    Semisonic (?)

Cast Your Fate to the Wind was by Vince Guaraldi . . .  Apparently the James Gang used in in a song of theirs?  I wasn't familiar with that.

Closing Time is by Leonard Cohen  - my parents had a record of The Sandpipers singing Cast Your Fate to the Wind (that's the version that I remember).

Is Juke Box Hero by Foreigner?

JulieH, my mind usually goes to the most "rockin'" answer first.

LindaKR,  I could only think of the Semisonic version also.

Those Were The Days = Mary Hopkin (Hopkins?)

(I also remember one by the same name that was the theme to "All In The Family" t.v. show...no idea who that was by tho'.)

HnS, my last song was by Simply Red (their big 80's hit.)  Don't know current one.
