Illinois ladies facing bc

Budder - Yes...I can unwrap it to bathe, but re-wrapping is a true technique. It isn't just a band-aid...it's wrapped in a very strict manner to promote the lymph fluid to travel from the hand/wrist to the upper arm and ultimately to the torso. Once you learn it, it's like riding a bike. I can bend my arm...not 100%, but even being able to bend it slightly is a huge help. I am doing EVERYTHING I can to prevent this from becoming a chronic, lifelong problem. As for the 90 minute sessions, honestly, I walk out feeling quite empowered. I feel relieved knowing that I am doing all I can and it's a great feeling. YES...the PT sessions hurts like he**, but sometimes the saying "no pain, no gain" really is true. I will call you tomorrow. And yes, Budder you are a SWELL friend too! I LOVE IT!...too funny! You are quite clever my friend! Quite the WORD-OLOGIST! lol
Carolyn - What a difference a day makes...HOW TRUE for us bc gals. Continue to have good days and congrats on your favorable review! Try to think of it this way...for every good day, there may be a bad day. Or for every bad day, there may be 5 good days! My Mom too, was a great sense of inspiration to me at bc dx time. That's what Moms are for. Hang in there, Carolyn.
Jackie - As always...thanks for the quote...and as usual, you choose some good ones!

LauraGTO Hi there...I went through the wrapping and therapy for lymphadema and it did little to relieve it really. I bought a compression sleeve and also my insurance paid quite a bit towards a machine that I use daily to relieve the swelling. It massages my arm.
toodles,
Karen

Carolyn, it all sounds like what we have experinced with the anxity of a serious illness. I can especially relate to poor attention and not being able to focus. Problem-solving was so hard, still is on osme days.
I am ready to go home. It has been a wonderful vacation but now I want to see my own bed and my own cat and I really want to stop eating so many wonderful foods. Annapolis was wonderful. I also want my own computer. I get on for a minute and people stare at me to get off so they can use it. Someone is staring at me now....so goodnight!

Morning....just wanted to stop by for a minute...
Laura....I am so sorry that you are going thru this but glad too that you found a highly trained therapist to help you. This is so important. And the therapist must be trained in LE. This (meaning LE) will affect the rest of your life and you are young and dealing with this, head-on, is the only way to go. I have seen patients that did nothing and now are paying a very dear price....very dear. So...YOU GO GIRL!!!!! And do as you are told!
Looks like I had an incomplete vitreous detachment in my R eye back in January and the rest of it tore off yesterday morning. Got so much worse while driving over to the hospital that the doc got to see it. He said it was very bad, lots of blood and debris but the retina so far looks OK. BUT.....no driving except when necessary, no exercise, not a lot of reading/computer work....yada,yada, yada...until he sees me on Friday. He did say tho....that this almost never happens and he said....wait for it....it only happened once in his practice the last few years and....wait for it....she was on arimidex. He is still not convinced tho. BUT....once the vitreous totally detaches, that's it and its over. Now...I just have to live with all the junk in my eye. Hope it clears up somewhat or I will not be driving at all this week...keep seeing stuff!
Rita...how's your knee?
Budders....are you ok?
Susan....home?
Mich101...did you ever start your RX?
Connie....are you going to start on another Rx?
Hope everyone enjoys the weather the next few days....this sure is nice!
Love from...One Eye Wendy (or if you prefer, One Thumb Wendy)
PS: Shall we call Laura....ole' One Arm??? Sounds like we could start a gang...One Eye Wendy, One Arm Laura, One Knee Rita...etc, etc, etc.

Carolyn Yeah for you getting a good review at work. You gotta feel really good about that.
Zap Glad you are having a great time on the trip.
Wendy Oh my gosh that sounds so bad. I have never heard of it before. Driving is so important. I cant imagine having that taken away for good.
Crystall Thanks so much I have heard about those macines I hear they are very expensive and its hard to get your insurance company to pay for it. But its somthing I should definitely look into.
Illinois lady I love the quote
Donna Your so righht. I am doing terrific really. I did lie about the lady. I really didnt like her. she was not very friendly and I felt like she didnt take me serious. Oh well...
Laura I cant wait to talk to you today.
I get my answer from the PS today, as far as him being able to fix my right?? I will keep you posted.
So who knows what the heck reicke is???
My sister says you lay on a table and someone holds their hands above your body never ever touching you and its suppose to have energy or somthing....Needs some help with this one.

