Good morning, MissouriCat! Love Chuck Berry! When DH & I want to be silly we put on You Never Can Tell and do the John Travolta/Uma Thurman twist from Pulp Fiction. We even entertained my sister w it once. She thought we were fools but got a good laugh! Haha!

MissouriCat, the Doobies were my sisters favorite band back in the 70’s. Our mom threatened to hide the albums if she didn’t start playing others. Haha

My mom was also a music lover and I have such fond memories of coming down for breakfast and she was listening to rock & roll on the radio. She loved the Beatles. I also learned my love of music from the 30’s & 40’s from her. Ella Fitzgerald was the queen and Count Basie was King. Imagine her delight when she got in my 16 yo nieces car and heard Ella coming from the stereo.
Heart of Gold - Neil Young. (Whine for me Neil!).

Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler
Yogatyme, I love your description of coming down to music playing. I remember my Mom playing the radio when I was about 4 or 5. I loved the song "Hey There, Georgie Girl". Every time it would come on I would come running!! Takes me back to that time. Usually though my Mom would have the Cincinnati Reds game on the radio. She was a HUGE fan and if the Reds were playing it would most definitely be on the radio. A Cincinnati station had a jingle that played "The Reds are on the radio". That was the theme song for my childhood. Lol But I LOVE it. It reminds me SO much of her. I can't here "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" without crying like a baby. As a matter of fact, we sang it at her funeral.
