Harley, good for you. I work jigsaws as well as big books of crossword puzzles — love both. I really don't have a lot of hints on doing jigsaws. Other than (I'd think most people do it this way) trying when possible to get the border pieces separated and put together first.

Sometimes we can't do it because I missed a piece or two while setting up — so we start working with whatever is done. I generally pick out some area on the border that is a certain color and work on expanding that. Seems to me that it leads me to another 'color' shade and I can often work in one area quite some time following the slightly different shades. Also at times I will pick out a puzzle object, find as many pieces as I can and put it together in the middle of the empty puzzle to be attached when we are at a point where no more pieces seem available.

We cannot do the larger puzzles and have to confine ourselves to 750 or 800 pieces. Our table is a long rectangular one that I can pull out of another room. It won't hold a big puzzle. I got the table because I felt it would be easy to move around. We had a card table yrs. ago and did all size puzzles but we were both better at it then.

Likely not much help to you, but that is what I do. Lately Dh has helped less and less and I'm doing most of the puzzle on my own. I already am the one to separate pieces, turn all over etc. I always separate out the edge pieces first, then while doing so make sure all pieces are turned over face up. Some people separate further into colors — like sky, but I usually don't bother with that. I just start the puzzle with an area on the border with a real specific color, grab as many pieces of that color as I can find and then start trying to get them fit. It generally works well for me. Enjoy…..

harley07, do protest his note. It is unprofessional and a judgment call. He needs to back something like this with behavior examples. See if you can shut off the text messages. We were getting robocalls every other day for appointments starting sometimes 3 weeks out. It took some sleuthing but I did manage to find on the portal where I could shut it down. I also do not give them my cell phone number so they cannot text me. We still have a home phone so we are lucky that we are not totally dependent on cell phones for contacts.

Harley07, I asked my MO to remove requests for mammograms so I would no longer get those messages. She did and I haven't had one reminder since. She agreed as my myriads of full body scans take care of any potential issues. That's what mammograms are for aren't they? To pre-screen for problems, unless you no longer get routine scans. It is so difficult to get records changed. Kudos to you for advocating for yourself!

I don't get here everyday but two earlier posts caught my eye -

Jackie, remember to keep hydrated with the heat. A lot of medicines that we older folks take can also lead to dehydration so when the temperatures go up, it adds to the risk. You certainly don't want to fall. I also carry ice water in my car, even if I'm not going far.

Betrayal - I'm laughing at your "disappearing husbands" as I have one too. I have a marriage certificate that says my gg grandmother married a second time after her first spouse died. However, in 1900, she lists herself as a widow and he is back in New Hampshire (where she originally came from too) with another wife. I've never found a divorce certificate and am still looking for more proof that there was a divorce or that he really was a bigamist. You're right! We lost a lot when we lost the 1890 census.

Sounds like a lot of hugs are needed. Holding you all tight. I had a bad winter but am feeling both physically and mentally stronger now and I hope that all of you who are troubled right now will feel the same way soon.

Trials, temptations, disappointments--all these are helps instead of hindrances, if one uses them rightly. They not only test the fiber of character but strengthen it.  Every conquering of temptation represents a new fund of moral energy.  Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit makes a soul nobler and stronger than it was before.

Happy Birthday, Cindy! Hope you enjoy the celebration.

Betrayal, you are doing well with PT. I can tell from your posts that you are gradually resuming your daily chores around the house.

Jackie, I did smile when you said you were hoping for rain. After laments a few weeks ago about too much rain.

This has been a "different" June, not what the local MN folks had wanted. Aside from the two days of heat a week ago, courtesy of the heat dome, June has been very cool, even cold. No complaints from me. I played golf yesterday in long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. A few rays of sun would have been nice, I admit. During the afternoon, we turned on the little electric heater in the 5th wheel camper.

Tonight the forecast warns of possible severe storms with a slight possibility of golf-ball size hail and a tornado. I do hate being awakened after midnight with thunder and wind. Here's hoping we luck out again.

Puzzles. I like putting jigsaw puzzles together. That's not an option with limited living area. I spend quite a bit of time doing NYT puzzles. Wordle, Spelling Bee, Connections, Strands, Mini Crossword. On Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays I can work the big Crossword but then they get progressively harder. I do some of the puzzles on the laptop and some on my iPhone. I justify the time as good mind exercise.