Good morning gals! Aren't we a bunch of "bummed up ladies?" Wow! Laura, they have you packed up completely, and Wendy, you do just what the doctor orders as our eyesight is too precious to mess around with. Hugs to both of you.
As for my knee, I've been taking Aleve and putting ice on it. Then I put on this horse liniment that Dave keeps for his arthritis problems. Believe it or not, it felt better last night and I'd worked about the house all day and even mowed. My right foot is what's really bothering me this morning. It hurts right at the point where the ball of the foot and the three biggest toes come together. I think I'll try the same treatment plan with the foot today. I am NOT giving in to this. I am going to try to play a few holes of golf today and see how I manage. Oh Laura, Wendy told me about the magnesium a couple of years ago when I was first having problems with my feet and I've been taking it ever since. I hate to take any more than I'm taking right now as it's a main ingredient in many laxatives and I don't need to spend my days in the bathroom! LOL
Well, I need to get moving again. This is a busy week around here. I'll check back in later.
Be safe coming home, Susan and enjoy your remaining time. It is always good to vacation and ALWAYS good to get back home.
Rita

Good Morning!
Karen - Sorry your therapy didn't work for you. Lots of girls respond well - provided they are treated by well educated LE specialists. I have no choice but to remain optimistic and hopeful that my treatment is effective. So far...so good. Best wishes to you.
Susan - Have a safe trip home. Glad you had such a nice time, but you're right...there's no place like home! Were there lots of flowering trees in DC?
Rita - Hope your foot cuts you some slack today.
One Eye Wendrew - TOO FUNNY! One Arm Laura, One Knee Rita - do we have a One Boob _____________ out there? LOL Yikes...I hope you get some relief from all those ants, black birds, etc. That must be awful! Take it easy.

Every year, my cousin Kristen and her "team" do the 3 day Komen walk. And each year they have a fund raiser to help pay for their entrance fee. This year it's at a bar/rest. in Crystal Lake. It's this Sunday afternoon. They have silent auctions, raffles, etc. If any of you would like to go, please PM me. Last years was fun. It's $10 to get in, that includes food, appetizers, etc. She and her team walk in memory of their dear friend who died from bc at the age of 34. AND they include my name of their t-shirts.

Good morning everyone.
Gosh where to start. I was nearly down in the dumps when I read that you were bleeding in the eye again Wendy. For one thing,,,,,it just did not seem fair for you to have to have this happen. In retrospect, your description sounds like it is more of a continuation process which hopefully will be over now. I do feel some concern on whether this will keep happening. Sure hope that it does not.
Your Dr. may not be truly convinced that Arimidex is the culprit, but I am. Basically, I worry about all medications -- all have side effects --- even herbal, and all the OTC drugs. Also, bear in mind everyone.....that dare I say this....age does make a difference in reactions to all of this. Two or three things come to mind as a general rule --- scarcity -- be careful what you take, and how much and for how long. Check everything with your Dr. --- herbal and OTC included big time.
Wendy...got my fingers crossed that possibly now that this tear has completed itself, you will not have to have this again. Just thought it was good news to the degree that it was not a brand new tear.
Laura, I hope your arm gets better and better. I read somewhere about a woman flying on planes ( maybe her job required frequent trips -- don't recall ) but it was a little while after she reached the figure of a hundred flights that she got LE. So, I'm thinking.....one could get complacent about all this and obviously that would be a mistake. I do think the more lymph nodes -- the higher the chance and probably surgery site as well.
Buddy...wondering if you are talking about the therapist you saw. If so, I am sorry it wasn't such a good match. I had high hopes as I'm sure you did. You go because you need answers and help. I think learning to REALLY hear what people are saying can be quite as art. In fact, so much so that IF you are truly heard and know it, half the problem usually dissipates right then and there.
Reiki is a Japanese/Buddist type healing therapy. I have had some similar therapy. What is done is the Chakra's are used. This is the major body thoroughfares so to speak --- starting at the crown of the head....going all the way through the body to the lowest pelvic area. It is done with holding the hands over the body and moving them. The one theory I felt I understood clearly about it is that when your energy flows get off kilter, using soothing reiki therapy .....starting at the crown and working down tends to get everything un-stuck and flowing again. Ok--Ok, I know some might scoff just as I did -- until I did it, but part way through I realized that my whole body started to feel lighter -- dare I say it this way -- less gummy and I could actually feel soothing energy rather than the harsher feel it had just a few minutes previous.
There is no place like home as Susan says. Have a safe trip back home.
You guys are too funny about the ( ONE stuff ). Makes me think of that old song....It was a one-eyed - one toed, flying purple people eater.
Hope you all have a good one.
Hugs, Jackie

