I am still working on my first quilt. It is very bright sampler quilt. 9 squares. I am presently quilting it together. I plan to do a block each month. I will try to get you a picture of it.

It's a Truly Tuesday.
I got to take another yoga class, (substitute teacher who was also EXCELLANT!) and feel reinvigorated to begin my day @ 1:30. LOL
Had a nice rest of the morning with one of my class mates at her little home, right up the hill from ours. What a lovely visit.
How I wish we had the luxury of meeting one another in person & reflecting together.

These are pics from last year.... from our family reunion. We have been doing this for as long as I can remember. Dad and Mom, who started it are gone many years now...but they would be pleased that we've kept it up. All my brothers and sisters, their kids and their kids come and we have a group of 45 + now. I'm so looking forward to getting away, it'll be the first time since all this started! We'll be gone from Friday to Monday. A few years ago the strong ladies of my family decided we needed a break too, and we started having the weekend catered. All meals except breakfast are brought in from the outside... the guys miss our home cooking but we don't! lol We'll be missing my brother-in-law, Jim and my sister Margee this year, both taken by this awful disease of cancer... but I'm sure we'll be shaing alot of memories...

The quilt is in 5 colours....
black with large flowers in different colours
black with small flowers in different colours
pink, yellow, red
Baby block, Dresden plate, Traditional Fan, Ohio Star, Friendship Star, Rail Fence, flower applique, 9 Patch and Grandmothers garden.
The bars around are a light yellow with green squares. The back is green.
It is basted together and I am starting the task of completing it square by square.

We had a late lunch at an outdoor restaurant on the shoreline today. It was just so breath takingly beautiful. We have about 10 more days up here -- then back to the 'real world.'