Today I plan to go to town to the gym and then buy a few items at a supermarket and a bottle of wine at the liquor store. No alcoholic beverages in supermarkets here in MN.

    A good Friday for all.

Well, good afternoon again, although only just barely. It's 3 mins. after 12.00. I had some other things to get straightened out so only did the quote this a.m. It goes to three different places on the Internet and I have 5 people who prefer to get theirs in their personal e-mail. It remains my joy even though I have been doing quotes since 2007 ——— so if you ever noticed a re-run now and then, that's why.

Taco, I was happy to read your negative winter was rough but you're feeling things swinging upward for you. Given time things do change — or is it us changing. Well as long as we do while getting better I guess it doesn't much matter.

Carole, my memory for some things isn't real strong but seems to me I don't recall the MN weather in the first weeks of your being back there having a lot of storm activity or being cool enough for you to turn on heat much in your little home. I can see why the local people are not so thrilled. I'm sure they would be just as un-happy to trade with some of us here.

We are awaiting some rain (hope it gets here😉) but in the meantime we are getting that no air/breeze humid thick feeling despite the sun being muted part of the time. Dh and I had pretty much planned to stay in although it is harder for him than me. My friend Jo (when Dr. B was alive) said that he, just like Dh, often would go out everyday (when not working) and make rounds just because. Out of curiosity she went with him one time and he never really did much of anything but hit a few stores and stopped at a convenience store for some trifle but had lots of conversations with people in these places. Finally he ended up back at home. Dh has done this for so long. He is slowly learning how not to HAVE to get out, but the call of the wild still comes from time to time. I think the heat is enough to tame him right now.

I so enjoyed all the previous entries. Good to know you feel more stable now Cowgirl. Wishing continued healing.

I hope you are all going to have a good positive start to your week-end. Hard to believe July is just around the corner already. That is fireworks and parades here. We have a kids parade in the morning and the adult version in the evening. When we first moved here we lived a half a block from the street the parades marched down. Made it easy to attend, but I do prefer living out here in the woods.

Made 8 minutes on bike today without a warmup and it felt good. Definitely back to 10 minutes next week. PT has ben focusing on leg swelling and it is so much better that it was when she started. Still swells but not as constricting and should end by 6 months post-op. Fingers crossed. I was able to resume regular exercise regimen without any issues, too. May feel it tomorrow but plan is to weed early in the day so I'll rest later.

Ran to Produce Junction after PT to get vegetables and fruit for next week. Want to make ratatouille and possibly eggplant parmesan for meals. Also got some bicolor corn on the cob, acorn squash, asparagus and cabbage. If I do a lot of cooking over the weekend, I will just have to reheat during the week.

Went to Bonefish Grill for late lunch, early dinner and spent time talking to the manager. He sat with us for a bit and conversation went from our next planned trip to him wanting to see Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, to us booking a room in August to celebrate the August birthdays (only 9 of us but we get a private room at no cost), and then asking about the Mango creme brulee (wasn't posted on menu, but I had seen it online). He made the latter especially for us since quantities were limited, and servers didn't know it was available. It was delicious and covered with chopped fresh mango and whipped cream. I will order it again because it was very light and smooth. I love mangos but hate how much work it is to get the seed out. I'm stuffed and brought most of dinner home for a second meal. Great server as well.

I returned the Blue butterfly bush because it was continuing to die and shed leaves. So the water I gave it just postponed the inevitable. DH said return department pulled up photo of what it should look like and woman said "well, this doesn't look anything like that", so no problem with return. We stopped there on the way home and they had 4 of the blue ones in the garden section. I found 2 that looked decent and purchased them. One will be planted where the original had been, and I have a spot close to the front of the house where the one hydrangea died. So I will help DH plant them when it is cooler. I also bought 3 Russian sage to put in the bed by the rock. So far the deer have left the ones I planted before alone, and they do spread. I am trying to get that bed to resemble a British garden with a wide variety of plants and filled in.

Taco, finding those divorce papers opened the door and it has taken over 15 years to determine why and where he disappeared to. There was a man with the same name buried in a local cemetery but he had outlived one wife, and then was buried with another. So there was a major disconnect that I could not solve. The answer was on his third wedding license application which was illegible. When I printed the copy, I was able to make out what it had documented. See if you can find a marriage license application. Then miraculously I was able to find a newspaper listing of divorce filings; person who filed ws listed first, so he filed. Every onec in a while I get a breakthrough that keeps me searching for more unknowns.

