    Morning Babes.

Hope Jessica is feeling better.  Home made chicken soup - blended.  Rice pudding with stewed apple stirred in.

Don't like chocolate, very rarely I would eat any sweet stuff.  Ice cream gives me a headache.   Prefer savoury food.

I love Australian wine - I chill my red wine.  My friend in Belgium told me that 100 years ago rooms were really cold so wine was cold.  In Italy they also chill red wine.

I hate being too warm - have no heating in the cottage.  Just a wood burning range, which I can cook with as well.

Can't sit out in the sun makes me feel sick and I get heat rashes.

Am allergic to all antihistamines and the common used antibiotics, also have allergic reactions to bug bites and stings.

Cutting my finger and toenails hurts me.

My friends and family think I'm weird

Answers given by 7yr old school children to the following questions:

    Why did God make mothers?
    1. She's the only one who knows where the sticky tape is.
    2. Mostly to clean the house.
    3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

    How did God make mothers?
    1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
    2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
    3. God made my Mum just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
    1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
    2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other Mum?
    1. We're related.
    2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's Mums like me.

What kind of little girl was your Mum?
    1. My Mum has always been my Mum and none of that other stuff.
    2. I don't know because I wasn't there but my guess would be pretty bossy.
    3. They say she used to be nice.

What did Mum need to know about Dad before she married him?
    1. His last name.
    2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
    3. Does he make at least £800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your Mum marry your Dad?
    1. My Dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my Mum eats a lot.
    2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
    3. My Grandma says that Mum didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?
    1. Mum doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because Dad's such an idiot.
    2. Mum. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
    3. I guess Mum is, but only because she has a lot more to do than Dad.

What's the difference between Mums & Dads?
    1. Mums work at work and work at home and Dads just go to work at work.
    2. Mums know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
    3. Dads are taller & stronger, but Mums have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friend's.
    4. Mums have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your Mum do in her spare time?
    1. Mothers don't have spare time.
    2. To hear her talk, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your Mum perfect?
    1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
    2. You know, her hair. I'd die it, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your Mum, what would it be?
    1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
    2. I'd make my Mum smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.
    3. I would like her to get rid of those invisible things.

Good Morning, Loungettes! I've got a lovely foggy morning, here. At least it's going to be warmer than earlier in the week! I slept really well and am still tired this morning, not sure what that's all about, but maybe it will get better after some coffee.

DorKable--yup, washing the bedding from the apartment would be a good idea. She sounds like a prime candidate for repeated strep infections--very busy with work, school, volunteer work. Washing the pillows is the best thing to do to help prevent re-infection. If the pillows can't be washed then laying them out in the sun for a day helps a lot.

Mema--how sweet you had your own personal waterfall! Sounds like you and Maddie had a wonderful time!

CynCyn--hope you left some likker for us early birds! Oh, wait, maybe youse still here, me gonna have to look around when me gets me eyes opened all the way!

Bernie--I can't wait to hear his explanation of that predicament! Gonna be a GOOD story! And you are not weird, you are UNIQUE! I know a few people who are allergic to sunshine, must be hard to work around that one!

    Morning DahhhlinKs!

Bernie n Juliet thanks for the 'smiles', love the kiddy speak.  Amazing how their little brains work and they have no problem telling ya 'jes like it is', in their world anyway.  LOL

LORI is fine.  Spoke to her this morning...they have the big truck loaded, Darryl driving it and Lori following, they are about 1/2 way home now.  Doc appt yest was good too.  Sends her 'thanks' to all for the concern and prayers!

NM - your pic dat kiddy pool...looks jes like me...LOL.  I'm on my 2nd cup of joe...Maddy is up, having her coffeemilk and 'wakin' up herself.  We have a date at the 'big' pool at the clubhouse at 9, so gotta git her moving, fed, dressed, etc.  Wish I could sneak a DOTD...j/k...like a clear head when I'm alone with my gd.  Now if papa is home...that's a diff story :-)

Morning Chrissy and to the rest of my Breasties....will try and check in later...is der a party in the HTL for Fried-dey?

