TH I do e-mail my DC Rep & Sens but their positions are hard-wired and my voice will not budge them.
I find my local elected officials more accountable to the voters. Hard to avoid folks who live down the street. :-)

Gorgeous day here in Denver. It was chilly and needed a coat when I walked at 8:00 this morning, but by lunch time it was shirt sleeve weather. Supposed to be nice again tomorrow and Monday, cool off on Tuesday and then warm up again. Warmer than it should be in early March.
Can't believe the time changes next week. I love the days just before both time changes. I just wish Colorado would pick either daylight savings or standard time and stick with it. I DO NOT like the time changes. The older I get the harder it is on my body.
Sweet dreams!

Got the planned workout done.

Karen1956, I feel the same way about the time change. I live in the middle of Indiana and we change to daylight savings time in the summer, which is so unnatural for us because we are on the same time as NY and Boston (yet we are too far west). It stays light until 9:45 pm by the end of June, yet is too dark in the morning. I wish we would stay on the time we are right now. I feel healthier when the sun goes down by 8:30 at night and is light by 6:00 a.m. in the summer.

It looked like rain so got out early this morning for three laps around the park path.

It never rained, the sun came out, and I did another three laps. Have a great week ahead, everyone!

sweet-sorry for your loss.
Pat-that show was great; very funny!
Zumba yesterday. No exercise today. Back at it tomorrow.

i think they should adjust the time by half an hour and stick with it. Screws me up for weeks every time!

It was 60 degrees here today so I grabbed the grand-dog and took her for a long, fun walk in the park (tons of kids on bikes, other people walking dogs, pushing babies in strollers etc). The weather is supposed to take a turn back to winter tomorrow so I'm glad I got outside today.
Girl Scouts......yesterday I ate a whole box of their lemon drop cookies in solidarity with the organization
, and started a serious post-vacation diet today!0 -
Windy, windy, windy today so it means something is brewing!
Here is the link to the "letter" I told you about a few days ago. If it doesn't work, I'll try to post the whole letter here.

Thanks, Karen. That brought tears to my eyes. I hope everyone is always treated with such compassion as is presented in that letter.0

KB80, big congrats for a big milestone. Very nice letter, Karen.
Have been decluttering and moving stuff all weekend as painters are coming in two weeks. Rainy here today. Body Jam tonight.

25 minute walk today.
Heidi we have been painting our bedroom too. It is a good chance to get everything clean and decluttered! One room at a time for me.

Yoga & some time on the dreadmill. We got your high winds, Karen. There are howling winds here, heavy snow north of us, and tornado warnings to the southeast. Yikes!

Working out tonight

Hi all! Oh, boy! I better get back on here and get some motivation to do more exercise! I am blaming Arimidex for my weight gain!!!! But, I do not like it! I have always had a small waistline and flat tummy, but, really, having been on Arimidex, it is growing! Anyone else????
I am doing my Walk Away the Pounds class twice a week and have added a step class and a strength and tone class. Last Friday, attempted a hula hoop class! I amazed myself that I could actually do it!!! A great workout. So, maybe, if I keep this up (and stay away from the peanut m & m's), my middle will widdle! Ha Ha
Everyone have a great week......gorgeous weather here in Florida!!!

Cold weather is back here too - at the cabin this weekend the lows got into the teens! I think it seems worse because of the tease of warmer temps we had last week. As Karen says, crazy weather.
Mysunshine - I feel your pain on the AI weight gain. After being off letrozole for three years, I went back on in September because new genomic testing showed I was at a high risk of recurrence. And I'm up 10 pounds since I went back on. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
Strength/flexibility class yesterday. Getting ready to head to the gym now. If I get ambitious I may tackle the linen closet when I get back and do some decluttering. I have a feeling that we have sheets in there for beds that we got rid of when we downsized two years ago.

Never made it to the fitness center. Instead, I decided to test my healing tendon with an actual outside run instead. Only did a 20 minute run as I didn't want to push it, but the ankle seems to have held up well. It felt good getting back out there!

Local news now and immediately after, the workout

45 minutes on the treadmill & 45 minutes of toning with Denise Austin. The wind is blowing at 45 mph with gusts to 60. Horrid!!!!

Did 30 minutes of yoga before dinner. 6 years ago, I became a certified yoga teacher. I was teaching a lot of eighth grade English and an afternoon or two of yoga. Guess which was more fun? Jk- I love them both, but the yoga was less stressful. Now, I am lucky to get a few surya namaskars in a week. But I'm working on changing that, thanks to the encouragement of y'all. Ruth, did you find time to exercise when you were teaching full time?

It was more tricky to get the exercise in, that is for sure. I rarely could make a class work (when I was single & teaching it was fine, but once I added a family to the mix......yikes!). We have a treadmill (for our LONG winters) and I have stacks of exercise DVDs which I did pretty religiously at odd hours of the early morning or late evening. That is why I am so thrilled to be back to classes. Although......

45 minutes body sculpt which was an absolute lower body killer workout. Needless to say the 30 minute treadmill workout that followed was all brisk walk. Tried to run but my wobbly legs only lasted 60 seconds.
Sleep well my sculpted sisters

We have the wind here too. I got out at lunch for a walk because it was sunny but very windy.
Night all.

Lots of reports of spring weather with the same here with drizzle - pissing down as it's called here. Need to take son into town for the highspeed train into London so he can catch a train to Nottingham and then a bus to Loughborough University for a interview. Getting into uni here is vastly different than how it works in the US. He will have no idea as to where he is going to end up studying at until mid-August - strange system to me and apparently to no one else. Been busy with working on our pink ribbon fundraiser in July and pilates course, heading into last practical weekend in a few weeks. I'm off to throw on clothes, drive to said train station to dispatch son and then tai chi. Happy hump day everyone!

hi all, was sidelined Monday with a wicked headache so stayed home and vegged out on the couch. Several co-workers said the same thing, maybe barometric pressure from storm front moving in. Crazy windy here too. Got to the Capitol at noon yesterday. Met a friend who is having some life troubles and we walked & talked for almost an hour. Oops, that was a long lunch break. :-) 16,430 steps = 7.77 miles for the day.

Did 5 plus miles yesterday. Today will be the "hospital run". My daughter is being induced today and I will be on the sidelines running wherever they need me to. I'm usually front row helping in the delivery room but due to BC I won't be there. I hate BC even more today than I did yesterday. I was afraid of BC now I HATE Iit!
This is my daughter having her first daughter so it hurts alot.....both the boys I was the second person to hold them. Lift her up today for easy quick delivery. Thank you ladies#