Carole, sounds like your weather would have been a welcome respite from the heat we had. Enjoy it while you can.

cowgirl1, thanks for stopping in to provide us with an update on how you are doing. Sending you a big ((HUG)).

cindyny, just a reminder that surgeon wanted you to give your foot a chance to recover from surgery. If you don't want any more problems, please take it easy even though you want to go, go, go.

Illinoislady, as we age our thirst trigger doesn't work well and as Taco said, some of the meds taken for BP have an adverse effect on fluid levels. So drink something every hour even if you don't feel thirsty. I have to remind myself to do so, and I am not on any antihypertensives, but do take others that can dehydrate me. I don't think you are on fluid restriction as far as I know so drink more.

We were suoposed to get scattered showers today and right as I was leaving for PT, the skies opened and it was a gully washer. It has sprinkled a bit since then but nothing like that. So all the plants got a good watering for at least today. Tomorrow we are to go back into the heat, but today was only in the high 60's. It felt good because my clothes did not stick to me.

Hope everyone had a great day. Waving hello to everyone I didn't mention specifically.

Cowgirl and Taco - I’m happy to hear that things are looking a bit brighter in your corner of the world.

Carole, I’m sure visitors to MN are hoping for warmer temps to enjoy all the beautiful lakes. But I’m a bit envious as I love cooler temps.

I volunteered at the food pantry today and it was a bit chaotic. Temps in the in the high 80’s and humid. In addition to our regular volunteers, we had a church mission trip join us with 19 teens and 4 adults. It was a bit tight space wise but they were a very well mannered group and we enjoyed their company. It made me think back to the 3 mission trips my son did while in high school. I know those trips were eye opening for him.

Several of the other volunteers or their spouses are experiencing serious health challenges which is a good reminder to me to enjoy every minute of good health. Speaking of which, the mammogram results were normal as I expected given that I’ve had 3 CT’s, a PET and an MRI in the past 15 months. So I can push that to the back of my mind for a few years (or maybe never again).

I came home afterwards and jumped in the pool to cool off. There was a mourning dove sitting on top of a neighbor’s chimney and he flew over to pay us a visit. He came right up to the side of the pool however, I don’t know if they can swim or float so I shooed him away. He then took up a perch on another neighbor’s play set and watched us. I felt rather guilty enjoying the cool water under his watchful gaze.

Betrayal, thank you for your advice regarding my medical records. The RN’s latest amendment was that I stated “all information is my records and I won’t do the MWV next year. So the RN felt uncomfortable and left the room without completing the exam”. I can live with this version although that isn’t quite accurate. The health system sent me info on how to file a Complaint of Care against the RN either with the hospital system or with the state board. I think they are required to provide this info? Anyhow, I have no intention of filing a complaint against the RN. I just wanted the info to be accurate. The practice manager had called and left me a voice message yesterday as well. Case closed from my perspective.

    Enjoy the weekend.

harley07, I used to require my student nurse's to write their patient notes on an index card for review prior to entering it into the patient chart because this is a legal document. So entries must be professional, describe aberrant or normal patient behavior in accurate terms and not include personal judgments on the part of the student or nurse.

One student wrote, "the patient had been a pain in the ass the entire shift". While I agreed with this in my head, I pointed out to the student that this was hardly a professional assessment of the patient behavior and asked how we could best describe why she came to that conclusion? It took some doing but we were able to couch it in professional terms by describing how the patient had been demanding, frequently requesting narcotics long before they were due, and how verbally aggressive (and foul mouthed) she had been when we explained why they were not yet available. She frequently left the floor (after saying she was in intractable pain) to smoke outdoors (permissible at the time) and was on the phone most of the time (an acceptable diversion, but without any signs of discomfort). She entered the professional note in the patient's chart.

When we left the floor, we walked past this patient's room and she was sound asleep with her bare butt facing the hallway. The student looked at me, I nodded, and she made the decision to go in to cover the patient. We had been off the floor for post-conference for 45 minutes, so we had no idea how long she had been exposed. Sadly, this was during visiting hours so we are hoping it wasn't that long.

The student left our program and entered another where she was successful. Years later, I had the opportunity to work with her as adjunct faculty at the college. One day she asked if I remembered that occurrence. I told her I did, and then she thanked me for helping her learn about legal and professional entries in patient records. So you can think it, you just can't enter it into a chart. The RN capitulated, but still lacked insight in your case.

