Thank you SoCalLisa and chabba!  ptdreamers, I am between Hoquiam and Humptulips, in Grays Harbor County... on the Humptulips River.  Our family has a vacation home not too far from Hood Canal, on one of the inlets.  I love Hood Canal!

What great pictures everyone! And of course sandpipers are one of my favorite!  I saw hundreds if not thousands of them at the surfs edge in Ocean Shores yesterday on my walk.  So fun!

    Oh dear sweet beach-goers..........

I feel like I need to introduce myself, all over again. Just scrolled back through weeks of pictures and fun. Incredible pictures from the usuals. Breath-taking one and all, even in the car w sun streaming onto the screen.

Wild wooly spring for us. I haven't been at BCO since the face-lift and feel like I have to learn to navigate all over again.

Just starting another of my 3 day road trips. Headed to Detroit first. Back thru Columbus for a school visit at the end of the week and then headed directly to DC for youngest FINAL graduation as she is getting her doctorate this weekend. We plan to be there in time to hear her play at the Kennedy Center!!!!

Craziness as I attempt to give dozens of end-of-the-year school programs hither and yonder.

I saw SPAR pop in!! Old times!

I wondered if I'd find Julz back among the beach-combers. Sorry you're here J-dearie. You know we all LUV ya!!

Coonie left me a comment on my blog for Mother's Day, so I know she sends her LUV as well.

    Hugs to one and all.

Wow Faith we missed you. I hope your health is good and that your Mothers Day was wonderful.

I ordered a beautiful flower arrangement for my mom to be sent up to her house in Thunderbay. No flowers arrived. I want to warn everyone about the 1800 flowers website.Don't use them.I even ordered them a week early so they would arrive the Friday before mothersday.Yell

Mum, that sucks.  Next time call the florist in T.B. directly.  Cheaper and you'll be pretty sure the arrangement will be delivered.

Thanks so much ALL for the wonderful serene pics!  I sure need it tonight!  Just found out I have DCIS.  I have to wait for the surgery to know the extent as the MRI showed another lesion & 5 nodes showed up besides the Mass that has the cancer.

Julz~I'm so sorry to read of your dx.  Smart girl to have kept on top of things over these past years but still, a dx of cancer is shocking nevertheless.  Sending gentle hugs.

    Mum~bon voyage.

    Julz.........................

What on earth to say? I liked you better when you were our honorary member and head cheerleader. So deplore that you are now joining as a card carrying member. So brilliant that you have us already in your purse for all of this nonsense. We're here for you of course.

Oh what serene beautiful vistas!!!!  LOVE IT!

I wish I could stay your cheerleaders too.....it wasn't to be.  I am Thankful some how in all this! That I was able to get a good chunk of learning in years before. It makes it a tad easier....as if it ever could be.  Because as doable as DCIS can be on the whole of possibility's of BC's mine is proving to be a rare type.  The BS informed me that I am ER- & PR-, possibility of a Micro Invasion with a Grade of 2-3.  I go in Tuesday at 10 am to start a wire guided partial mastectomy & CNB.  If the nodes show anything depending on the extent it then becomes a node dissection.  What this leaves me with is Rads, a good chance of Chemo but no Tamoxifen. Ultimately I'm looking at a Triple Neg. DX & it being caught early.  My BS wanted me in ASAP before the little boogers have a chance to break free... Surgery is set to start at 12:30 on Tuesday.

((((((Chabba, Marple, Jay, Faith, Lisa, Sheila, Eph, Spar, Mumito & to Any I have missed)))))

I'm still smiling like my Grandson does in my Avatar Pic.... it takes a little extra effort to turn those corners up at times! Keeping lots busy with my crazy life...that's for another day.  When I am recouping....But for now Thank You ALL so much!

julz, like everyone else, I'm sorry the cheerleading status has changed :(  but...one of the things I hope you've learned from us is that our lives post-cancer can be wonderful in every way.

Faith, like you, I've been an infrequent visitor lately. Good to see you here sweetie :) Our dd got engaged last November, and they got married in April! The venue they wanted had that date open (Sat before Easter, so not very popular) and they grabbed it. Yes, it is possible to plan a wedding in 5 months!!! And during that time, our other dd announced that she was going to make us grandparents this Fall! So a wonderful, blessed winter/spring in our lives.

And to top it off, we opened up our trailer today and made out much better than we'd feared over the winter. When we were closing up last fall, there was a leak we discovered and made a hasty repair. Lucky for us it held - woo hoo!! So we're beginning our weekend vacation season here at Hideaway Beach on a good note. Didn't get to our bay today for new pics, but pulling from the archives is sometimes fun too :)

Love and hugs buds ... love and hugs.

Mar...yes life does go on! Thanks for the kind words! Pics old or new refresh the soul!

Surgery is done! Waiting for the path report on the 30th. Very tired! They had a very hard time waking me after surgery. Very low heart rate too. But I was able to get stable so they could send me home last night.

They only had to take 2 nodes out! Both were clear so far. They will further test them with the breast tissue & mass. I go in on the 30th for the recheck with the BS & get the Path report. Then we find out the next step. Rads definitely, possible Chemo.

    Thanks Beachies!