Hey ladies
Lisa and I had lunch last Friday--that was so nice of her to extend the invite. I have a surgery date for the mx--in about 4 weeks. It will be pretty basic, no nodes, no reconstruction. I have not gotten squat done at work for weeks but now I have a good distraction of getting caught up....
Hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weather!

I feel like I am doing triage here! Hard to know where to begin with us. I hope ALL are feeling better!
Wendy, because I have the retina problem, I will begin with you. I would not be surprised if the arimidex is the culprit as it dries stuff up (as all who are arimidex know). Your story is very scary. I am wondering if there is anything the rest of us can do to avoid this (liquid tears?)
Buddy, I had a terrible psychiatrist who told me to think about the MRI machine like it was torpedo and not an MRI....now how was that going to help me with claustrophobia? I took his meds and went on my way. Finding a match is like getting a second opinion with the doctors who treat breast cancer. As a matter of fact your doctors know you best and can perhaps make a referral. Keep at it! I know it is discouraging!
Rita, after touring all the Battle's in DC I have come up with a few quotes when it comes to fighting that pain.
"Don't give up the ship."
"Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead."
If it encourages you at all, I found that the pain disappears just like that with the icing and meds. I think the problem is that we heal slower! What about PT for the knee? I know you are discouraged because if you do not have a good knee, you are missing a lot of fun in life.
We go home tonight! Being here with Paul has been so nice. For 15 years I traveled with 8th graders to all these places and I never really saw them!
Bless all I have not addressed. I hope this finds you at peace.
Susan

Well, I am back to treatment tomorrow.. been nice to have the break.. In the meantime I've scheduled an appt at the Block Center as they have an inter-grative approach and seem to get pretty good results.. He wrote a really good book which I've ordered as well.. what a better way to spend my 40th next Thur than at a 4 hr appt there..
So..I knew I shouldn't have said anything.. as Gabriella is back to waking EVERY hr.. and my DH is at his wits end surviving on 2 hrs of sleep.. UGH..
Back to work I go.. very crazy week with a huge deadline.. so not stressing is NOT working...
Hope everyone starts feeling well soon..

Oh my goodness there is alot going on here with all of us. No biggy on teh therapist. I just got back from the PS. He said he cant fix me. Its out of his league I need to go to Loyola to Vandevender. Anybody know of him. I am going to my PCP today to talk it over see where he wants me to go. I dont think this is a task for a local boy out here in the rural are I live in. We will see what he says. I sure hope my Ins works there. Love to you all. If wendy is the one eyed purple eater than I am the one boobed buddy

Hi Everyone,
Wendy - I'm so sorry to hear about your eye problems. It sounds like something my mom had a few years ago.
Laura - I think I might be the One Boob!
EnglishMajor - Congratulations on getting a surgery date! I know that that can give you some peace of mind. The time will fly by before you know it.
Buddy - Hope you are doing well. Sounds as though you need a hug {{{{Buddy}}}}
Well, now I've decided that I don't have enough to do this week and weekend, I need a new washer and dryer - it's cash for clunker appliances, and I received an email at work about rebates and discounts on top of my employee discount and sales and well, who am I to pass up discounts and sales????? Seriously, researching the brands, etc will keep me focused on something other than the upcoming surgery.
Have a great evening!
One Boob - I mean Carolyn