Some other additions for the day. Mainly, we did get a sm. rain a short while ago. Wasn't much, but it did cool it down. We are at 80 degrees right now — way cooler than it has been for some time. It is due to rain some more later, and actually three more days. Well, that's a wait and see thing around here. I likely would not mind though — this time.

The other thing I'd likely forget to mention is that I am on water restriction. I have decided though since my blood pressure is almost never low like it was, that I might be able to get the restriction lifted. I went for a couple yrs. often with morning blood pressure of maybe 70/30 — so I often would be swollen back then. Finally because I did some PT and over time was able to get my ejection fraction (in mid 20's) back up to normal along with being able to tolerate a lot more activities, it seemed my low blood pressure got far better. I still take my blood pressure before taking heart meds (those tend to drop the pressure) but I really can't recall how long it's been since I didn't feel I was fine to medicate.

Interestingly enough before my mitral valve surgery I had high blood pressure and was on three meds for it. Afterwards, my blood pressure was down and I was able to be rid of all high pressure meds. Of course, they were replaced with heart meds but I feel I am finally close to normal for overall blood pressure issues. My only thing has been trying to adjust to be a 'heart' patient now. I miss not working anymore although I am gong to be 80 soon so likely by now I would not be working anyway.

I do expect to be on salt restriction and possibly some water as well. But we may be able to work with some of the numbers since it seems forever that I've not had blood pressure so low that I had to wait to take heart meds. I feel fairly good all the time despite just having had about of dysentery — which is why it made things so icky the other day going to Walmart after the Dr.'s ofc to pick up my needed prescriptions.

We've had an interesting day. A friend called late yesterday afternoon that her husband was having surgery today and her dog sitter couldn't help her. I went and picked up the cutest little female bishon this morning. The dogs have done well together and DH has fallen in love with her. Says we can keep her as long as we need to. Currently sleeping on the back of the couch that isn't Mutz's. He's on the ottoman at my feet. Bedtime may be interesting but our dog sitter often says she sleeps with 3 so I guess we can manage two.

    Have a safe weekend everyone.

    Happy birthday, Cindy!

Taco & Cowgirl, glad things are beginning to to look up. Carole, I remember grousing at the end of May about not yet being able to put my puffer jacket away. Be careful what you wish for: until today the heat index was over 100, and will be again on Sunday (severe storms, too). Canarycat, we're glad to see Toews rejoining the NHL (after 2 years recovering from CFS) but crushed that he's spurning the Blackhawks for his hometown Winnipeg Jets. When he lived in Lincoln Park he was the neighbor of my late friend Maryjane—and was so helpful to her after her mobility began to take a nosedive. The Blackhawks tonight drafted a mountain of a guy from Sweden, said to have the best shot in this year's draft class.

Betrayal, I don't know how you do it—with limited ROM in your knee, gardening so amazingly!

Today was our 54th anniversary. Went to Morton's up in Northbrook, and despite being very careful not to over-order we still hauled home leftovers. I'm eating a bit less these days (not just because of Zepbound) because I'm on Keflex, which gives me a hair-trigger gastro-colic reflex. I'm supposed to hydrate more than normal, but evey sip of anything sends me dashing to the loo. This is all because an epidermoid cyst I've had on my upper back for over a year—and was asymptomatic as recently as 6/6 so my derm said "if it doesn't bother you we wont bother it"—suddenly enlarged, got itchy and reddened over the past few days. Urgent Care put me on Keflex (and has me doing heat 20 min. on, 4x/day) but warned me that sooner or later I'll have to return to the derm to have it (ugh) incised & drained. Just what I need now, what with beginning to ferry stuff from here in Lincolnwood back to our house and sparring with contractors & subs. Last thing I need is having to worry about dressing changes (in an inaccessible place), popping sutures, and further infection. Hoping to hold out till we're finally settled back in. "Deja vu all over again" (a Berra-ism): last year at this time I had a biopsy on my upper arm that turned out to be squamous cell—but had to wait to have it excised till we'd fully moved from our hotel to here. (And that move was just a few suitcases, boxes, and the kitties).

