also enjoy your "quiet" time when all are in bed. Do I see the ML truck parked in front of your house, AGAIN????  :)     That inscription is so sweet, and how neat that you discovered it on your own, and DH didn't even mention that! Enjoy your new toy! Sounds awesome.

Good Gawd DorK, I don't think your day could have gotten ANY worse. You poor dear. Hope this weekend will be much, much bettah!!!! Puleez take some time for "you" today, and relax in the pool or something. (((HUGS))) for all that you went through yesterday,

Beans, Bet you had fun "playing" in the dirt! I did a lot of outside painting yesterday as I didn't think it would rain, yet again. Then we had those horrid storms while I was gone....of course the big wood bench I was painting was still outside....hoping it was really dry before it rained. The top part of the deck was ok. Might do a bit more before getting ready to take the newlyweds out to lunch.

I would like some more "Friday Freezes" too, puleez!! Sounds like a winning idea, Lori

    Tushies Up! Titz Up!

Good morning girls and happy Saturdey.

RW, you have convinced me to take the day off. I will go to work tomorrow but just not ready to look at those walls again yet. Today is a much better day. I had bad dreams last night about being brought into the conference room at work. I had to get help from my VP yesterday and he caught me in tears when he came to my cubbie. He asked if I was alright and I said I am fine, just hurt and left it at that. I hope your Mom is alright, sending prayers for you.

Chrissy, dahling, how are you? Can I take the cotton balls off my ears, they are starting to itch. I hope you are recovering well and feeling good. Me thinks me saw ya skipping out of the htl just as I was waltzing in.  So interesting that it is "winter" there. I will send you some sunshine and warmth along with lotsa hugs.

Good God Husker, do not continue with that do. Although you will have to go further for another doc, trust me, it will be worth it. I think Beans had to travel very far for her treatments to.  I fired my last PC and go into the city which is a pain in the arse but I do not regret it as I love my new PS.  Good luck.

Lori, so glad you are enjoying working on the Shady Lady.  I just love the pics, so genious! Enjoy your day.

Junie, awww, so sweet that your DH did that for you and never said a word. You must have been so touched by that sweet gesture. Ya know, men are not always all bad but usually so lol.

Claire, so sorry you are still having trouble with your ankle.  And sorry I laughed when you fell, I feel terrible. You will be back up and running/riding in no time. Love that you tipped with asparagus!  This is a great time of year for produce, I can get just about anything from three farm stands just up the road. Nothing like Jersey tomatoes.  Enjoy your weekend.

NM, great pics as always, have to revist and see all I missed. can't wait. Hope you have a good weekend and not too busy. The lounge misses you when you are working.

Beanie gOOfy Beans, whatcha doing? Wanna join me for a dwink? It is beautiful here today so I am portending that I am at a fancy resort. I should cut the lawn but hmmmm, do I feel like it? DILLIGAF!  Here's a toast for you. And for each of you for that matter....

But really, the tenders got confuses when I said toasts to all, they thought I said FOR all. It is yummy though.

Gail, OMG, engaged?? I wonder if he proposed before or after her death. What an FN pig. I will put a curse on him and hope his dick stops working. SOB, how could he??

Stanzie, hope things are going better for you. You have sure had a difficult time of it. Speaking of peaches, I remember when they were first building rte 295 from Maine to Florida (I think). When we were going through Georgia, I remember seeing the construction dudes all in their hard hats and eating peaches. They were eating like slobs, I always get a chuckle when I think about it. I would love me some Georgia peaches.

Kymn, please stop in and let us know how you are making out. I sure hope that nasty thing is gone. Always praying for you, my little darling.

Karen, I can't keep up with you, I thought you were in Israel but going to florida? Hmmm, I guess I ought to get back reading. Lori has a great point. I think I will take some time by the pool and just cruise through the past weeks posts as I have missed alot. Hope you have a stellar weekend and having a great Shabbot wherever you are!

Well I am going to drag my lazy ass to a bar stool and start drinking. Gawd, I was dreaming of drinking this time yesterday.  What a difflence (another Jessicaism) a day makes.

God love ya all! CheerZ and hell yeah, all bottoms and tata's up! Party girls, join me...

    Good morning LadieZ.....

I am going to Aspercreme and wrap my ankle and see if I can cycle anyway.  But will do something non-challenging.  I laughed too when I fell......well not at the precise moment, but I thought I had been quite foolish.  I have athletic tape.  Can feel my thighs are getting soft, and I hate that feeling.  Plus don't have quite my edge.

Junie....think the dog will most likely settle in.  My mother's last dog was like that, and she became the absolutely best dog.  Dog hair comes with the territory.  When I had my long hair, it went everywhere too.

DorK.....you will get past everything.  So glad that business is booming.  More money for everyone.  I agree on "Jersey tomatoes", but the ones here from east of the Cascades are just wonderful too.  Here in Seattle, there are a lot of varieties not well known in the East.....you know, those developed to flourish in places like Siberia.

Met Market has a half off sale on hand-pulled mozzarella, so tomato, basil, and mozzarella salad in my near future.  They do find acceptable tomatoes, but too soon for anything really good.

Gail.....glad you are thinking about a major accomplishment.  (As if your CPA doesn't count.)

Beans.....digging in the dirt usually means headway.  Major congrats!

I tried something new with snap peas last night.  Have a small bottle of black truffle, so put a small amount of water, and about half a teaspoon of oil in.  I braised them, so the water boiled off.  They were beyond delish.  Have to try this one with steak.

I had the most wonderful small thing happen.  I ordered quite a bit of skin care/cosmetics from my friend who works for a major department store.  It was one of their "specials" so included a black beaded bag with all sorts of small goodies.  One of these is a travel size Chanel mascara.  These are always great to have.  The other one was a full size lip gloss from EllisFaas (expensive, and no I had not heard of them).  I had been looking for the right summer shade, and here it was!!!!

Now to enjoy this day.  Will hit the cheap veggie stand on my way back from my travels.  Things like BIG bunches of chard for $1.41 vs small ones for twice that amount.  I got asparagus for $2.50 a pound in the market vs $1.79 there.  However, the season is waning, and wanted to have a few more good feeds of it.

The other major thing I did to save grocery $ was to buy a boneless loin of pork for $1.99 a pound last Sunday.  My freezer is now full of pork chops.  Amazing how a few of these things make a difference. - Claire
