Lovely, Lisa! Here is one that is not beachy but is pretty cool. Taken by Melissa's (SV) friend David.

Lisa-I actually hesitated to move my mouse because I was thinking motion would make the bird fly away! Then I remembered - it was virtual!  Nice shot!

BarbaraA- love the nativity-extremely well behaved dogs

    WELCOME JAN508!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you heard?? I have the crazies for daisies!!!! I am so happy that you've found our beachie little thread and have joined in our shoreline frolic. (Note to self: must find flip-flops!)

Julz how on earth do we ever 'manage' around here with you going to work & taking care of your family -- instead of soaking us with pictures??

LOVE all the birds in flight.

The Nativity picture is truly unique. I didn't even catch on in the first glimpse. All of our dog lovers beach-side will surely be snitching that for their permanent collections.

Well beachies. We are totally out of our house. Hubby has been a dear and gone over daily and cleared out my studio 'left-over' nonsense...... I just couldn't bring myself to take it completely apart. I got the majority accomplished, but he did the heroic work to finish it up.

So this means that we are indeed ready to depart in the early morning on our quasi-permanent southern sojourn. It's been a funky kind of day, as the reality has finally hit home.

Jan, I'll get ya some flip flops from the road tomorrow, honest.,,,,, in the meantime, this is a quick pick-me-up!

    faithand fifty:

Thanks for the warm welcome!!!! Yes, daisies are my favorites...I was reading your bio and I am definitely going to check out your blogspot.

You sound like the most interesting person who has so much going on in her life that grass can never grow under you feet.

I love love flip flops...living at the beach I have quite a few pairs but more are always welcome.

    Thanks again

Actually Faithie, i came across the most adorable baby outfit, and I bought it.  I certainly hope my baby-boo is a girl, if not the outfit will go into storage.  It reminded me of you because of little black and white polka dots!

    Seriously.

    Have I missed an announcement??

Meecie? Do you have a baby-boo on the horizon? Has my mind gone completely to oatmeal mush, full of Swiss cheese holes?? Meecie? Baby-boo??

All I've got in my brain is that Barbe has #3 on the horizon.

Is there a baby Meecie? I am so easily confused. LOL.

Yet thank goodness, you've gotten out shopping and have graced our newbie Jan with THE perfect set of flipflops!!!

This is a ten hour drive time day. We just crossed out of Ohio and are now in KY. Over the river and thru the woods -- to my mommy's house we go.

Snow globe snow flakes in the air.

We're really doing this. Moving that is. It may dawn on me some time mid-Jan.

That's true Faith; you are so used to being on the road and sleeping in "strange" beds that only when it becomes the same bed night after night will you realize you've really moved!

I am going to be a grandma in June, Faithie.  For me to be expecting would truly be a miracle.  I call the baby on the way "baby-boo"  because it's sex will be a surprise unless it is an exhibitionist during one of the ultrasounds.

Be very safe on your travels, Faithie.

    Honest-to-goodness, Meecie?!?!?!?!

Grandma, Grannie, GeeGee, Gigi, Loli, Nana in the making?!?!?!?!?!

I really did miss the announcement.........................

    How THRILLING!!!!!

Are they planning 'not' to find out the sex? Our kids in Denver asked NOT to be informed, all three times. All three times it was a boy -- but they never knew till the arrival moment, keeping us all in suspense the whole time.

I must say that I enjoyed 'knowing' what to expect with our local trio. The predictions were correct  in their case.

The Denver guys called their third unborn babe 'Nina' while she was pregnant..... the big brothers still use Nina as an affectionate nick-name for their little brother. Cute.

You're just gonna LOVE!!!!!! the grandma gig. Absolutely the best gift available.

Last night I had THE best time tucking in the kiddos. We were there for four nights in a row, but last night in my heart, I knew it was the last time to tuck 'em into their beds for a V-E-R-Y long time. So I had to savor every morsel.

WonderBoy was feeling especially affectionate and loving all the neck sugar.

Ah, Faithie, your wonder boy stores sugar behind his neck, too.  My little boys always did.  Now they are big boys and probably not so sweet, but I will leave that to DIL, FDIL and GF to discover. I wanted plain gramma but DIL wants something to specify "which" one, perhaps "Grammeece"?  They live an 10 1/2 to11 hour drive away.  It will be hard.  DS & FDIL will live locally once they marry because her family is here, and I think her family would pick up and move if the kids left.  So some day I will have little ones nearby.

They do not want to know.  They chose a monkey theme for the nursery and I am making the window coverings and bedding.  I plan on little pink bows which can be added if necessary.

I only wanted to know on my last one because I wanted time to really girl up the nursery if it was a girl.  I couldn't tell from the one US I had, so I had many surprises.

Meece, I must have missed that news too! And you and I are on many threads together....hmmmm. Well congrats!!!! My two are 3 months old now and I LOVE it. I came home last week and my DD was in the foyer with Zach facing me as I came in. He wiggled and squealed when he saw me and it surprised my DD! So neat to know he's recognizing the one who loves him the most! (after Mom and Dad of course..Wink) They both seem to have incredible bowel movements at my house. I play with them on the floor bicycling their legs and stuff like that and away they go! Both kids have commented on the volume....

Now back to the beach! Great to see you Julz, I pray for your son often.

    Awesome pic, Bren.

The sun is shining so brightly at the moment I can't quite see them, but will enjoy scrolling back and seeing more detail in less brilliantly lit surroundings. How old are you grands?

Thank goodness, Barbe, that Meecie's thrilling news escaped you, too. It's times like these when I wonder if I really have indeed lost-my-marbles?? I think the constantly shifting of my earthly belongings, changing time zones, going thru airport security, clutching my phone charger from adventure to adventure has maxed out my brain's capacity. LOL.

The other day I went to get gas in the car and the pump needed me to verify the zip code on my credit card. I tried guess one. WRONG. Tried guess number two. WRONG!! Card rejected for failure to grasp zip code connectivity. LOL.

It was kinda sorta funny at the time & I eventually got gas by calling hubby & learning the where with all of that card & it's mailing address. Geeeesh.

How can they expect me to know that level of drivel is beyond me.

It has been a long time coming and I still worry.  Now that she is in her second trimester I am a little more willing to be excited.  I did post it over in the "Garden" since they knew of the difficulties in getting baby-boo on the way.