Yesterday we went up to Abt to try out beds—I insisted Bob lie down on them. He hates the mattress in this house because it's so firm. We ended up buying an open-box Beautyrest split-king medium-firm with adjustable base. (The whole shebang, including protector, cost less than a new mattress right out of the box). The other three mattresses—second BR (used to be Gordy's room), daybed in front room, attic guest room—are twins; only the one in the second BR needs to be high-quality plush-top. That one we'll probably buy from Hassle-Less; the other two from Macy's or Bob's Discount (or even Ikea).

Tomorrow at noon I have a guitar gathering up in Algonquin—friends from the Acoustic Guitar Forum. I'm usually the one pressed into service doing vocals.

Sandy, you had mentioned the Dump on one of your posts. They had great deals on twin sized gel foam mattresses that we put on our day bed with a trundle in the guest room and the third bedroom (former DD's bedroom) bed and trundle. I slept in there during our restoration since primary bedroom had been destroyed. It was very comfortable. The grandkids sleep in the guest room when they come and love the mattresses.

You keep getting hit with more stressors, now the cyst and having to be on Keflex. Belated happy anniversary and many more.

cindyny, happy birthday and many more to you as well. I hope you have celebration plans and enjoy them with family and friends.

Regn woke me with her barking this morning so I decided I will try to get some weeding on the hill done thie morning. It's in the mid 60's so cool enough to work outside before the heat and rain that is predicted.

Surprisingly, I have been increasing level of exercises at PT and other than an occasional flare up of sciatica, I think I have turned a corner in my recovery. True knees still get sore on the inner aspect of my knee (insertion sites), but I haven't had to use ice on it at home, just at PT. I also haven't used a Norco in about 2 weeks. So let's hope it continues because it took so long to get here.

The knee from a year ago in June seems to be as near normal as a replacement can feel. It's momentarily painful to kneel to get out of the tub when I've had a soak, but I can live with that after not being able to take a bath for quite awhile prior to the surgeries.

Illinoislady, I would ask about easing up on the fluid restriction if your EF is within normal limits. If you can also try spacing your fluids out in smaller amounts over the day rather than larger amounts with meals, it will help.

Chris, I hope your thumbs are causing less pain.

I think you all know that gardening is my therapy, so when I am unable to do it, I lack that outlet for stress, etc. I do realize what I used to be able to do is probably not doable anymore but I intend to go down with a fight. I may see if I can get DGS here after their shore vacation. He likes to help me and he also likes to earn money so a win-win situation. Plus, I do enjoy his company, he's just expensive to feed, lol.

Waving "Hi" to everyone and hope you have a great day. The weeds are waiting so I am off.

Good morning. Low 70's right now, but likely a bit humid outdoors. Not much rain last evening and the ground looks dry outside. Overcast so hoping for more rain.

Happy Anniversary Sandy. You could do so w/o that cyst and I sure wish you were. When I think of you and others here as well I always recall that thing I've said before, "it's amazing what you can do when you have no choice". I have found that the ladies here, just like energizer bunnies pick up the pieces, find a way, forge a path, but whatever it takes just keep moving forward. I feel like whatever strength I might possess has been so much more enhanced by my associations here. So hats off to all who are here.

Hoping you have a good Farmer's Market day Carole.

Nothing special planned for today. It's about time to clean the fridge but not much else pressing at the moment. Hugs to all. Have a wonderful day.

We went out to Delmonico’s for dinner on Thursday for my actual bday. I ordered the lasagna, which is to die for. With my reflux, within 2-3 hours I had to take my newest reflux med. Then at night in bed I sat up reading, as I felt sleepy I came back downstairs and took another Pepcid chewable. So sad to say, this might be the last time I order their lasagna. Chunks of tomatoes in tomato sauce, with ground beef and sausage… reflux downfall. I do have at least 1/2 a piece left and will risk the reflux to finish it.

Family gathered here last night for salad, pizza, wings, and cake. We enjoyed ourselves out in the screen house, until the winds picked up and the temps dropped. That’s one way to end a party!

I’m going out to sit by the pool with a book. I can’t get in the pool yet. The stitches are coming out on 7/2, and in my head that was Tuesday, but it’s not until Wednesday. Ugh!

    Have a great weekend!

Canarycat. It was Sandy who saw her shrink. I saw the nurse today, and she did say she would do what she could do. Doctors are in such short supply here. They are either transferring to Rochester or going to other teaching hospitals. I am willing to travel. I am not willing to take NASIDS and precipitate a bleed so they will operate under emergency conditions. That could be fatal. Just a thought. Don't worry.

