Morning loungettes! DorK hope you be sleeping but if not, I am at de bar in de back, think I will have a bloody Mary(counts as a vegetable in my book!). Was out and about in the white stuff yesterday with DH and friends. One of the local jewelry stores had a "Dash for Diamonds" scavenger hunt event yesterday in our neighborhood (I live in the historic district in Philly, think Liberty Bell & Betsy Ross), anyway, there were all these young couples in purple t-shirts running around like nuts in the snow, quite entertaining, a test o true luv!). Thankfully it's all done now with de white stuff and supposed to be sunny.
Karen, hope the sun finds you in FL and makes for a nice day with your folks. Glad you could have some wine and relax a bit.
Bernie, hope you are having a good morning, think you are now only 4 hours ahead til we set ours back next weekend. What a PIA!

Soooo glad we have gals with so many talents and such intelligence. When Bernie mentioned turning their clocks back this weekend, I figured we were on the same schedule. (NO, don't worry I did NOT turn back my gazillion clocks yet). Was expecting to read in the Sunday paper about how all the clocks should have been turned back. BUT thank you Scuby, for letting me know it is NEXT weekend!! But we will be gone....so will face that when we return. I LOVE clocks and have too many, so it does take awhile to change them all.
Hope Scuby and DorK were able to get back to sleep. Did I see them sneak off with Pants and Jocks???? THAT might be why they were awake....j/k! That scavenger hunt sounded neat, Scuby! Sooooo cold though in that snow, with T-shirts on??? Glad you will have a sunny day today. Looks that way here, too. Good change from the dreary sky and rain of yesterday.
OK, no one at the mimosa fountain.....looks like I can hog it for a bit. THEN will teeter-toddle over to a lounge chair and ask Pants to bring me a Bloody Mary....gawgeous day by the pool. OK, but now it is TOOO quiet, where is ebberyone?????

Hey hey, look who's here! Beenzie Weenzie is back! So good to see you and I ditto what Kathy said about staying away too long. Loved the Maxine Living Will, but will admit.....I read the blurry version! How much did you miss? Whoa Kathy...................you hot little mama you! I had a purple finch that flew into The Shady Lady yesterday. My neighbor was in there with me when I saw it, and get this, she is afraid of birds, and went running out. It was easy to cup him into my ends and let him go. It always amazes me how fragile they are. We don't have any tree frogs here, but they are so cute.
Gosh DorK and Scubz.............snow already? I am not looking forward to winter, I hate it. Mostly cuz it gets dark so early.
Karen, sounds like you had a little bit of a better day, hope you have another one today. Did mom finish her wine?

Thank you all for your comments on mine and Kathy's picture. And since I got to see her face to face, I can vouch for the fact that she DOES NOT look her age at all. I had mentioned that we should have a pajama party and Allison could do our nails. So lets keep it going.

LOL.....now who can we say is in the blue jammies???? Funny pic, Lori. And I am GLAD I was not the ONLY one who read the blurry version! WIth this teeny netbook, not too much shows up as the screen is so small, so thats my excuse...what's yours? LOL. Cute jammies. Awwww, I love the purple finches....haven't seen them for a couple of wks or so, but they usually like our feeder by the window, as DH keeps sunflower seeds in it. Glad you were able to rescue it. THe hummies had gone, so DH brought the feeder in, and the other day a lone hummie kept flying by where the feeder had been. Awwwwwwww.....that was sad. Never know when we might have some fly by on their way further south.
Can you believe I might get to meet Bernie is just 8 days???? Bernie, like Lori said, I am also so sorry you are having to have rads. Hope you will be finished with the rads soon!!!! And sure hoping we get to meet.

Looks like another rainy day....Day is stressful already....Dad went the bed last nigth....dont' think he remember cuz mom said when he got up to go to bathroom, she changed the sheets.....taking them out of the dryer she tripped...commented too much stuff on the floor, but she's also so upset!!! the fall scared me but she is okay......Forwarded mom the email from Frontier to print my boarding pass and she was going to print that....didn't know that she had to check in first....as smart as mom is, somethings I wonder.....
Need to jump in the shower.....they are both slow moving so we won't even get out of the house for a couple more hours....not sure what we will do as if it rains, we can't take dad's scooter and he really can't walk any distance with it.......

