Little Feat (one of many great bands ignored, for the most part, by classic rock radio, but why?)

    Mott the Hoople

    Radar Love

(totally agree about Little Feat, they have so many great songs. but classic rock radio seems to play the same 30 or 40 songs over and over. think I'll start suggesting sets to Cumulus or Clear or whoever the hell owns all the radio stations these days!)

Oh, that's a little tough...'cause I bet you mean Marvin Gaye, but because I was hearing the almost spoken word intro in my head I have to say...

    Oh, Boy!

Hey, Twinmom! My son is a HUGE fan of NIN. Trent Reznor is obviously a genius, but I am not all that crazy about his music. Although I did like Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt", and I did like "Ghosts I-IV" - a couple of nice tracks were in "The Social Network", as I'm sure you know ;)

Heartnsoul, I'm not a big fan of any of the newer NIN, but I think his first couple albums are pure genius. And Johnny Cash made "hurt" all his own! Even Trent said something along those lines.

Do you mean the Mannheim Steamroller one?  (Loved their early albums -- had them on vinyl.)

    Mannheim spells theirs "Fresh Aire"

Mine is the groovy, hippie tune by Quicksilver Messenger Service.  For your enjoyment, I'll put up a link to a nice, trippy version on the Uber-Tube. You'll know it when you hear it.

    Fresh Air

Your song is the Beach Boys (from about the same time period, I think)

P.S. Enjoyed the trip back to the 70's, Elimar. I used to have so many posters like that...well, they didn't move (most of the time - haha)

Oh, gosh! I came back to the thread and now that song is stuck in my head again! Julie, I actually love his voice, too. It was also a funny show - now I'm thinking about torturing my son and making him watch an episode or two!

Styx - I was just thinking of them the other day, too!