Cindy, happy you enjoyed your lasagana, even though the consequences were painful.

I am sewing, and to h___ with the consequences!!

Sandy, Happy Anniversary!! To both of you!

Chris — good for you. Hanging in there and enlisting a bit of help from the nurse to hopefully get you some attention perhaps a little sooner. I do think Dr's have been making some changes and it is not so good for a lot of people. I understand a bit. A couple of things have changed for me ( VA only) but it is my fortune that my Dr. and her nurse keep up with me to the letter and a bit beyond. I really am not sure how things with go if I had to rely on help outside the VA.

So I do hope you are able to get what you need w/o an extraordinary wait Chris. I'd like to think after we changed people at the top, things will go back to a more (for we the people) normal style for all but I know that will take time and be a long undertaking.

Semi cloudy today but so far no rain. I will presume more coming but I'm not sure when. I have stayed in today and have some left over potato salad and chicken I cooked yesterday that we will munch on for supper. I'm never as hungry in hot weather which impinges even though I'm inside in a/c.

Got a new puzzle started on my table that I drag in and out of my room so something to relax with when I'm done with my work.

Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday.

There were lots of people at the farmers market but not a lot of buyers at our tent. The consensus is that people are being more careful with their money because of some uncertainty about the economy. The Amish still sell tons of baked goods and canned goods and the sour dough bakers seem to have customers. Also the veggie farmers. We had a few customers that made it worth the effort. We may have saturated the local market. Quite a few people coming by have bought bowls in past summers. If we could bank compliments, we would be wealthy.

It's overcast so far this morning. Last night dh suggested we take the bikes to town and biking on the Heartland Trail but we will decide once we see what the weather has in store for today.

Glad you are enjoying your dog guest, Taco. Also glad you are celebrating your birthday, Cindy. Appropriate responses to everyone else.

    Happy Sunday to all.

Compassion, in which all ethics must take root, can only attain its full breadth and depth if it embraces all living creatures and does not limit itself to humankind.

    Albert Schweitzer

Ethics are responsibility without limit towards all that lives.

Good morning from cloudy Illinois. Still only the one small rain period Friday ( a little late) but I still assume the possibility is out there.

Loved the doggie pics — they are quite the cuties. Then again, dog lovers are hard to disappoint. Glad they are doing well together.

Canary — love the Yoda. Even more so that I can identify completely with what he said.

Carole, you are most likely right about the bowls. I do think for the most part the 'same' people keep going to the markets for food items they regularly use — so those who would branch out a bit have likely done so. I do think surely a few have wanted more than one bowl. It would make such a nice gift to someone — but that's how my mind works.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and stay cool.

Although the temperature read 73 degrees when I went outside to weed an hour ago, it is now 77 degrees. The humidity is high and I ended up sweating so much it was running into my eyes. Seems my head sweats more than my body. I spent an hour on the curve part of the driveway flower bed and made a significant dent. It still needs some finessing but that will have to wait for another day.

It rained last night so that made weed pulling easier, so I have half of a large black leaf bag full in addition to the 3/4's full one from yesterday. The weeds are winning. I work in the shade for the most part and once the sun shifts, I tend to quit. I figure if I can eke out an hour a day I stand a chance of getting the weeds somewhat under control. Once I finish these two areas, I will work on the hill where DGS planted the ferns. I do need to purchase about 50 bags of mulch to stave off weed return.

I am going to focus on the indoors today. The kitchen will get swept after I clean the bird cages and I have the dishwasher running now. Hummingbird nectar made and steaks pulled from freezer to thaw. I did make ratatouille yesterday though I added fresh stringbeans to the mix. I still cook items like this as if I were feeding an army, which means we will have it at several meals, but I love it so no big deal. I put everything into a large Corningware dish and baked it rather than sauteing all the veggies first so I am curious to see how it tastes.

carole, sorry to hear sales have dropped off but it is still early in the season. Do they have a market over the 4th Holiday?

canarycat, I was nursing faculty at the local community college and taught Fundamentals and Med-Surg I, plus Nursing Mathematics. I also did clinical in both the fall and spring semesters. So we do have that in common. I enjoyed it for 27 years though there was the occasional student who gave me pause and I had some concerns about their impact on the profession. I still hear from a few and enjoy it.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Stay cool and avoid the heat, if possible.
