Mema--the Nor'Easter was much worse in New York and New Jersey from what I'm hearing on the radio. My local talk station had a segment with a relief worker from here on yesterday, sounds like they are working their butts off down there.
Goldie--it's stayed just cold enough that the snow isn't melting off in places that don't get sun. So the shady places still have a dusting (a dusting in Maine is anything less than 4 inches). Supposed to get up to the 40's today, so that stuff will likely melt off today but we'll see!
ORLA--I'm still in the states because I'm too lazy to get a passport. Can't even go visit Canada anymore and be sure I'll get back in to the US! Hmmm, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing, I could sneak back in as an illegal alien and not have to pay for health care or get car insurance and get on welfare live a life of leisure! Nah, I'd probably go crazy in a month without something to get up for.
Cammy--I plan to spend LOTS of time in the Lounge this winter! We can ignore winter together.
Wahine--NO, NO, NO I was not upset with you about stating your feelings, strongly or otherwise! I'm sick of roadside signs (which are supposed to come down the day after election and are STILL up blocking the view at most intersections) and the endless TV and radio commercials. Some expressing an opinion in a setting where I can actually TALK with them about it is fine--I enjoy discussions with passionate people. I hate TV and radio commercials. Boring.

DorKable--I get what you get for weather just a day or so later, so I'm glad to hear that melty temps are coming! You do know you can reset your car clock to 5:07 if you want to, right? Or do you have one of those spaceships masquarading as a car? My mom has one of those. Took me 5 minutes to find the magic button to move the seat up so I could reach the pedals to turn it around for her!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the TGIF
3/4 oz White rum
1/4 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Mango
3/4 ox Mango Syrup
Prepare mango fruit with rum and syrup in a blender with crushed ice. Strain into a large highball glass and fill with crushed ice. Squeeze in a lime wedge and serve.

NM...yes...these 10 hour days are killah...but the 3 days off in a row is fantastic. when do you go back to BOS again? Im leaving next Friday...Im going to freez my but off..I know it..Thought about going down to Goodwill and seeing if they have anything semi stylish for a jacket. Hope the winter is easy on you ..I remember some pretty bad storms in the day and feet of snow...ughh...ick..uhuh.

NM my sister and I were saying all that about leaving the country and bein an alien the other night than we could make money hahahaha I got a letter from the office of the ov of ILL. stating they give no free grants to citizens of this state--well of course I pounced on the word citizens like cray and now that we are not allowed free speech if they think it's gone to far I wrote ack nicely but sarcastically of course about the operative word citizens--and Secret Service can make the call if I'm saying to much hahahahaha--nuff of that chit.

Kathy, I did not complain about the election as I don’t know how I feel. I actually did not even vote. I had mixed feelings about both candidates. Issues regarding us as small business owners and taxes and then healthcare. Healthcare is just killing us, costing us $40K in 2013, which means I have to sell at least $70K worth of product to pay for that! So I just don’t say anything. But I’m willing to head out of the country wif all my breasties!!! When I said “you heard about everyone complain…..” I didn’t mean “YOU” literally, and I meant to say “hear”.
We hear everyone complain about Obama, yet he gets voted in again. That is more of what I meant to say. Sorry if it sounded like I directed it at you, was not meant that way at all. It was pretty much a 50/50 vote, very close! LOL @ stay sauced…………..I CAN DO THAT!

Dang, your health ins is thru the roof Lori...I keep forgetting how much you have to pay. Geez! My dad was fussing cuz he had free supplement to his medicare in HI till they moved (paid by the bank he retired from), and now for the BlueC supplement it is $400 for both...he would crap totally at YOUR bills! He called the bank though, and they still might cover it,here. My DH is thinking of dropping his medicare (I KNOW...none of you are on it, me too...lol) as they are going way up on him this yr...we pay $400 for both for BlueC, and I think his medicare was going waaay up, cuz he made too much last year I think...prolly already lost it all this year though!

Well the more things change the more they stay the same you goils are as chatty as ever lol. LOVE IT. Will have to go back a few or 100 pages back to see whats been going on with you all. I take it Wahine your parents now live with you full time??? Or are they just visiting again? Dork you are getting divorced, NM last I was here you had a new job did that work out for you? I will figure out the rest soon I promise. Its rememberence day weekend here in Canada so I am just getting ready to go to Tenille's school for her service, she is really liking her new school although she of course misses her old friends and teachers. Derek is doing great, he is happy we moved and has settled in very well,joined a couple of groups at his high school and is involved in the youth group at the church we started attending here. So that reallly makes me happy to see them thriving in our new City. We are now in Edmonton so unfortunetly its still cold and snowy jeez I should have moved somewhere warm but couldnt find anywhere in Canada that is lol. We just got 40cm of snow here and its still snowing sigh.

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes! I didn't realize he had special-ordered the cake (I didn't see the personalization, his pet name for me...those gals I met in person know it, but I won't divulge it here...LOL!).
Oh Kymn, I am SO glad your kids are thriving there, I love your DD's name, don't hear that too often. I have not been to Edmonton, will have to look up which part of Canada you are in, now. Oh yeah, you got that right, we all can chat on and on and on. And guess what...it is even worse when we meet in person...we just don't stop! But its such fun! Yes, I moved my parents here at the end of July. Had to go to HI for 3 wks to help pack up the house, get the movers, etc. Was very stressful on us all. One night (big party for my parents at their house), my mom DID NOT KNOW ME...it killed me. She was ok by the end of the party, but of course I was crying all night. SO now they are in their home on the lake here, in our subdivision, a mile from us. BUT we are in diff cities....so weird. So on voting day, we had to take them in opposite direction from where we voted. My mom's memory has declined so much, but she is happy and always looks so good, takes care of herself really well, always well dressed too (unlike me). My dad did not want to move (their home sold the 1st day at asking price), then he got shingles a few wks ago, prolly from stress. But he is getting more used to it, and seems happy some days. They are going to China with us in a few days....very long flts, wish us luck that they will do ok! thanks for asking about them.
