Good afternoon, Loungettes! It was raining this am, so I went to see 2016 and did grocery shopping after. The movie was blah, but the shopping was good, got some good stuff to work with for dinners and to start taking lunches with me to work. The clouds are clearing off now, so maybe some mowing tomorrow!
CynCyn--Moving is such hard work, isn't it? A good chance to get rid of stuff and junk, but hard decisions to make at the same time. Stowing away stuff is always a good option! And I didn't spill a drop of dwinky, but the eggs hit the floor pretty hard, but here comes Sadie to help clean up!Juliet--I didn't realize this was a full moon weekend, I am SO glad to be NOT on call!!!!!!!!!
Goldie--the best investment in myself I have made in a long time was finding a good massage therapist. You really should try it at least once!
BBBBernie--what an pretty pile of puppy!!!!!! Hiya, Ash! What makes up a traditional roast dinner besides roast? Anything in particular?
Umm, we went from cooking recipe to doggy description. I got confused for a moment!ORLA--hiding a dwinky in a soft drink cup? GREAT IDEA!!!! But apparently a MacDonald's drink cup isn't quite big enough. . . .
Cammy--It's funny how docs can be different about showering with drains in! My BS didn't allow showers with a drain in, my PS had me start showering daily on the 3rd day after surgery. Both had the same reason--to minimize the risk of infection. How odd, huh? I actually do cook and bake, and love to do both. And I love to eat what I cook and bake. If I plan ahead I don't eat as much junk food and do better nutritionally. I've made Kahlua but not Bailey's, what's your recipe?
Ahh, the spumante should be cold by now, time for a dwinky poo!0 -
Oh Nativemaine it was so long ago and I didn't keep the ingrediants--I can't think of the word I want LOL
Cydi--I just moved a few months ago--to me it was horrible--I was in the same place for 25 yrs. Found Christmas presents that were never given, Oh I got rid of so much it to me was a shame some ood stuff Oh well.

LOL ...Cammy...it took me a while before I figured out how to post a pic..good job.
I love to cook too....I havent in some time tho ...rads spent me....I cooked when my daughter visited because her step mom doesnt cook ...and when she does..she doesnt do it well....I guess my cooking is pretty good because she took pics of her dinner every night...lol...crazy kid.
I just moved in January but it was a rush move and I took the first thing I could afford that was decent...I was in an abusive relationship and I had to get out...we call her XPB (X psyco bitch)..I've been really sad to be so far away from the beach and to leave the island I was living on and I have been intending on moving back when I found the "perfect" place...but I wasnt really going to look seriously until my lease was up here in Jan....well, I found it and I couldnt pass it up. So there it is..and Im stressing a bit about getting chit moved...pain in the a$$.
Must be hard living with people after being alone for so long. Im just excited and waiting to be able to get the hail out of this house and leave it to the boys and get my happy butt to the beach baby..
NM....enjoying your time off??? Lol...sorry bout the eggs..chit.

wowsa Cyn, you speaka cool langwich but mese not famiiar with that. you so smart. glad you interpretted. I hope your move goes easy. It is nice that you can move slowly and not have to do it in one day. I hated doing that and might be doing it again soon if the crib sells. The last time I had an easy move was moving out of my parents home at age 29! I was able to leave things behind for later. The sad thing is that I ended up donating a box of books I had in my closet. I was pregnant when my parents later sold the house and did not go through the boxes. I had not realized that a bible that my mom gave me when I was preteen was in that box. She wrote a personal message in it and I really cherished it, that is after I gave it away not realizing that was in the box of college text books that I donated. Darn, I wish I had that.
Sorry Cam that you were in an abusive relationship, I will pray that you are able to emotionally recover from that. I hate hearing abuse stories and feel terrible for people who are subject to abuse. As if having cancer is not enough abuse, hugs to you. Glad you are sharing with us, you can trust us. We are funny peeps but also very supportive to one another. If you ever want to talk, feel free to PM me or contact Cyn, I just know she would be open to sharing her story. The support here is wonderful. It is a fun thread but we do assist one another with life's chit outside of BC.
Juliet, I don't know the last time I had a tetunus shot but think mine is expired, not a bad idea to have one. And bringing me bubble wrap, dat is funny. I do move too fast when I am on a roll with things. Hope you are enjoying your time off. Still laughing about the crack head patient that did not want the flu shot since he does not like putting chit in his body. Silly crazy boy, musta been the full moon bringing out the lou-lous!
i have to get myself back on a normal schedule, I've been up late and slept late the past three days. It is back to work for me on Tuesday and it will not be easy getting my sorry ass to bed early tomorrow. I have had a wonderful few days off. OhhI went to sleep about idnite and wok up at 2AM---2 hrs. even I can figure that out.
Dork as I was reading u'r post I was thinking (occasionally I actually do) How many of u work or are planning to go back to work. It must be so difficult for u, but aybe if u like u'r job it might be theraputic (sp) and u'd keep up with u'r spelling. So u see I don't work. I'm not working but I don't miss working but I do miss y everyday friends.--Oh I still see and talk to (alot) my 3 wonderful ones I made over the years but it's not like seeing them everyday and goofing around everyday--Wait a minute we worked but we laughed alot --to much aybe but we did our jobs. I thought I was going to be able to go backbut it didn;t work out for me-- Oh great I can go on and on about nothing so I'll stop and I'm working on remembering everyones' names so this is my next big project--I'm trying.

