How Deep is your Love - Bee Gees

That's a beautiful thing, Oceanbum, playing that song. It's funny how songs can bring back certain memories. Back in the day when there were record players. My dad has all their records, he is remarried now, and his wife does not like me to bring up her name, but I've always wanted to go in that room, and go through those records, so many memories there. And I love Neil Young too! And the Bee Gees. Mother listened to an album from the movie, Nashville, particularly I'm Easy, from 1975. Thank you for bringing that memory back for me today.

Songs definitely bring back memories. My first boyfriend sang "How Deep is Your Love" and "Just The Way You Are" to me back in the day. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw your post, Missouricat. I loved the Bee Gees when I was in my teens. My husband said he knew he was in love when he was standing in K-Mart with a teddy bear and a Bee Gees album. He looked down and thought "What am I doing? I must be in love." And here we are 40 years later. Lol

Yes, yogatyme I know Mom approved of singing that song at her funeral. Afterwards at the cemetery I mentioned that I was going to wear a Cincinnati Reds hat. When we got to the cemetery it was a sea of Cincinnati Reds gear - hats, tshirts, jackets. The pall bearers, my brothers and nephews, were all wearing Reds hats and jackets. I KNOW she loved it. I placed a vintage Cincinnati Reds Big Red Machine pennant in the casket with her. I had bought it for her that year for Mother's Day. Her love of the Red's was evident that day for sure.

I love Brooks and Dunn too! Funny, I posted a photograph of the sunrise this morning with words from What a Wonderful World, how ironic can you get? That would be a great song at a wedding!

My mammogram came back no recurrence, they had me wait and gave me the results, and I went and bought an ice cream!! Hope you have a wonderful day!
