I've seen a triple yolk egg. I also stopped eating the eggs my hens lay when I cracked one into the frying pan and it was fertilized. Gross.

I've added photos to the Iceland album. It's from today's glacier walk and waterfalls visit. I'm quite pleased that I got through it... figured my knee would give out or my joints start to ache. But I made it through! Guess I'm finally moving beyond most of the post chemo related aches and pains.

The trek on the glacier was quite interesting. There were a lot of holes and crevasses that you could have slid down into if you weren't paying attention and listening to your guide. Luckily, we did both!

I don't have any of the places identified.... the names up here (not to mention the spellings) are enough to make your head spin!

I was wondering about that "Five" movie.  Is it one 2 hour movie with 3 different stories or is it a series of 3 different shows?  I couldn't figure it out from their schedule and I haven't had time to watch it yet.

Swanny it's five different short stories and hopefully you  catch between tonight and tomorrow. It's just starting here.

Bak hoping your feeling well and sad to hear about your hen as I hate it when my pets and animals die. More especially when I feel like I missed something that might have caused them to suffer. Are you other hens laying eggs with pink ribbons on them? They must go for a lot of money? That's gotta be so hard on the hen.

Looks like you might be a little cold there Heidi. Sweeeeet trip.

jazz- Actually, Iceland, being an island, is warmed by the Gulf Stream, so it's not as cold as one might expect.

However, the weather changes like crazy, and while we were on the glacier we had wind, rain, sleet and hail, in addition to sunny skies. Luckily, the majority of it was the latter because it IS cold when the wind/sleet whips up.

I was wearing hiking boots 2 sizes too big for me (they were my sons) and I had big woolen socks and foot warmers in them. Even so, I had to be careful not to slip despite the crampons. No crevasse entry for moi!

Heidi. That sounds amazing. Iceland has always been on my husbands top ten places he'd like to visit. I think I'd love to go hiking on a glacier.

Heidi, I love going to Iceland..have been twice. Stayed in rooms above the bookstore in Reykeavick ( bad spelling)...loved going to the glaciers  and hot springs and looking at all that lunar landscape. Would like to do the perimeter and see Northern Iceland. Don't you love that they leave their babies outside in carriages when they shop...how ncie to feel so safe. Your pics are great. Drank lots of kefir while I was there.

Suze35....hope things go better at DF. I switched to MGH becuase of my troubles with Mt. Auburn and I am feeling much better about my care. I know that although they might be frustrating you will advocate all you can for yourself.

LJ...hugs and missing you here. Big hugs.

Titan those pics were amazing....my daughter recently gave me the CD's to copy from her wedding in July...will have to psot a pic.

Must get ready for an open house now. HAve to take the kitty with me....2 1/2 hours and a cat in the car...husband is workin today...already at work so I must do my thing to get all ready...looks good as we have been working like crazy to get it ready....this on top  of rads andchemo so I must have some energy. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Heidi- Definitely stay out of the crevasses. It would make it very difficult to share your trip with us. You are really exercising there aren't you. Walking and climbing and with the added weights of the proper clothing to go along with it. Bet your cheeks are rosy and your skin tighter than a 4 year old. Your really moving around from one place to another. I hope your taking care of yourself and today is better than yesterday. I have to ask about the pic with the rainbow in it. There appears to be something falling all around you and was wondering if it was snow or rain or do you just have a lot of angels (orbs) following you around. : )

Bak- I hope your feeling better today and your treatment hasn't got you down too much. There are just some people who shouldn't have gotten into the medical hands on side of things. I had a friend who used to say, "Some Doctors and Nurses pulled C minuses and still got there degrees. LOL. There are times that truth becomes a reality, and it's always great to discover someone is there in the wing to help out. Gives you a sense of security. Glad things worked out for you and they ended are a better note than when you first got there.

Painting - here's hoping you sell quickly after all your hard work. In todays housing market it can be stressful. Much luck.

I wondered how those poor hens dropped those hard eggs as small as the hen is and as large as the egg is. So glad they come out soft for the hens sake.

Watched "Five" and really enjoyed the variety in the movie, and how they pulled it together with the wall and the set of pearls. Very enjoyable and yes found myself as with OBXK weeping at moments. It was more so where the mother's were sharing with their children. Glad I watched it as I had debated with myself.

Hope everyones day goes well and you all feel good and have some sweet things happen through your day.

jazz- that rainbow pic was shot during one of the periods of sleet during the bus ride. About five minutes later, when we were being fitted for our crampons, it changed to hail. Luckily, it was mostly sunny while we were on the glacier. I'm finding Icelandic weather to be very fickle.