English - It's so nice you and Lisa had lunch...Lisa is such a great gal! Best wishes with your surgery.
Budder - It was SO NICE talking to you today! We are NO DOUBT twins when it comes to LE! You can cry on my shoulder anytime...provided I can cry on yours too! lol Please let me know how your appt went. I have more ammo if you need it. Remember - fight makes right! And IL girls are tough! lol Especially those who live on 6 acres. lol I just know you can "lick" this latest hurdle.
Wendrew - Hope you're doing okay...must be so frustrating "seeing" all those floaters. Hugs to you.
Marina - Good luck with tomorrow's treatment - hope it's routine. The Block Institute has a great reputation. As for Gab...yikes...I don't know how you mom and dads do it! My friend uses a little lavendar essential oil mixed with olive oil as a pre-bedtime baby rub. She swears it helps her baby sleep through the night. It's all natural...just fyi.
Susan - Can you add me to the triage? lol I'll be last in line! lol
Carolyn - You "sound" better...and yes...you can be One Boob Carolyn! lol RT = Retail Therapy really does work wonders. Just my opinion...I HATE my front loading washer and dryer. I wish I could toss them and buy the tradition ones. The dryer does not dry as fast as my old fashioned one and you have to make sure the lint screen is immaculate after each load and the washer stinks! You have to remove the clothes right away after the cycle is done or they smell like rotten water! And...I just don't think my clothes are as clean and fresh as with my old one. Again...JMO. You might want to check out Amazons consumer ratings before you make your decision.
------------------------------------------------------------
My daily routine of PT went well. Although right now, my thumb is quite swollen and sore. But...I realize this is expected and a part of the treatment process. I just need to be a patient, patient. It does help knowing I'm in good hands with my PT gal!
Elf - How are you doing? Think about you often!
Irene - How are you doing?

Wendy-No I did not fill my script yet. I'm still trying to figure out my ear/vertigo issue. Saw the pcp today who says I should go to an ENT dr.-suggested possibly meniere's disease-which is a disorder of the inner ear. I don't want to start a new med. until I get this answered. I have increased my calcium and D though.
Connie-Did your sister have any comments on Fosomax?
Did I miss JanClare's B-day? Happy Belated Birthday Jan!
Happy Birthday Joanna too! Can you tell I'm looking at the birthday list:)

I asked him to look at them and explain. Because the other doc said everything was fine Ii had artheritis thats all. My doc kinda scared me hewas concerned they never foowedthrough. It says hypertrophic osteoarthropathy in both tibias. the die appered in them. So my doc is sending me fr xray of the tibias and fibias and a chest xray, Are any of you familiar with this.

Wow, I couldn't believe that so many things happened while I'm gone..took me long time to read all the posts too, finally at the last page...
Buddy- I hope you are doing well and hope you will find a good person to talk to.. Sometimes I think that maybe I should see someone too..
Laura- OMG, no more lifting from now on, I am glad you are doing PT and hope it gets better everyday..
Wendy- How are you today?? it must be very uncomfortable to see things with one eye.. I hope you are feeling better.. I got tears reading your post about how bc changed our lives... well, life goes on right??
Rita- I hope your knee gets better too..
Susan- are you home yet?? I love to go to DC since I never been there...
Carolyn- I hope you don't get too much stress from the working hang in there~!!
Marilyn- Congrats~! Chemo is done~!!!! That feels great right??
Well, we moved to Naperville, last Monday and it's been crazy~~ almost done with unpacking and organizing.. It takes forever with two little kids and both of them got a cold from the school and now whole family is coughing and sniffing and runynose... omg...
I went in for 3month check up with Onco yesterday and everything was good except she thinks I have LE, darn it... My left arm was on and off swollen since mx and expander but it got worse since last summer.. She told me I need PT to prevent getting worse, great.... what's next??
Can I join with Wendy, Laura, Buddy, Carolyn in the ONE thing group?? that was too funny..
Hello to rest of the ladies and have a good night...

