What kind of chemo are you going to get?
I had chemo, radiation and Herceptin which you don't need that one.

Meece: my motto "ONE DAY AT A TIME" , I figure it is not doing me any good to worry and cry;, I can't change it. So I pray alot and lean on the lord. Although I am finding it hard not to be in charge. I am always the one to do eveything. But I will have to learn to let others do for me. I can't take that gift away from them. Well DD just got supper on the table, We'll see how it goes. I have not had any SE except for headache, heart burn, and light headedness. Hope it stays that way. I will get my nuelast injection on Sat. Just another thing to look forward to. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barb - hope things are going well for you - do you self administer the Nuelasta??
Well I wish you all a Good Night but I'll just wave from the door - I don't want to give you all my germs - I have a nasty head cold!!!

Barb, I had my Neulasta shot in the belly. Believe me, if you have a substantial layer of belly fat (like me) you don't even feel it & all 4 shots never bothered me at all. I freaked when the nurse suggested it the 1st time, but she said you don't feel it and you don't feel it later like you do in an arm or the butt. After the 1st time, I was sold.

BTW, Night Ainm; I'm off to join a friend & we are going to go see "Bounty Hunter". Have a good evening everyone! Joni

barb....Neulasta injection might give you bone and muscle pain for couple of days especially at bed time which I wasnt aware of and nobody warned me. Just you know so you wont be thinking something is wrong with you.
Ask your DR or the nurse if you should take some mild pain killer like Tylenol or Advil.
Ainm...I saw you waving, if you look in the map we can almost see each others country.
I hope you feel better soon.
patoo...feel better soon
meece....Are you gonna tuck me in later?
Good night everyone!
Joni...Are you kidding about where you got the Neulasta and why not the arm?

No I do not self administer. I will have the nurse do it. My husband did administer his. But his Dr. was 400 miles away. So it was the best solution. Had I know what I know now I would have had him do his treatments here. but yu live and learn. It sure would have been alot easier on us. Every thing is going well, very few se's so far. Thanks for asking . Here's wishin you all a good night.Night Ainm, Night Meece, Night Seyla, Night Jo, night Joni, Night Eph3, Night Patoo Hope i haven't missed any one. No hard feeling if I did it's not on purpose, I can blame it on Chemo brain now. HA!!HA!!!

Sheila, not kidding at all. Nurse said aches & pains would be hard to handle in arm or hip, but the belly fat helps to disperse, but no muscles to ache. Worked like a charm for me.

Welcome Jan-m! Good afternoon everyone. Ainm, still awake?

Hi Patoo - still here, our clocks jump forward by an hour tonight so I mustn't forget to fix my clock when I'm going to bed.
barb - I self administered and like Eph3 it was into the belly - nice and slow and it was never sore. However, like Seyla said you can get some aching in your bones a few days after the jab.
Well I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Good Night Meece, Patoo, Jo, Joni, Eph3, Seyla, barb, Jan-m (and welcome), Garfield!!!!

today was day4 not counting the day I had chemo. felt fatigued, blood pressure drop, and sore neck, achy, and 99% fever etc, all in all not to bad just not 100%. called the nurse she just said plenty of fluids, etc and talk to her in am when I Go for blood work . Also learned not to get constipated. don't know how it happened other than chemo caused it. I have been drinking so much water I slosh when I walk. And have been eating a high fiber diet. Oh Well!! I won't let it happen next time!!!!
I usually have the grand kids all week end and they aren't understanding all this so just had them in pm on Sunday. They were really good. I sure do miss them.
Got my buffs head wear in and I think I am really going to like them. Very light weight and easy to put on. I also got the uv protection.
Well going to bed and try to make up for sleep lost last night. So I'll just say Good Night All. and you know I am thinking of each an every one of you.

Good night everyone. Anyone got their earplugs in so I can sing them a lullaby?
0 -
Meece: If you sang me a lullabye I didn"t hear it. I was really bushed. Went in for blood work today. They may put me on antibiotics as my lymph nodes feel a little swollen. I don't feel sick tho. It depends on myblood work. Hope every one is well today. Well gotta go and raid the church pantry as it's another week until my sons Food stamps come in. And My disability is only a third of my wages. So things are a little slim around here. I can't qualify for Food Stamps. at $1000 a month I make to much. altho I pay my taxes. Oh well God will provide.