Morning girls! Just quick catch up and check in. Lori and Kathy, you gals are beautimous! I'm envious of both of your beautiful hair! Love it! Haven't been able to catch up much, with brother, SIL, niece, and their two chihuahua's visiting. They will be leaving soon, gonna go spend more time with them. He will show me how to upload stuff, and first will upload a pic of my niece and daughter, then my dogs, one of which has become a whodini at getting out of the back yard, so stressful! Cheers!

Kath/Bernie, we were in Kilkenny a number of years ago, had a blast. Kilkenny had just won the all-Ireland Hurling championship, they sure knew how to celebrate! Will keep my fingers and toes crossed that it works out. I liked Smithwicks there, but it doesn't seem to taste the same here...
Lori, the diamond dash was for a crappy ring, it was funny to watch though!
Oh well, sunny day, ice left from yesterday is melting. Time to get my arse in gear!

good morning ladies, poppin in for a massage omg my back is soooo sore damn stress. Haveing some AH Ha moments this weekend and still some crying jags but mvoing forward. Am taking Oprahs life classes and one thing she said was if someone shows you who they are...believe them. That really struck a cord with me. Am also reading alot on Narcissism on its very scary how the words of the victims could have been taken right out of my own head. Its so hard to believe I allowed myself to be in this situtaion and harder to understand why there is still love there, but from what I am learning its longing for the love of myself not him. I have a long ways to go girls but at least I am on the right track. Love you all hope you had a great weekend

Kymn, Yup, you are really healing, and your eyes are being opened. I also found out after 2 abusive marriages, that the men I married (who acted so confident) were really very insecure. They latched onto me, because I WAS confident and secure, and just whacked away at me a bit at a time. I guess when they cause you to fall, then they feel important and successful. After my eyes were opened (during the psych section of nursing classes), and I realized I was dating a similar guy at the time, I changed the types of guys I wanted to be with, and then met my late DH, who was exceptional. Sometimes we have to look at ourselves too, and why we have been attracted to that type of guy. It is not always obvious, though. You will make it, girl! I know you will.

It has taken me 3 years to get my long hair back, but the thing that I am most grateful for, is the fact that I haven been given this extra time to be here! You hair will be back before you know it. You do know it can come back curly? Glad you got the photos figured out and good to see your pretty face now! Is that your lampshade for the party???? LOL!

Ohhhhh Allison, I think Lori's DH would LOVE that bacon lamp! Your furbabies are sooooo cute! The B&W one would look just like my Molly if it had longer, cocker spaniel ears. Is that one Booker? Molly is half English Springer Spaniel, half Cocker Spaniel; Maverick (her bro) is half English Springer Spaniel, and half Border Collie. We rescued them together. Both of my furbabies were curled up on the BIG round dog bed I put out for them last night. Thanks for the pics!!! Your DD and niece are so adorable!!!

Rainy, rainy, rainy day here in S. Florida.....we went to a mall for a couple hours this afternoon just to get out of the house....then senior citizen dinner hour....5pm!!!! its 5:45 and seems later than that......up early tomorrow to fly home....8:30 flight.....need to leave around 6 or 6:30 for the airport....it took us an hour to get home the other day...but mom says I can drive....just not sure how busy the airport will be monday morning....I only have carry-on bags so don't need to check anything...already have my boardingh pass....only questions is do I have DH come get me then go back for DD who gets back in 2 hours after me, or do I just hang out at the airport.....I could always play on the computer or write some reports for work that I need to get done......should decide tonight........if I hang out for DD then I'll go to the gate (which I ususally do) if not I'll just pick her up curbside as she only has carry-on!!!
Cable is out and mom is talking to comast and trying to figure it all out.....got a couple pics of mom and of dad but want one of us together....or should I say one of me and dad and me and mom.....thought of it when we got home that I should have had the waiter take a pic of all 3 of us!!!! oh well.....wonder if mom would ask a neighbor?

OH GOOD! Glad you got the pics you wanted. Hoping your DD does not get stuck somewhere. That is quite a mess in the NE right now. Felt sorry for those people stuck on the tarmac, in the plane for 7 hrs. Yikes!