Morning all....One eye here....warm today and tomorrow but I see a 55 for a high for Saturday, which is about normal...oh well!
Elf...I am so sorry that you as well have developed LE. And yes, you need to address this sooner, rather than later. And, I am sure with moving...you overused that arm! And yes...you can join our "One" gang! Please be careful of the arm!
Laura....I am glad that while you are not happy about your arm, you are fighting this as best you can.
Buddy...glad you and Laura got a chance to speak. It is so helpful to speak to someone who has gone before, isn't it? Sorry but I can't help with the other stuff...perhaps someone can chime in????
Carolyn....good to keep busy! I've always wanted the front loaders but I know Laura has talked about the stinkiness of the washers and I have heard this from others too...but then, others LOVE them! So...since you already got your good review, spend some time at work looking thru the reviews of amazon.com. Best Buy does reviews as well. (Hope your boss isn't on this forum
)Marina....fingers crossed for an uneventful chemo today. Hopefully Gab will get back to her routine. And count me in re: the lavender at night for babies and sleep. Heck...it works for us all. I even think I remember seeing a baby wash that had that in it. Completely safe....back some years ago DH and I were both having much trouble sleeping and staying asleep so I bought some sheet spray from Bed, Bath and Beyond that had lavender in it and also some lavender oil from Michael's which I put on the bedroom light bulbs in the lamps on the night stands...only do this of course on cool bulbs. When you turn on the lights it warms the oil and sends the scent into the air. It really did work. So...maybe an idea for you!
Rita...ok, you will now be known at "One Foot Rita"! All kidding aside, I hope it resolves soon.
Jackie....OK....if all of you are totally bored with my eye...STOP READING NOW!!!! You are right....it is a continuation of the process that started in Januray with my R eye. Looks like the vitreous did not completely detach. I guess there is no way to tell for sure. Once it detaches, that is it and the symptoms should subside and the blood/floaters should reabsorb. SHOULD. I still have a huge amount of blood floating around which is pretty much screwing up my vision but the "sandy field" seems to have greatly diminished so I am hopeful. As for driving...if I close my R eye or tape/patch it, driving is just fine. Doc just wanted me to rest the eye as much as possible in case it was still in the process of detaching cuz you don't want it tugging on the retina which could cause a retinal tear which you so do not want. OK..done with my eye.
Let's see....One Boob Carolyn, One Foot Rita, One Arm Laura, One Eye Wendy....Elf, who do you want to be? Maybe if someone gets a stuffy nose we could add.....wait for it....
No Nose _____________________-(fill in the blank).
Oh c'mon...that was funny...
Have a wonderful day everyone....HI GINNY!!!!!!!!!

Every now and again take a good look at something not made with hands --a mountain, a star, the turn of a stream. There will come to you wisdom and patience and solace and, above all, the assurance that you are not alone in the world.

Good morning everyone,
I am not tired of any of the "ones". All is interesting. I don't wish to come off in the wrong way, but I am thankful that I don't and have not had to deal with these things. It sounds in many ways very difficult. At the same time....we all do the same thing -- deal with what comes up every time we turn the page. My heart goes out to each of you and I hope everyone gets a great resolution to what is going on.
Elf, I have a friend in the Naperville area. Linda and I started emailing when I found out I had cancer -- she was a few months ahead of me with hers. I needed to be here because I needed the assurance ( strange need actually ) of knowing how many people there really were in my situation --- yet at the same time, conversing with just one other person -- full letter/email style was of great benefit and solace as well. Whatever gets us through. Linda and I still write each other. Having said that -- oops, I think it's my turn.
Hmmm, lavender. Marina, you just may have started/re-started a trend. I am a ""scents"" kind of a person. Love candles, diffusers, and everything about good smells. If I try hard I can even 'almost', smell the odors wafting from our kitchen when my mom was cooking, I have to work a bit for that as it was such a long time ago now. Wasn't just a couple or three generations back when nearly everyone kept little square cloth packets of lavender sachet in their dresser drawers or is my imagination just going out of sight.
Well, hope you are all going to have a really wonderful day. Sun and warm air. What a great recipe. Hi Ginny!!!!!!!!
Hugs, Jackie

