Well, congrats on fininshing rads!!! It took me about 6 months after rads to get my energy back but I worked all through chemo and didn't take any time off at all starting with my surgeries so my situation might be unusual. Rest up, and we'll see you here later!

Might I recommend you start drinking sooner?

OK that is hilarious! As I am self-employed, I can determine when "happy hour" starts... and I DO vote for "earlier!" (haha) The WAITING GAME does make me want to have happy hour... that is for sure. The Husband dared to work late tonight but I got a head start (pitcher of strawberry dacq's) and then we watched "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy" which *still* makes me laugh out loud. Yes, my humor is pretty low-brow but it helps keep my brain from going to the "bad places" and worrying too much. I may well be back in the DRINKING zone tomorrow night as well, we shall see. As long as I'm not driving anywhere...

I am in St.Louis. I don't think I've seen you post on here with these gals that, you know...drink. Welcome, as said before it's the funnest thread. Time for me to hit the sack now.

sorry Janis. Had a bunch of "girls" from work over last night. (why do we insist on calling ourselves "girls?" Who knows?) The menu was unimportant, but red wine and margaritas were served.

Only thing I'm drinking now is coffee...

OMG Michelle! That move was so kooky and funny and warped. I still have the vision of Will Farrell walking around in his tighty whities (?) with a hard-on!

    Cheers! Catch y'all tonight!

I'm back, hello laides, my god gone for 3 days and I fear I shall never catch up. The surgery went well, no problems. Well only one. NOT A DRINK SINCE MONDAY. But some damn good pain pills.

I can see your all doing fine, I'm off to bed, since I'm still tired. I have the next 5 weeks off so I will keep up with you all starting next week.

I hope to try and have a drink tonight.

SO glad to be back on the funniest tread here.

Good morning - is everyone bright and bushy-tailed today? Christine, we live about 65 miles due north of Kansas City, in NWMO (on a farm.) Thanks for the compliment on the username... that's what I feel like most days, but that's a good thing! And I like the quote in your "signature" line; I remember seeing Mattie on Oprah... he was an amazing little human, very wise beyond his years.

Oh yes Janis - isn't that movie a riot? I assume you have also seen The 40 Year Old Virgin? Another one that I laughed out loud. One of my all-time favorite movies is Christmas Vacation... even in the middle of summer it can crack me up. (And some of my relatives were a bit too much like "Cousin Eddie..." )

Hope everyone has a great day - this thread definitely IS fun.

    Take care,

    g'mornin' all-
Randi- I welcomed you back on the Hijack thread, but I'll say here on the funnest thread - WELCOME BACK! Hurry up and heal and we'll share a drink.
Michelle - I am a little surprised and very happy to see some more midwesterners here. Happy, but wishing no one here ever had a reason to join us.. Hurrah for Central time zone. The east coast girls are sometimes hitting the hay, by the time I log on.
I am off to work a "double" today. Have a great Sat night and have a drink for me.

ok girls...I've been lurking here long enough...can I join in? Sick of friggin cancer, sick of my too short hair, sick of no boobs, sick of my burnt chest and armpit, sick of doctors, hospitals, tests, and worrying.
    I NEED A DRINK! A BIG ONE!
Need the recipe to make a drink using Malibu and Pinapple juice (?)...going to Florida to spend a week on Cocoa Beach next month with my daughter and son in law and were looking for beachy drink recipes...guess you know what I'll be doing!! As long as they drag me in before the tide takes me out I'll be ok.
Hoping they'll let me on the plane with my silicone gel filled prosthesis's...yikes!!
Your a great, fun bunch and you make me laugh...
    Hugs

Hi Robin...I found you guys a while ago but have been lurking instead of posting. Done with treatments but decided to come her instead of "moving beyond"...don't think I've moved beyond yet and this thread sounds like much more fun.
Rads blasted me...could cook s'mores on my chest!

Welcome Vickie! It's a tough crowd to keep up with but we encourage all to try!

Cheers to my dad - today is his 72nd birthday! Yea Dad! Tomorrow I'm going up to see him. Since I'm driving on a ticket (and they're REALLY cracking down on speeders AND drinkers) I won't be drinking. But it should be a good time anyway. I can always drink when I get home, right?

I would like to add that while none of you really know 'me' I'd like to say that I'm usually not a sloppy drunk. If I'm too inebrieated to post then I don't. Just thought I'd pass that on. Now, off to bed as I'm tired and have a full day planned for my dad's b-day celebration on Sunday. Be careful out there Ladies!

I have a cold, and Im on so much medicine for it. So no drinking for me this week-end. I miss my Pinot Grigio.

Janis, I hope you have a great time with your dad. And, I do understand what you are saying. My favorite saying is

"Liquor makes a fool out of many, but a lier of none."

Oh, Peggy, I was just referring to someone else who likes to post (ramble, not make much sense) when drunk and I was hoping that I didn't come across that way. That's all. Didn't mean to be cryptic!
