Teka, I plan to ask my onc on the 22nd about my shots. My DH got his two weeks ago. I want my belly to stay settled and this allergy/med/whatever cough to settle too before I get mine. I cough with every exertion but my chest is clear.

Beautiful Colorado weather today and should be tomorrow, but by Thursday we are supposed to have a high of 48 and a low of 29° so I need to enjoy it while we can.

I pray everyone has a good week.

    Hi dear sisters,

I wasn't able to go to church again yesterday. I haven't slept well for several days and I just needed to stay home. I slept off and on all day. We are having summer like temps and the ragweed is high so I am not sure at this point if my issues are allergy or not. I still haven't got my vaccines yet.

Cheryl, that is I hope good news for your husband. Smart to schedule your vaccines when nothing important is happening afterwards.

Chris, we are to hit 86 here today. Just really strange weather but I welcome the summer even if it is for a few days only. I didn't realize you had a cough. I pray that it will clear soon. I was thinking you had a few good days without your chemo but it sounds like you haven't. I just talked to my neighbor across the street and her husbsand has Covid now. They are going to be moving and I really am going to hate to see them go.

Teka, glad you got your shots. I ususally get my flu shot and then later get my Covid. I have possible lyphedema in my left arm so that is alwasy off limits. My therapist was never able to give me a diffinative diagnosis so I use my sleeve when doing anything strenuous. I flew with it for the first time and I had no problems.

I hope everyone is doing okay. Wheatfields and Hershey, I imagine you are both going through some dental work soon. Praying for that.

Praying for all of you and thank you for your prayers.

    Love,

    Nancy

A school day in America should not include a mass shooting. 🙏

    tw4444,

Welcome to the group, though it’s one non of us ever expected or wanted to be a part of. I was diagnosed in April; lumpectomy, 4 weeks of radiation followed by Letrozole and Kisqali. I’m on hold on the Kisqali after one course because of chest pain and irregular heartbeat. I see the cardiologist next week and we’ll see where it goes from there.

My faith and my family have gotten me through this. I’m in God’s hands. This group has also been a Godsend. 🙏

    Congratulations on your new granddaughter. I have 3 - age 8, 2 and 1 🤗

@tw4444 tw4444 Welcome to our group and congratulations on the birth of your grandchild. I have four - ages 12, 11, 9 and 7. I was diagnosed stage IV from the beginning, de novo, in May 2016 so I have been walking this path for 10 1/2 years. It is different for each of us. Through all that time God has sent me many blessings and His presence gets me through. Please feel free to ask any questions, or rant and rave any emotions. We support each other here.

    Blessings

TW4444 Welcome to this thread. I have found that so much of my life has been dealing with great things and difficult things all at the same time. Your situation seems to fall into that category. The Lord will get through this. He will be right by your side as you speak to your oncologist, your surgeon, during your treatments and during your flucuating emotions. He will be right by your side when you are able to spend time with your precious granddaughter.

We have a wonderful community here of sharing hard things, being open about our emotions when dealing with cancer and lifting up each other and praying for one another. We love to answer questions and BCO in general is a great resource for all thing breast cancer related.

    Love,

    Nancy
