But we ARE a fun bunch, so am not surprized some of de men wud enjoy our escapades, too.

Had a Friday the 13th scare already. My parents called (well the call WUZ from their number), but no one there when I answered. Then I kept calling back, and NO answer. Even sent them an email to see if they were ok and phone was messed up. Wuz about to dwive over b4 getting ready to take DH in, but thankfully I called 1 more time, and my mom answered. Said they were both outside and no one called us. *twilight zone music*......or cud be she called b4 going outside, and jest foigot. Weird, but glad they are ok! I wuz verrrrrry worrried. LOL Bernie, no, I had to hit the shower to get ready to bring DH to the Surgery Center. We are here now, and I will get to go back with him soon, till they take him off for the procedures. They said we could be here 3-4 hrs. Yikes!!! BUt he is having the "double whammy", so guess it does take longer. Hugs to all!

I know, Bernie, thats so funny! What does "hit the shower" mean to you? I remember on our last trip to OZ, our cousins said we were going to go to the mountains for a couple of days, and I should take a "jumper". Well, I rarely wear dresses, so asked her about it, and it turns out that "jumper" is what we refer to in the U.S. as a "sweater".

Just got home...quicker than expected, and all looks well. Dr took a biopsy of the Barretts, which he said is very long, but he didn't notice any changes. I had arrived equipped to spend the day, and others who had nothing with them to pass the time, had been there for hours!

Gorgeous day here, but I have felt quite dizzy all day, so the dr said sometimes the OTC patches work for that, so guess I will head to the drugstore. I noticed it while on our trip too, so maybe have some fluid.

    Ciao for Niao,

Mema, Some of de galz (and DH's) here have Barretts too....it is like a "pre-cancer" (or so I think), and the esophagus cells change to be like the stomach cells. Lotta times caused from too much reflux, etc. Gotta keep a watch on it though. Started getting dizzy in Portugal...prolly from all the flying....happens to me sometimes, but its been YEARS. Then after having it during the trip, started coming back the other day, but much worse today. Used to get a script from my dr, but will try OTC this time. I almost thought DH would have to drive home, and he was instructed to NOT drive for 24 hrs! Mese beez otay, just feels weird, so am hoping to get it GONE. Sweet of your DH to bwing you a yummy dwink in de parking lot! WooHoo!!!!!

I still have my grand puppy, my DD will be picking her up later tonight. I have been puppy sitting since humpdey - my DD moved into a new apartment and it is easier to move without having a puppy to look after. We are having fun!

A big hailo to de rest of you goils, mese is tired, hoping to stay awake fer one more dwinky. I've had only 23 dwinks tonight and I jest hate odd numbers so I needs one mores. Pants, rounds for all. Wese sailabrating de return of our long lost loungette, yay!   CheerZ!

Mornin sunshines! Where is everybody? It is quite early though. Gotta get ready to go pick up DD from a lock-in. Then two visitations to get to; one clients mother passed, another clients father. DH is turkey hunting, so will have to take Aubrey with me. Sure hope she got a lil rest last night!

Kathy, glad Glenn's tests went well, and hope you got something to help with the dizziness. My brother takes flush free niacin, swears by it.

Gail, are you gonna come back? I hope so!!

Good Morning, Lougettes!  Just a quick pop in for a wake-me-up dwinky before starting the workday. Got a visit close to home first thing, so I get a second cup of coffee and a few minutes to jump on the boards this am.  Had a really funny moment yesterday, gotta tall youse all about it:  I've been wanting one of those hammock chair thingys like this:

so I ordered one.  It was delivered day before yesterday, and yesterday I set it up, hanging from a branch on the pine tree in  my front yard.  got it all tied up, all the dowels in place, got the foot rest hung and the drink holder put on, and went to sit down in it and relax and enjoy the moment.  Well, I forgot one little detail--pine trees are not rigid branched trees.  The branches flex with wind and with weight.  So when I sat down I went down and DOWN until I was sitting on the ground!   It really was funny, just picture me sitting there in my chair on the ground, LMAO.  Talk about not thinking things through!

Now that's reason for a dwinky!!!!

