Good morning, Loungettes! Raining like a son of a gun this am, starting to get tiresome but still nice to listen to, especially at night. Of course the sun is coming out for the weekend, then rain again for next week. Oh, well.
Wahine--I come from a family line of strong women. Of course, the description "strong" is often replaced with "stubborn" or "heard headed" or something similar by the men in our lives! Auntie can be pretty dang feisty when she gets wound up!
Juliet--I truly LOL! Poor penguin! My health plan pushes staying in system, too, but I've learned to interview docs, and then pay the extra if I find one out of system that I feel better working with than the in system one. Funny how drugs can be 'heat stable' in order to be shipped to us, but have to be stored in controlled temperatures in the pharmacy or hospital, isn't it? Here's to NED next round of testing!
Undy--funny how what we are used to affects our opinions of other things--I am terrified of tornados and earthquakes, but hurricanes and blizzards are just part of life. Of course, the only hurricane I've actually been in was when I was 3 years old. . . .

Lisa--Hooray for banked sick days! All the health care systems in my area now put a cap on how many sick days you can bank. When I was going through surgery and rads I had 800 hours of time built up. It was a lifesaver!

Mornin Kim!! And that is crazy, huh? And Natties are the beer Cyn drinks. Short for the real name, which I can't think of right now. And thank you for the hoorays! Yes, my bloodwork all miraculously looks good now! All the numbers are in the normal range, with he only low normal being my WBC still, but it was 2.7 6 weeks ago, 3.9 last week, and 4.6 yesterday, which is great! normal range being 4.5-15. So Woo Hoo!! My Onc said "see, I told ya! You're just one of the few people that it takes a little longer to come up!" So, I left outta there, called the new PS and booked my surgery for July 19th!! Woo Hoo!
Lori, I just love those pics of you and your dh in Hawaii! And your hair looked cue too!! Mine is growing, almost have bangs!! And so awesome that you are getting the pellets!! They are the ones mixed with arimidex, right? Did your Dr contact the Millenium wellness center? Just wondering. Soooooo Happy for you!! You will feel soooooo much better! I go a week from Friday to get mine again, and can already tell they are starting o wear off, as my hot flashes are getting worse again, but still not as bad as before. Go you!! And the black sand beach is so cool!

Go to Youtube, and search Ellen Degeneris hidden camera Sophia and it will pop up. Then watch Dennis Quaid at starbucks, then Jennifer Lopez. They are so funny!! Dorothy, I sure hope your computer cooperates for you today. Hate we both had to go back to work. Well, I'm happy to not be working from my house now. But I know you would rather be lounging in the pool, or planting flowers. The weekend will be here before you know it!
Stella, when you go to Disney, the only theme park that doesn't serve alcohol is Magic Kingdom, so go there during the day. Then hit Epcot and the others at night, cause they all serve likker!! And have fun, and BE GOOD!

Sheesh so many of you getting TOO MUCH rain, and then others (like me!) NEED rain! We've had temps over 100, and after too much rain this spring, everything is suffering. Hate when the grass makes that sound when you step on it, cuz its dying (hope its going dormant instead!).

Hope everyone is doing well! I've got to hurry and get ready. Going to another town to an awesome Natural History Museum with DD and g'kids. ALSO to celebrate DD's bday from last week, since she was soooo bizzy. WIll be about a 2.5 hr drive, longer than I first thought. And DH goes to Tunica today (5 hr drive for him). I will be HOME ALONE for 3 nights...yay!!! LOL. Do I hear "lampshade partay"?????

NM, how cool is that, that you get your fresh fish at a good price. Work it girl! As for the lava, they do have a boat tour you can do, and they take you up to the lava. I wanted to do that, but just didn't get to it.

Lucy, yes the lava picture was from the helicopter tour, a 2 hour one! I was really scared, but once we got up in the air, I did not want to come down. And we had a great guide, he was actually a news caster from CA, where is did reporting from the helicopter. You could still come to AZ, and stay wif me.

Alli, I do not know that show, but girl, you crack me up. As for the pellets, I just asked my onc about it and he gave me the name of the doctor. I don't think I need Arimidex in it, as I already take the pill form. AND, I'm not doing it for the hot flashes

I just dont know what to expect with this weather Juliet..seriously ..one window I look out has gray clouds the other one blue sky...whats up with that? I have been enjoying sleeping to rainfall tho..it is relaxing. Speaking of which..took one of those 10mg meletonin's last night....ehhh...not sure about them...kinda made me feel weird...I woke up about 3am and had a hella time getting back to sleep. I may pass and only use them when necessary.

Cyn it sounds like the dosage of Melatonin is not right. The 10mg sounds like it needs to be 5mg. Try cutting them in half and I think you may feel better about them.

Jes a quick pop in....been LOL after reading and trying to catchup. My stuff yest was all good. Talked to onco about the testosterone pellets...no go. Doesn't want any hormone, in any form, in my body. TP and all and still on the Herceptin which in essence 'blocks' all hormone production. My CA was jes on the high side, but she tells me it will fluctuate....so not worried.

Lori...I love curls and yours are very cute..ya know people without them want them and people with them dont...its one of those "grass is greener on the other side" type of thing...I love my natural curls now that I got em and you are like Goldie Locks curls..hence..Goldie..haha. When I was in AZ I saw hardly any weather phenom at all..I was so bored with sunshine every day..sounds funny but that gets old too...We did have a huge hail storm a couple months before I moved ..it was pretty bad..damaged a lot of vehicles..some dealerships were having Hail Sales' after and a lot of joke of that was one Hail of a storm..corney I know. And last year with the haboobs......I gotta laugh at that name...funny who came up with that..the indians?? Proly a dwunk one.

Cyndie, I had the same prob with the melatonin, waking up, until I started using the extended release. Prob is I can only find extended release in 3 mg. Try and search the site Sue gave ya for extended release in higher doses. And as for the pellets, call me, we will talk, and I will tell you about them, K?? My Onc was very interested yesterday. I was kinda her ginney pig I guess, now she's all over it!!
Goldielocks, when you stop the arimidex, you will want to have the pellets that are mixed. This Ddr still gives patients ER+ from BC who are also taking Arimidex the pellets with both. Just make sure they monitor your estrogen levels, to make sure it's not being converted. I am Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited you get to have them, and get some relief!! You will have to call me and let me know the dosage they give you to start. They are upping mine the next time, Yeh!!
Sue, I hate that you can't have the pellets, but would be a waste of $ if the drugs you take would block it anyway. I'm happy your appt went well, and pray you don't have any bad SE's with all that chit you have to get. Lub u girl!! Lori, The green sand beach is because of all the olivines.....but those are usually quite small and you have to sift through the sand to find enough to be worthwhile, but prolly not any good size ones there cuz of the rocks that grind them soooooo tiny.
Cyn, Yeah, get the timed release melatonin. I have the 5mg of "Finest" brand right now...prolly from Rite Aid or Walgreens. If you can't find that, just take 2 of the 3mg time release and see if that helps you stay asleep. We always do the B1G1 for all the supplements we get.