A photographer, who was also a confirmed atheist, decided to go into the woods to get photos of the fall foliage.
It was a beautiful day....fall colours, birds chirping, babbling brook, and a gentle breeze rustling the leaves.
While snapping shots, the atheist heard a noise behind him, and whirled around to see a huge bear coming through the bushes. He dropped his camera and ran. And kept running....... and looking behind him, he noticed the bear was gaining on him. He was so scared that tears came to his eyes. He ran faster, but the bear was closing in on him. He ran faster yet, and tripped over a root. Rolling over onto his back, the atheist saw the bear rise to his full height and raise a huge paw...... and the atheist cried out, "Oh, God, no!"
And everything stopped. The birds stopped chirping. The brook stopped babbling. The gentle breeze stopped. And the bear froze with his paw in the air. And the atheist heard a booming voice say, "Young man. For years you doubted my very existence, but now that your life is in peril you call my name to help you. Why should I do so?"
And the atheist thought for a moment, and said, "Yes, you are right. If you are God, then it would be hypocritical of me to become a Christian at this point in my life. But, do you think that you could at least make the bear a Christian for today?" And the booming voice was quiet for a moment and then said, "Done."
And everything started again. The birds chirping, brook babbling, and gentle breeze rustling the leaves. And the bear slowly lowered his paw.
And the bear put his paws together, and bowed his massive head and said, "Dear Lord, please bless this food we are about to eat."

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation.
Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, 'Kin ya swallar?'
The woman shakes her head no.
Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?'
The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no.

The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.
The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth.
As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table.
His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'

A Husband and wife are shopping in their local Wal-Mart. The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife. 'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans.' he replies. 'Put them back, we can't afford them.' demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping. A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband. 'It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful.' replies the wife. Her husband retorts: 'So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price. 'On the PA system: 'Cleanup needed on aisle 25, we have a husband down.'

thanks Bernie - needed a laugh!  So happy to see you back!  it is supposed to be a nice weekend here in Philly, DorKiest, I hope Jessica starts to feel better (strep hurts!).

So I got through the clean up procedure on the left side, back in 2 weeks for the other side.  Hurt more than I anticipated.  but came home and iced it all day to minimize swelling.

I have been way down the rabbit hole - kind of post traumatic shock in some way I think - given the end is in sight for the surgery crap - did anyone else go through that in finishing up treatment stuff?  Got a referal to see a shrink who specializes in menopausal issues (both for regular menopause and surgically induced like me) - figure it is worth a shot.  I already take Effexor so am not sure what else she can do drug wise...  But at least doing something makes me feel a bit better.

Enough whining, thanks for listening!  It is Friedey!  How about a BOTD?  A German Pilsener - Jever Pilsener, 4.9% Alcohol, perfect summer beer!  Cheers Dears and Lotsa Beers!

Scuby - It is so good to hear from you. I went down the
rabbit hole too. I've had so many ups and downs after finishing tx so I totally
understand. I do think this is very normal. So that is why we have so
many parties and drink so much. Menopause was chemo induced for me and it is
quite an adjustment. Please know you are welcome to wine or whine anytime cuz
you're talking to those who know what you are going thru!!! Love the Jever
Pilsner BOTD - YAY! Thanks !!

Bernie - LOL at the dog on the bra leash, the kids answers,
the atheist joke and the hind lick maneuver and the wal mart shopping. So
funny. Can I join you in dwinking some vino and being bad? LOL at your friends
and family thinking you're weird, I can dwink to that, my sister thinks I'm
really weird living a rural life...Love your posts!

Mema - I sawwy I got da doggy in the painting's name bixed
up yesterday...that is such a pretty painting!! Thanks for the update on Goldie,
so glad to know she is doing okay!

    Goldie - Still missing you!!

Juliet - Love the puppy glam shot! And the kid dialog, so
    cute!

NM - Your Coffee Lover's Martini DOTD is excellent and I am
so happy to see a little frito sun to go with it...still raining buckets here on
    Planet Hoth.

Cindy - sounds like you had a blast closing the bar last
    eve.

DorK - Sure hope your DD is feeling better!

Mrs V - Even old chicks like me are too young for this chit -
LOL! I'm pushin 55 but everyone says that 55 is the new 45. I can still jog for
most of an hour, then I dwink a lotta wine and pass out.

Chrissy, Katrinka, Goldie and all you lovely HTL ladies, let's
have a wild and funny party weekend...can't wait to see what you come up with.
For now (and always) I'm seeking sun by da pool and ordering a round of DOTD's
    or BOTD's whichever youse prefer.

Thanks for the Lori update Mema! Was worried about her, glad all is good. Enjoy that grandbaby!