Hope it set you down gradually NM, and not with a THUMP! My DH loves hammocks, so we have a big metal hammock holder and always had a hammock in it for him. WELL.....about 5 yrs ago we lost one of the heavy metal hooks that holds it to the heavy chain, holding it the hammock to the stand. Thought I had one at my workbench....BUT....it was not heavy enuf, and we found out the hard way when DH got in it. HE fell with a thump, as he landed on the heavy metal bar (big square shape) that goes across, on the ground, right on his back! Since then, we have the stand still in place, but no hammock....can't say that I blame him though. This is in a heavily planted area, in the trees, so I always worry about spiders. Maybe if I put in in the grassy area and somehow pad that bar across the bottom. YEAH, but I am surprised ya didn't think about how weak the pine branches are. JUST HOPE you didn't get hurt!!! Is there somewhere else you can hang it? Gotta admit....first thought it was one of those s3x chairs...LOL. Yes, bwing on da dwinks for our dear NM!!! BTW, any suggestions for vertigo? I started dramamine last night, but had to fall back into bed this am when I first tried to get up.

Alli, what is "flush free niacin"? At this point, I'll try ANYTHIN!! Sad to hear you are going to 2 visitations today. That is sweet that you are going though. Hope Aubrey got some sleep last night! She was in my dream a couple of nights ago. We were all there in the audience, and she was on stage, singing....didn't look at all like her....but still a cutie! We were all talking about how cute she is (and she really IS!), then I woke up. Funny, yeah. Guess its ok that your DH is turkey hunting since you wouldn't be able to go on the boat today, with the visitations. So we won't be calling him a turkey....he has redemption!

Just got up....twying to wake up wid da cuppa joe. Dorkie, you stopped dwinkin eurly last night....were you only on 23-24? I foiget. Actually I lost count...lol. Can't dwink while taking the durn dramamine....will you dwink for mese? Pwetty pwease??? Missing Beansie, but know you are having some fun adventures with your DH....can't wait to have you back "in the fold"! Chrissy, how are you doing, sweetie? And Lori, Lisa, Gail, Karen, Sue, Kristy, Kymn, and all you other lovelies...hope ebbery1 has a great Saturd-dey! Taking my mom to Swan Lake today.....

    Hugssssssss,

Mema, dat wuz a cute email from your friend. I like the one about being NEW friends when we geet owd and see nile.

Kat, glad all went well with your DH and that you got out of there sooner than expected. THAT is always a plus. And hope you can get the dizziness taken care of! Oh dear, your poor DH falling and on that metal bar *OUCH*. Have a fun day with mom.

DorK, I can just see Lana and Ginger playing together. Also, Astorm also gave us our Magic Party Bus, member?

NM, you story of the hammock turned out better than I expected. I knew as soon as you said PINE TREE, it wasn't going to be good. Glad it was just a slow droop to the ground and not a crashing one, which is what I expected.

Well, it is freakin SNOWING here this morning, I can't believe it! I do have my plant protectors on my maters, so this will be a great test. I think we should all have Brandy Coffee dis ayem! And a pwetty rose for all my breasties, whom I lub so berry muchly.

HaHa Me too Lori....dat what we'll all be...LOL.  Snow??? what's with that...glad you have the maters protected.  We've had wind since I got home from AZ.  Tossed that plane around til some peoples almost lost their cookies.  Finally quit huffing and rained last night and now only bout 40o outside.  Yuk.  Got things to do And my furbabies jes got bathed yest and they gonna be nasty again by end of the day.  Sigh!  Might as well go grab a Brandy Coffee..  :-)

NM - yep, I too saw that coming, got huge pines around our little park, can't stand all the pine needles.  So relieved tho, that it was a gradual drop and not the snap-fall-crash.  Reminds me of those office chairs that get old, ya sit down, n start to drop like an inch at a time.  Makes me laugh picturing u on your descent...LOL.  Glad u ok and hope you have a great day.  Hey, when you gonna here whether ya got the 32 hr-4day spot?

Alli - Good Morning!  DH gets to shoot today, then you two have date tanight...iz dat right?  Hope you get some time together...I'm gonna go date-date with my DH later.  OO la la!

Kathy - I was given some exercises for my vertigo, never took a pill tho.  It still flairs up, like after plane rides, so when it does, I jes do the exercises for a couple days and I'm good.  I will try to look it up and pass it on to you.  'puter already acting up....so bare with me, mayb try the niacin til then.