DORK-I don't remember you being there for the sewgery but I think the cute docs remember you-their tushes were so red from being pinched by everyone! And I take these pics from my Facebook then they get squeezed so tiny on here, hate that. Comes in handy though when I don't want my face shown, hahaha. LORI-I'm around, just on another thread. Have things to figure out but i'm virtually drinking whenever I get the time. Vegas is probably going to be after the 25th. Trying to get the fill schedule figured out first. ORANGE-What's new? CYN-My sister got the most hypoallergenic dog she could find, and a non-shedder. The result:a Coton and so far no allergies. Hello to everyone else, have a good week, cheers!

Good morning, Loungettes! Got some serious fog this am, but it's nice to have cooler weather. I've got the ingredients to make an apple pie to take to work tomorrow, so some baking is in my plans for the day! Sadie loves baking time, I'm a messy cook so there's always stuff for her to pick up off the floor. Of course that means she's underfoot the whole time, which adds to the fun. Sometimes I swear she trips me just so I'll drop something! Gotta love the puppy, though!

Cammy--darn, I was looking for another recipe to add to my collection. Guess I'll have to look it up on the internet. It's hard to realize you threw out something good, isn't it? Makes it harder to throw things out in the future!
CynCyn--I'm proud of your gumption getting out of an abusive relationship! I know taking the first decent place that came along wasn't what you really wanted, and am so happy you're getting into something really good now. Moving is a pain, though. I am enjoying my time off, thanks. It is so nice to work someplace where I feel valued and am treated like a professional. Adjusting to a Monday trough Friday schedule is a bit tough, though. Still, I'll adapt soon enough. And the Tenders made me some fresh eggs to replace the ones that got knocked on the ground. Sadie ate them, so no clean up needed!

DorKable--check with your doc's office about the tetanus shot. I'm seriously needle phobic but that is one I keep up to date. My PCP wants to give me a booster early because the CDC is recommending adding pertussis (whooping cough) to boost that for adults, too. The childhood vaccination wears off, and many children aren't getting vaccinated for it so there has been an increase in whooping cough over the last few years. I'm pretty sure I had it as an adult a few years back after I took care of a baby who had it (she didn't get vaccinated because her mom was focused on getting out of an abusive relationship and missed a few doctor's appointments). So even if your tetanus isn't up to date you have a good excuse to get a booster, and get a twofer out of the deal.

Speaking of needle phobic and twofers, the ENT doc asked me to think about having a permanent tube put in my left ear and getting a "septal button" put in place. I have a perforated septum, and the button seals the hole, making the air flow straighter and less turbulent, which means less drippy nose time and fewer nosebleeds. The ENT suggested having both done at the same time in the OR as day surgery. I told her that I think I'm more afraid of needles/IV's than I am of nose bleeds and earaches. But I have been thinking about it. I really don't want to take the chance of problems after anesthesia, and ear surgery makes nausea and vomiting more likely. I can deal with the momentary ouch of having temporary tubes put in that ear every 6 to 12 months. A drippy, bleeding nose is not fun but not unmanageable. I've just started a new job. I don't' need to be asking for a day off already. I don't want to have an IV or anesthesia. So why am I still even thinking about this??????
Cammy--I couldn't word during rads, but after that work became my refuge from all the bc crap. I couldn't hide it after the mastectomy when I knew I would be going back to work boobless on one side and DDDD on the other and unable to wear a bra. I cringe when I think about the fact that there are lectures I gave while in that state that are video recorded. I never did look at the recordings to see what I looked like. I really enjoy the work I'm doing now and the people I'm working with, we too have a lot of fun while getting a lot of work done. Good luck learning the names. I created a cheat sheet a while back and it still didn't help! But I keep on trying!
Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Salute to Laborers Everywhere

Lara, looks like those poochies stole your pool floatie.
Cami, you do NOT have to worry about "keeping up". Just chime in, whenever with whatever. If you have been lurking, you know what a sweet bunch of girls we are. Ok everyone, pat yourself on the back! As for cooking, I have to. Closest town with food is an hour away! And you are original, just as original as any one of us. Love the bleached tiger. And goodness, you were up early!
OMG Dork, I bet you were up late again last night, after sleeping in so late yesterday. I hope you get out of that befoy habing to go back to woyk. Did you clean out that cut good, so it doesn't get infected? Saw Overboard, cute movie for Shirley. And glad to know that that is and X bf of your DD, if he is putting his fist through walls, and someone elses walls at that...WTF?
NM, hope you can get outside today, even if it is mowing. We just have a little spot of grass in the yard here. You can't really "landscape" where I live, as it would just get eaten by all of the critters!
Cyn, at least you don't have to have your stuff moved out of your current house by a certain time, since your boys are staying there. So quit stressing girl! Not goot foy you. We had a Toga Party once, long time ago. And what's that talk below Belushi, you speaking in tongue? Hmmm, I wonder what it is you are doing to lose your post. I ALWAYS do mine in Word first.
Shannon, after the 25 of Sept? Oh what cute puppy, is that actually your sisters dog?
Well, I got all my canning and freezing done, so now today I get to CLEAN! Yippee for me.........NOT! Well, it's not a Monkey Work day, at least not for most of us, so let's still have a Monkey drink.

OMG NM u'r puppy is precious--zI want one--well my cat would have a fit.
I have to laugh cuz I've been telling my dgtrs these new recipes for drinks (BTW--they all sound yummy) and one of them said u don't read recipes where are u getting them from and of course I said BCO site. They're saying I thought that was for u and cancer??? and of course I told them u know I know nothing about cancer, I rarely talk about it and why should I start learning now--it's to late-LOLThey already think I'm nuts anyway so I just ive them more to think about
I am of course on other sites and the women are great, I'm in awe of their knowledge and their thirst for more, they are wonderful and I do say what's going or ongoing now--so it's not like I'm quiet but I really enjoy it here too. And as u can see I taught myself how to reprint pictures so I'm in awe of me now. LOL
