True. I read an article that said that New Years is one of the worst times to try to make life changes, especially in the Northern hemisphere. Between mood disruption from lower sunlight levels and the flurry of holidays in December and January, it is hard to channel energy into reflection and change. The best times are when the seasons are changing, with summer to fall being the most effective.
