Meh. It's a bit hot, and the skies are hazy from smoke coming from the forest fires in the mountains.

The next person is getting their masks out again.

No, just the opposite. I'm frustrated with people who believe the inconsistent things the politicians are saying without question when there's so much opposite evidence to be found (no offence intended).

The next person has been watching the mainstream news a lot.

I would love to but with some things we have going on, I don't think we will be able to for at least a few weeks.

    Hi Ocean!

No I haven't but there have been a number of things that were hard to get in the last year or so.

    Hi again Ocean!!

I do enjoy shopping in stores although a lot of things aren't available in stores here.

The next person doesn't have to travel far to most stores they like.

I would, if the Japanese beetles hadn't chewed through so much of it. I have a big bucket of soapy water filled with their corpses, though.

The next person has a nice view from their windows.

    Hi Ocean!!

I can hand sew but I wouldn't say I'm all that good at it.

The next person can use a sewing machine.

    Hi Aussie!

I wish I could say yes, but I'm not sure when we will be traveling again other than short trips close to home.

The next person is longing for the world they grew up in. (I do so much or my kids and grandkids)

    Hi Ocean!!

Yes, I certainly do long for the freedom we used to know (we are still having strict lockdowns and restrictions).

The next person has been travelling recently.

I don't know if driving from North Dakota to Wisconsin for a family gathering counts as 'traveling', but that is as far as we've gotten since Covid.

The next person likes car trips (I do not!)

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

Hi Ruth, that certainly sounds like travelling. We are only allowed to go 5 kilometres at the moment!

I do like car trips but not for too many hours.

    The next person likes driving.

Nope. That's my DH's job. He loves to drive.

The next person loves to fly. (Except dealing with crowded airports. You can exclude that part.)

I don't mind flying, but always hated the crowded conditions. I haven't flown since the start of COVID.

The next person has taken long car trips--I have driven cross-country several times in the past and enjoy--even after 6000 miles!!

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

Yes, the longest would be about 1,100 miles when I went with my then boyfriend, now husband, to see his aunt & uncle in Texas when we were in high school.

The next person has seen both the East and West coasts of the United States. (I haven't been to the West Coast, though I would like to some day)

I haven't played Scrabble in a long time, but always enjoyed!

The next person has traveled to Greece (I have, and loved it! Especially Athens, Corinth, and the day cruise to various islands!) (Sorry, Jo, you live there so don't get to answer this one!!)