Hi Girls! Back from PT. They beat the he** out of me, but it hurts so good! lol Every other appt they measure 6 increments from my hand up to my shoulder...GOOD NEWS the swelling is down! So...all of our efforts are working. We have to keep at it, but it's quite uplifting to say the least. The cording issue/pain is still a problem, but heck...I can't have everything, right! I've got the ball rolling with Ins to get approval for a custom fitted sleeve, gauntlet and sleeping sleeve. Hopefully I'll get the approval soon. Once I get the approval if my arm measurements are still down, I can kiss this compression wrap GOOD FRICKIN BYE! LOL
Budder - Sorry, I don't know anything about the Tibia, etc. Hopefully others will chime in. Let's talk soon.
Mich101 - I was just thinking the other day about whether or not the dizziness is still bothering you. I'm sorry to read that it is. Let us know what the ENT says. Hope it's something that will resolve soon. Hugs to you!
Elf - Too funny about being one of the ONES...since your nose is stuffy how about...One Nostril Elf? lol Glad you're all moved in! When are we all invited over (just kidding)? The Naperville River walk is a great way/place to exercise. I have done it with my friend who lives there - and your kids would love it. It's beautiful! There's also a really nice public pool by the river (if you don't already know of it). Hope the whole family is better soon. And...as for the LE...I have earned an "honorary degree" as a Certified LE Expert. lol If you have any questions, PM me. I have lots of info available. So actually you fit into two of our ONE categories...see below.
One Eye Wendrew - You are too funny! Thanks for always keeping me laughing. You're such a good sport with your eye probs. I hope it heals quickly. Hang in there. Since Elf posted about being congested...how about One Nostril Elf? lol Laughter really is the best medicine!
------------------------------
Let's see...so far we have:
One Eye Wendrew
One Knee Rita
One Arm Laura, One Arm Budder, One Arm Elf
One Boob Carolyn
One Nostril Elf
One Ear Michele
Any other ONES out there?

Hi Ginny! Hope you're doing well!

Back home. So happy to be here with my cat and not traipsing around looking at more monuments. Annapolis was fantastic! OMG, I loved Annapolis! It was actually a wonderful trip.
Laura, you are always on my list of people I think about. I am glad the hard work at the arm is paying off When do you begin your new job? Will the arm be okay with the type of work you are doing?
Elf, I hope you love your new home. DC would be a great trip but wait until the boys are older. DC is like Disney for the history-lover!
WE are staying put for awhile as I have some long range jobs coming up (I half regret accepting them what with the weather so great). My childhood friend invited us to LA and we will be visiting with her but not until summer.
Have a glorious day...it truly is wonderful here near Chicago.

Thanks all for the Lavender recommendation. I bought the baby bath gel and lotion that has it in it just for that.. tried it a while ago and it didn't work, but will try again. Last night my DH fed her at midnight and she slept 'til 5:30 so that was good..though she is 4.5 months already!! Time to sleep!! At tx now.. blood work was fine.. Dr exam was just OK.. he says it's smaller than we started but of course hard to tell if we make more progress in last 2 weeks.. CT Scan in 2 weeks.. I asked for a brain scan.. apparently herceptin doesn't get to the brain and I never had one.. he said they don't do them unless there are symptoms.. well to me once there ARE symptoms it's a bit late.. if you catch them early you can cyber knife them pretty easily.. so will know exactly how well I'm doing in 14 days.. patients.. that word seems to float around here a lot.. NOT my virtue for sure.. Oh well.. the sun is shining and I'm half way through tx..
Hope everyone is enjoying their day..