BTW, I put more photos up today. Same link as before. Tomorrow we are riding Icelandic horses and it's supposed to be very windy. We bought MacFry a hat with earflaps so he doesn't get airborn on the ride. Seriously, we did!

I'm going to check LJ's facebook, to see if she's had any activity there.

    NO activity since Oct. 6th...

    Some humor:

     Confucius did NOT say.....

Man who wants pretty nurse must be patient

Passionate kiss, like spider web, lead to undoing of fly

Better to be pissed off than pissed on.

Lady who go camping must beware of evil intent.

Squirrel who run up woman's leg will not find nuts.

Man who leap off cliff jump to conclusion.

Man who run in front of car get tired, man who run behind car get exhausted.

Man who eat many prunes get good run for money.

War does not determine who is right, it determine who is left.

Man who fight with wife all day get no piece at night.

It take many nails to build a crib, but one screw to fill it.

Man who drive like hell is bound to get there.

Man who stand on toilet is high on pot.

Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement.

Man who fish in other man's well often catch crabs.

Finally CONFUCIUS DID NOT SAY. . .

sharing my story, my younger sister was diagnosted with breast cancer at 33, she took it very hard, i can remember taking care of her and going to her chemo treatments with her, it was hard for me to see her so down. but i would make her laugh and try to spoil her.it was a long road for her but she made it through, thank you god. then 3 yrs later jan. 3, 2007 i had gastric bypass surgery, and everything went fine. i lost alot of weight, and in nov. 2007 i was putting my tshirt on and found a lump, so i immedtly called the dr. he did a needle biopsy in the office on nov. 17, 2007 . it seemed like forever to get the results back, i went to see dr. nov.27, 2007 and he told me it was cancer, and he set up the surgery dates. it was hard to tell my husband and family because i didnt want them to worry and my husband just had a sixtuplet bypass surgery in oct. of 2006. but i told them dont worry i will be fine, i have god and all of you we will get through it. i also told them i was not going to let cancer control my life i was going to control it. i tried to work while i was going through chemo, but that didnt work too good, i went through 2 treatment, then i ended up in hosp. for 5 days cause i am a hard head, my white blood cells were very low.so after that i stayed out of work till i was done with treatment, i can remeber one of the things about doing chemo was there were many people there having treatment too. and they had different types of cancer, so the treatment medicine was different colors, i can remember the one lady and i would joke and say here comes your smurf juice and her comes my red gogo juice lol. it helped us get through it. i was tested for BRAC and it came back no marker thank God.it will be 4 years on nov. 27,2011 and i thank god everyday. and i also am going to start college in the spring for radiation tech. so i can help other people in our shoes

Faith, I was a knothead, too. I ended up in the hospital after my 2nd chemo with anemia and dehydration. Got a couple pints of blood and a few days on an IV, and got out of the hospital just in time for my next chemo. And I was happy I didn't have to delay treatment. I stayed out of work until I got done with everything. Thank goodness I had paid for disability insurance! We find out how tough and stubborn we are, going through something like this, don't we? Glad you and your sister are doing well!

    Morning Ladies,

I'm 3 weeks PFC today.  I thought I had done pretty well thru chemo but decided over the weekend it was time to get back on the eliptical.  Well, I used to do an hour plus 3 nights a week, I got on and could only do 15 min and had to break twice!  Then, we're re-doing our living room a little and painted yesterday.  I could barely get out of bed this morning, I don't think there's a part of me that isn't stiff or sore.  I hope this goes away quickly, I feel like I've aged 30 years.

Kay-Ce, just totally uncalled for! I would also have to be thinking about a new doctor.

Jazz, as a nurse, I gotta tell you the ones to look out for are the ones who got all A's. The C minus ones are smart enough to realize they don't know it all, lol.

Teka, they can only send records if you request they do.

Heidi, great pictures. Gotta ask, whats with the pink elephant????

Saw Five, and it was very good. When you see the scene at the funeral, where she lights up the cigarette, you've met my psychic twin, lol. My girlfriends fell over laughing ant pointing the finger at me.

    Happy home sales Painting.

Thank you so much for sharing Faith.

Healing thoughts to Suze and LJ, and of course to everyone else!

Laurajane, I hope the Halaven is helping.  Just know we are all thinking of you!

McCrimmon, I smoked for several years as a teenager/young adult but quit in 1984. I am 50 now.

Best thing that happened to me this weekend - did dog transport and took 2 dogs one hour closer to their new home.  They came from a shelter in GA and have traveled all the way to a rescue in Ontario.  The weather was beautiful; the dogs rode well - it was a lot of fun.
