Edit to add pic at the top of the page. Don't want page mother to catch it:)
Lisa, that is a neat pic of that little boy. I sure hope his mom and dad got that. It should be framed!!
Lisa I'm sure while you were serving our country, you were able to see some beautiful places in the world. That's one good benefit I guess:) I used to work at a VA Hospital, and I ALWAYS loved sitting and talking with the veterans in the nursing home there. They were always happy to share their story or two or three......LOL. That was some good memories. Some of them would wheel their chairs outside under the huge trees on the grounds. The squirrels knew that meant chow time. The vets had peanuts, and I saw squirrels climb up in the laps of some of these men and eat out of their hand!!!! It was the NEATEST!!!!!!
Hugs to all beachies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coonie. I am so grateful for your page-topper. Actually I'm just grateful for your shy little smile peeking outta that tree nook. It's good to see ol' friends.
faithRoadie, I'm so glad that your surgery was uneventful and that you're on this side of the procedure. I'm glad that you're relieved to have your choice supported. Not that we're keeping count necessarily, but I too, am a BILAT with no recon-by-choice gal. I do tuck in some fluffies because I am so sunken. They bring me to just about flat and a tad beyond. I'm one of Mum's coconut crowd appreciators. LOL.
Lisa your drummer-boy is spectaculr. You should send that to the newspaper. The boy is so focused -- which makes the picture such a treasure.
Mum, as always, we are so grateful for your hubby's talents. Please continue to thank him for us. When do you leave for Germany?? That was the shortest part of our recent adventure and I feel as though we hardly saw any of that country.
Barbe, I did receive a PM that you were completely correct in remembering the story of Marsha's broken leg during treatment. I didn't want to confirm anything until I could check to be certain. My memory is such a fog and I didn't want to get things tangled up.
Saint's leg broke when she tripped over their doggy-gate and she had a rod placed in the midst of quite an ordeal & hospitalization. Marsha consulted with Saint when it happened to her & Pat was able to give her a lot of encouragement for the recovery phase.
Marsha was in the Patsy Cline musical in Ocala. We were in our subdivision with our builder the day of her show. We went into town with the hopes & intent of getting tickets and seeing her onstage. We got lost in a thunderous storm and ended up at JC Penney's and bought curtains when we couldn't find the theatre in time. It was our only night there on that trip, so I didn't get to see her on-stage. It was the following winter that we had our FL rendez-vous.
I continue to work on painting my skirt and now have added painting a vest as well. It's turning into quite an original project. LOL. It's been good therapy. I have some paint that goes on cloudy, but then turns to a metallic glitter surface. They'll see me from the back row!!!
I have some gigantic-wide rick-rac and hope to get that trimmed up with some other do-dad nonsense. It needs a little more oomph.
It will probably take me another 3 or 4 months to do all the ideas I've concocted..... but I'll have it far enough along by Sun to pack it for VEGAS. Why do teachers need to be in Vegas in July?? They must get a deal on the place. We're returning to the Venetian.... the place where I had the remote control for my window coverings. We'll see if I get a suite this year!
Take care everyone.
Sharon, thinking of you and all of our other beachies-taking-a-hiatus.

Why did God make the Puffin such a beautiful bird and then hide it so far away???? Why???

LOVE all the pictures tonight!!!!
Roadie? How ya doing this evening? We had an absolutely glorious sunset here. Got my pictures downloaded to my computer then uploaded to my blog.
Went to cut and paste them here, as always have done in the past..... only to learn that Google no longer allows that function. Arggggg. Went to the FB networked blog tab thinking I could grab them easily there. No soap.
Don't have the where-with-all to upload them all over again to Picassa.
Will you forgive me if I ask you to go straight to the blog itself to view?
While you're there, the post I put up this morning is about Lymphedema and my scarf trick.
Here's the link: www.rainbowswithinreach.blogspot.com
Just when I get comfortable with technology, they change it all over again!
Hope everyone sleeps deeply!

Faithie - I love, love, love your website. I have several friends who are professional nannies. If it's ok with you, I will share it with them as well. They are all about kids!!!
I'm healing up well. I slept the day away yesterday. I must have needed to catch up. The pain meds made me sick, so I haven't use them much. The drains don't seem so bad this time. I see the PS on Monday, and hopefully, I'll go back to work next Wednesday; as long as I don't do any lifting etc...This decision was right for me. It feels so good to be free of the implants.Everyone have a great day!!

FaithRoad, so glad you tolerated the surgery well and that you're happy with the decision. I can't comment as others who had the same thing, but I can say that ... God forbid ... if anything came in my future where I needed to make that decision, I know 100% that I would not have recon. I did lumpec on original diagnosis but would get both chopped with nothing done after if I had to make that choice later in life for any reason.Gentle hugs to you hon.