    Lub lub lub ya'll!

Beans, where is the secret location???

Here are 2 pictures from my house this morning. We have about 6" of snow and it's still coming down. Saw the thermometer drop to 24 degrees. First is a pic of my maters, covered with the plant protectors. This will be a true test for those babies! Second one is one of my hummingbirds! I had to go out and wipe the snow off it, so they could get to it.

    LOL at the pic, Bernie!

OMG Lori, that is something to see! So glad you have the hummie feeders out so the little birdies can get some nourishment. I think it will be 80 or so here tomorrow. So hard to believe it has snowed there....I know you told us, but it just makes it so much more real to see a picture!! And that is a LOT of snow (well, by deep south standards!).

Waiting for my mom, she wants us to use her car today, but I am going to drive when she gets here!

Snow, snow, go away, and DON'T come back another day (well, at least wait till winter, ok?)!

Hey Beans! Glad you're having fun!

Lori, I love the yellow rose, that is my favorite flower! And can't believe you have all dat dern snow, yuck!

Kathy, niacin is a supplement, you can find it with the vitamins. Buy the flush free, otherwise you have a really bad flush, like a really intense hot flash, no fun. My brother has meniere's disease, and that works best for him. You can look it up. Too funny you had a dream about Aubrey!

NM, so sawwy, but mese is LMAO, picturing you on the ground laughing, branches bent, lol. Are they permanently bent now?

Mema, DH and I had a date night last two nights, Blue Man Group Thursday, and out to dinner last night after dropping Aubrey off at a lock in. Hope you and DH have fun tonight!

Well, don't have nasty snow like Lori, but it is cold and rainy here today. Just got home from visitation. DH is asleep, after waking so early to hunt. Aubrey went straight to bed, as she only slept for two hours last night. I am laying on couch, bout to take a nap myself. Sugar land is in concert here tonight. Saw them last time they were here, and it was soooooo awesome. Found tickets online in section one on the floor, row E, for $118 a ticket. Very tempting, but we would have to buy three, cause Aubrey loves them, and thinking hate to spend the money if everyone's gonna be half asleep. Think I will see how the day goes, and if we're up to it later, see if they are still available, maybe cheaper.

Meanwhile, hoppin on the STURDY hammock in the bugless HTL, takin a snooze in the pollen free, perfect weather.

Hey girls, glad to see everyone. Gail, welcome back! Who is the official "keeper of the contacts"? I don't think I've shared mine with anyone either. After we had 3 deaths in 6 days on the TN site, I had a hard time going there for awhile. Just too close to home. Sometimes you just need a break, but hopefully not because of prying eyes!

Got a call from my mom yesterday, in the hospital with "benign positional vertigo". Luckily she is home already today. I am going with her to the pulmonologist on Monday. She evidently has sleep apnea and is supposed to get a C-PAP, but she is fighting it and very upset. So I will help her navigate the information.although she is a retired RN, we all know what it is like hearing disturbing medical news alone!

We have been in a tornado watch all day. Lots of storms all around, so made sure our "tornado closet" was prepped. Husker spring game was cancelled (unheard of in football country!) and our HS prom postponed until tomorrow. ABC World News Tonight is in Omaha as well as The Weather Channel. DH is struggling with deciding whether or not to head out to Omaha for the Jimmy Buffett concert tonight, a 120 mile drive one way. He has about 30 minutes to decide.

Just doing a bit of cleaning , but mostly watching TiVo and movies on Netflix, checking out my favorite computer sites and threads and eating popcorn. I am such a slug!

Hi Kristy! You can send me your info if you want, I keep all my girls in my contacts on my phone, and in an address book. Doesn't matter, as long as someone has a number incase you go MIA; we don't wanna have ta send out Dork's peeps on you, no APB's, K?  And be careful wit dose tornado warnings! Jimmy Buffet is perty tempting though, lol. Hmmmm, makes me want a margarita. Calling the new Mr. Big (can we call him Mr. Bigger?) Yes, Paging Mr. Bigger, can we get pitchers of top shelf Margarita's poolside, PRONTO?! Thank you Mr Bigger, ahhhhhhh
