Hi Twink! I like the SP one too. But, too funny; I was willing to volunteer my DH too (he's retired, time to put him to work! haha!) However it shakes out I think it'll be fun.

BTW... I just read your blog. That story is priceless! I dont know that I'd have shared!

Honestly, it's not that interesting... I started it for family and friends across the country so it gets a little personal.

    Good morning, all.
Leaving for the trip to Boston. Liver RFA this a.m.
Feel my hands reaching out and touching you all. I am strangely scared, though I shouldn't be. After all I have been through, this should be a cake walk. I hope so!
Will get on tonight if I can and tell you how it went!

    Much love.

Thought I'd pick up on Carynn's suggestion and start a list of willing participants...I think this could be a lot of fun! Once we get a full list, we can send the addresses to a designated address keeper (Carynn's DH?) Just copy and paste the list into a new posting....

Hi Sammie Kay how are you?

Twink, keeping my fingers crossed the nausau stays at bay and you can enjoy some Mexican food (and a margarita LOL)

Carynn, GREAT idea on the Secret Pal it is so much fun. And Well I have 2 dogs too but that is what DH is for: keep the dog hair swept up! Actually only one of them sheds but darn it it is the white one!

Saw the new breast surgeon and will be having the uniboob removed along with the port on Oct 1 in Orlando!!!! YIPPEE I am so relieved I can't tell you and he even marked the orders "yes" for matter of life or limb? question. Hosp is going to work with me on the financial part.

    Talk to you soon, Marsha

Quick call to Leah to make sure everything went OK today. She said they got everything they needed to get, she's in some pain, OK quite a bit but is dosed up for. She's tired and said she will check in with us tomorrow, NOT getting out of bed! LOL Marsha

Marsha, thank you for the update about Leah... and for your good news about finding a cooperative surgeon who will help you not only to get rid of a potentially dangerous boob, but also help you with getting financial help for the procedure... How is your summer going? Any new house sales?

I've been moving dirt every morning for 3 days now, using dirt from the front yard to repair the lawn in the backyard and plant grass seeds... and I am sore... but at least I understand why I get so sweaty... We're having a planter built (with big timber) in the front (4feet by 5 inside dimensions) and they filled it with good stuff and I have a decent pile of compost left over to work into flower beds... makes me feel good (give me compost and plenty of cut, stacked burning wood, and my anxieties for the future go away... no fireplace here, unfortunately)... I have another day to finish spreading the dirt, which keeps me away from the computer... but does not prevent me from thinking of you all...
Have all a gentle evening, or a lovely Spring morning... (got a Spring bulb catalog in the mail: I could buy everything...)
    Hugs,

Jan, you look great... my hair is still so short... I do not think i'll go through the trouble of coloring, but I am anxiously checking whether curls will form soon... Enjoy the comfort and freedom of your short hairstyle... That's the thing I really like about it so comfortable and easy to wash...
Hope the weather is not too hard on you... I saw the pictures you posted of your DH xrays... boy! what an ordeal he went through... hope you are both having a good country summer...
    Hugs,
    Catherine

Marsha -- That is wonderful news about the surgeon! I'm so glad that you won't have to worry anymore ... I've put October 1 on my calendar, but you'll remind us to hold your hands ... Also, thanks also for letting us know about Leah.

Sammiekay -- Glad Dean is going to miss you in Texas!

Catherine -- Is the planter for growing fruits and veggies? I'm such a terrible gardner, but I love homegrown veggies. Luckily, there is a little store near me that sells their garden produce.

Jan -- Love the new avatar! Doesn't it feel good to have "misplaced" that gray!

Well, I survived my first two days at work. A lot of folks didn't recognize me. I think that's partly because they weren't expecting to see me and also because I look really, really different, with short brown hair and these crazy funky purple glasses that I got only a few weeks before I was diagnosed and disappeared, and a lot of makeup (well, a lot for me anyways, and I rarely wore anyway). I'm working from home for the next three days, so I get a bit of respite.

    Hugs to all,
    Hillary

Leah....so good to see you and to hear your procedure went well.Hope you are feeling better today.
Hillary...glad your first few days at work were okay. I am still dragging my but in fulltime. The manager is off for 2 weeks vacation so I need to cover for her. That means extra hours. My motto is...what gets done gets done and what doesn't doesn't. Last nite I slept from 8:00 to 7:00 this morning.

Well....got to run to rads...talk to all soon.

Leah; I am happy to hear that the procedure went well. How long do you expect the recoup time to be?

Marsha; You sound excited! If your surgery were 1 week earlier, I would visit you in the hospital...Margaritas in tow!

Darn it...meant to post a bunch today, but lunch is here at the office. Gotta run!

Hi Everybody! Just a quick check in to see how everyone's doing.

Leah, hope you are feeling well. Thinking of you lots!

I haven't been on too much, we've been real busy at work, plus daily rads, plus, I bought a new laptop. It's a different "flavor" than I'm used too, so it's taking me some time to get everything up and running.

I thought we could leave the game request hanging out there for a few more days to make sure everyone who wants to play has a chance to see it. Also, I was thinking, Twink and I were going back and forth about volunteering our DH's so that I, or whoever, wants to run the game can play too. How 'bout we have 2 of us run it and split the list in half, each containing the other's name. That way, theres no chance of accidentally finding out....Just a thought. Anyway, I was thinking we could get things rolling this weekend. What are everyone's thoughts on the dollar amount limit? I was thinking pretty small. $5.00 or less. Your thoughts??

Thinking of you all. Especially Twink and Leah.

Hugs to all, talk to you soon!

    Carynn