Hey ScubyDoo, so glad to see u outta dat hole! And glad you got a Dr appt., hope she can help. Wondering, why did they split your surgeries up? Regardless, glad you only have the one left, then you get your cool tattoo. Did you ever get the pic of the tattoo?

Beanzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! So happy you are back, missed your regular posts. I am ready for Pau Hana, Fo Sho! And you go girl wit youse jogging an hour! Woo Hoo for you. So funny you drink wine then and pass out, you always crack me up!

And Bernie, I will not tell. Hope it was yummy!

Went to Camp Hi-Ho with Aubrey today. It is such an awesome camp, so much to do. we ate hotdogs and popcorn at the big cook out, then the kids put on a talent show, aubrey sang a Selena Gomez song this year. Then we lined up for the "Hi Ho Express" which is where the owner of the camp has a four wheeler, with an attatched trailer. The trailer is lined with fake grass and padding, and you sit in there, 8 at a time, and he takes you ona fun ride around the whole camp. There are different spots where you get soaked, sprayed by hoses, and these guys are on the roof with buckets of water, dumping them on your head as you pass. He did a last ride, and there were only 7, so I took off my shoes and went too. It was so much fun! Aubrey thought it was way cool that I did it.

Now home doin laundry, boring! Bring on Pau Hana!

    Happy Friedey goils!

I am here for the Pau Hana friedey night partay, wooooo hooooooo! And i'ze sailabrating Scuby doo in the house.

Good to see you Scuby. I sure hope the new doc can help you feel better. I also wondered why your doc is doing separate surgeries but when I tink about it, it makes sense. It is half the pain! My revision also hurt more than I thought it would. With the exchange, the area that was cut was numb so I did not feel as much pain, more discomfort than anything. I hope your results are good but remember, it does take time. My dented area is looking better. I have given up all hope of having foobs that look like the ones in the picture forums here. i jest pop a fukitol and say *uck it all then dwink. I've been praying for ya, Scubs.

Bernie, glad you enjoyed your fav meal and I pwomise not to tail on ya!

So glad to hear that Lori's mission went well and that her doc appt was good too. Missing her in de lounge. Will look forward to seeing her tomorree.

I hope Kathy is winning or at the berry least, having a blast!

Suz, enjoy your Maddie. Little ones are jest awesome to have a round. Their smiles make the world a happy place.

Beanie, I hope de rain stopped but if not, jest come in here where de sun is always shining!

Cyndie, where you at todey? Did I miss ya or am I jest dwunk? Can't back up a page without losing de post. Not that dere is much to lose but we all know how that goes. If the BCO folks could do jest one ting, my wish would be to bix that problem with the post eating gremlin.

Hope NM is having a good work dey and not too fatigued. I hope it is warming up there, NM.

Alli, the camp finale sounds so fun. They used to do something similar on de last day of camp when my DD went. I remember how proud my daughter was to get the big 'feather' award. Her theme was Indians. I do believe that the place where she camped was once an Indian reservation. Sadly, it was wiped out a few years ago with flooding and it took years to rebuild. Thanks for sharing, the memories of those days are great. So are you partaying now? It is 5 o'clock somewhere and i tink it is where you are. Not dat it weally matters, eh?

Juliet, thanks for de cute pics. Was that you that posted de pile of puppies? I jest love puppies but I am not quite happy with my DD's pup todey. She has been naughty and I've had to chase her a few too many times. I can't be mad at her long though cuz she so dang cute.

Thank you all for the well wishes for my daughter. She is starting to feel a little bit better. She finally got out of bed and showered today - a good sign. I hate being paranoid of touching anything and find that my lap top is the only thing that is not possibly contaminated. And I can not stand the smell of the lysol, it is making me sick to my stomach. I sprayed this morning but for now, I am jest using a paper towel to open the fridge, doors, swiches etc.

And thanks I think it was Juliet who gave addl suggestions on food items. I will be sending my baby daddy to de store tomorree when he comes but for now have loaded up on frozen popsickles, water ice and apple sauce. My kid has always loved apple sauce and apple juice. Her friends used to call her apple in 1st and 2nd grade because I used to pack her everything apple for lunch, even apple jelly on the PBJ's. She was easy to feed back in the day.

If I missed anyone, mese ashamed and will accept eny punishment given. Spayshally spankings lol!

    cheers!
