Hello my lovelies,
Had to take a break from all things computer related.....found myself obsessing instead of living. Guess I haven't been here since about March 19th or so. I will need to do some catching up, lol. Trusting that you are all well and taking good care of each other as always.
Wanted to let you know that I found a wonderful PS and surger is next Monday...the 30th. All done with chemo on April 9th, starting to feel good physically. Made it all through chemo with no anti-depressants, but have found myself a total wreck this week before surgery. Would appreciate your prayers not just for me, but also for my boys and wonderful boyfriend.
P.S.-I have a quarter inch of hair!!!!

I'm on page 763 and LMOA about NM's hammock, so neet to weeed frwom dere, but wanted to say I'm back, had a sh*t cr*p trip, but at least I got some sun and a bit of a tan (well really, bein red-blond-head of northern yourapeeeeeeean decent my skin goes from pink to red to bright red and then back to pink) (sun or hot flash, same effect, ha ha ha).
Anywayz I'm baaack and I missed you HTL Hotties so much! Even if I ain't here to say, "WTF?" I am thinking of youzes alwayzes with all the love a little bean heart can hold. Heya all from Cape Town in sunny South Africa. Great to have found this topic, it stuck out like a sore thumb for me. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has continued to enjoy life with a couple (not saying how many) of drinks in between. I sometimes have this HUGE guilt trip after a weekend, but once Monday has passed, I think "WTH?". Not that I start all over on Monday again!! LOL. Stayed off the booze during my "Red Devil" chemo, still went out, but drank virgin Bloody Mary's or Creme Soda, was a hoot to see how intoxicated folk act, and also really great to wake up without a hangover. I can't resist an iced cold beer or apple cider. I only do Jack on special occassions. And as I read in a post when this topic was first raised, BC is not a result of a lifestyle, it is a disease. So at the moment I'm feeling damn good all round and the guilt has faded somewhat. Take Care ALL

Hi Cape Town, Come on and join us! I had my firs "hard" apple cider in Ireland last fall (Bulmer's) and love it! Very potent too...sneaks up on ya! We have a beer connisseur (sp?) among us, but she is scuba diving right now. Maybe you could share some of your fav brews?
Chrissy, SHEESH! Bet you are frickin tired of being in that (un)hospitable place. Gets weary after awhile, doesn't it? BUT you still have your fun, upbeat attitude, which is awesome! Heya, our booze in South Africa differs slightly from yours, but I do love our BLACK LABEL beer, it is actually the only beer on our market, the rest are ales, lagers, draughts, etc. The same goes for the "hard" apple cider. Ours is called HUNTERS. I do the HUNTERS DRY. Shooters, well I'm starting to go down the list at the local pub, getting more adventurous every weekend. Have to have at least 1 Tequila to give me a little kick. Last weekend landed up sucking up PANCAKES off the counter. Waste not, Want not!
WIth regards to the nightcap, I'd say JACK DANIELS. LOL. Sweet dreams

Nooooo, we were sucking them up off the counter. PANCAKE is what we call a shooter, a mix of AFTER SHOCK (cinnamon based), AMARULA (similar to BAILEYS IRISH Cream) and a third of something else.