Yea...........Susan's home! I bet your cat was thrilled to see you!
I hosted Bunco today. It was our last one for the season and it was a lovely day! It would have been better if I'd won but the dice were cold for me this afternoon! Everyone had a great time and we'll start back up in September. Many of us are golfers so we fill up the summer afternoons with golf.
I wish you could see my wooded area. The bluebells are blooming and the entire floor of the woods is covered with them. They are just gorgeous!
Hi Ginny! I hope you're having a good week! I think about you everyday! Hugs across the miles!
Wendy....sending healing thoughts your way for your eye! This really limits your reading, doesn't it?
Well, Dave is home and I'm sure he's hungry as usual. I need to get moving and get something on the table. I hope everyone enjoyed this wonderful weather!

HI girls - so sorry we are having so much trouble with LE and eyes, etc. This sucks!
I started back on the Actonel last week using the Dr. suggestion of pairing it with Prilosec and Gaviscon. So far so good - have not had any of the side effects that I experienced last time. If I make it through another week, I will feel better about it.
Mich - I did talk with my sister about Fosomax. She has been on it for 4-5 years! She is much older than me and said she had a bone scan shortly after menopause. It showed osteopenia (which is what I have). She has not had a repeat scan as she was not on a good insurance for awhile. She has better coverage now so she said she may go get another one. She did say that she doesn't have any issues with the Fosomax.
Elf - I live in Aurora! I lived in Naperville from 5th grade until I was 30 years old! Where about did you move? I live off of Eola road.
2 weeks until Vegas for me!!
Hugs to everyone!

Morning! Another glorious day on tap for us!
Rita....Please, please, please...take a pic of those bluebells! I don't believe I've ever seen them, or I did see them, but didn't know what they were. And then...save the pic and post it in February! Sounds beautiful...
Marina....sorry that the lavender didn't work for Gab but trying it again is a great idea. I just love the scent. I have the Williams-Sonoma hand soap/lotion combo in my powder room...smells so good!
Susan....welcome home! Yeah....schedule your teaching jobs November thru mid-March! Just too nice out to sit in a classroom, especially when you are retired!
Laura....I really admire the way you are attacking your LE. I hope that I would be like you should I be faced with this, but I doubt it.
Jackie....you too!!!! Take some pictures of your beautiful property....I still have the old ones and I do occasionally look at those. Did you put your table/chairs out yet? Hey...how's your BP? Did you have to start on something? And I would love to see your lake.....
BJ....almost Friday!!! How's your Mom? Save any baby chicks lately????? That was so funny....hey, your nickname could be One Chick Nurse...LOL
Connie....I had to laugh...your sister, does she read this forum? You called her your "much older sister"!!!! Actually, I could say that as well...mine is 9 years older! Great that so far, you are doing well on the med.
Mich101....so, are you going to try it? I too would be VERY hesitant. Women have done pretty much OK for years without these meds, but then you don't have a weight-bearing routine so in your case...maybe a good idea????
Found out that there are a whole lot of things besides driving and reading that are difficult....like vacuuming (I keep trying to vacuum up the floaters!), putting eye makeup on the good eye (you close the good one, and then....can't see anything) or....trying to slap some polish on the toenails...I kept missing the nail and was painting the actual toes. Oh well.....I think it might be slooooooowly getting a tiny bit better so I am hopeful. It will be a long process tho....
Have a wonderful Thursday, y'all!

Beauty of a day here today --- really will be almost too warm -- about 87 or so. Just a little dose of the good life before some rain more than likely tomorrow some time. Well, it has been so very nice the last few days I can't gripe too much.
Guess I will have to work on some fresh pictures. Most of mine are still in my old computer as they were not transferred over to the new one. BIL said he knew how and I got the equipment for him and he just put all on a disc as I found when I got home later. Aaarrrggg!!!!! Also would not hurt at all to get some newer pics of the lake. Those too are old ones now. My table is on the deck but not really set up. Was hoping ( I'll have to go buy it, I think ) Dh would re-stain the deck...it has suffered the last three years while no one got to it.
Hmmm, blood pressure --it seems a bit more stable. No meds recommended right now. I may have hit a slight life stress period or something.....but most of the time now it seems to stay below 90....so that is good.
Well, my boss is back so I'd best make myself available.
See you all later.
Hugs, Jackie
