Kimberleyann - so sorry about your mom, and that she is so far away from you.  That makes it really tough.  In my opinion, your mom will need you more during chemo, if she is going to do it.  I'm not so sure I'd want my mom to do Adriamycin, though, at that age.  This is a tough call and a situation where a second opinion might be a good idea.  I would be sure to ask the oncologist how much benefit your mom gets from doing various chemo protocols.

    Hugs,

    Michelle

May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer."

There's more, much more, to Christmas than candlelight and cheer; it's the spirit of sweet friendship that brightens all the year. It is thoughtfulness and kindness, it is hope reborn again, for peace, for understanding and goodwill to all women!

Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas
    Lots of love

I'm newly diagnosed TN and still have lots of questions. I've seen some women say they are a percentage (i.e., 3%) ER+. Where is that information? On the pathology report??

Char- it wasn't listed on my path report. it was in my doctor's notes. He told me. Just ask your dr. for the results.

Thanks TifJ. I'll do that. I meet my MO on 1/4 - hopefully she'll have that info since I'm not due to see my BS for 4 months. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Kimberleyann,  it can be helpful to have someone to take notes and listen as a doctor explains the disease and treatment options. It is such overwhelming news that we are partially in shock, making it difficult to process words and information. When my mother was diagnosed with lymphoma (23 healthy years ago) I went with her and took notes. This proved important later when we had to make decisions.

Alternately to flying down, maybe you could have a telephone conference with the doctor?

I'm sure you feel frustated and helpless, and scared. I'm sending you love and good wishes.

I would like to wish each and every one of you a Very Merry Christmas and a wonderful Happy Holidays.  I hope you each find this time to be the most healing, most peaceful and inspirational, even if you are going through treatment or testing challenges, as I know we are very strong women, each one of us to be battling or having battled this disease.  The energy is great at this time in the world everywhere as most humans do get humble, so I hope we can grab this energy to heal.  My best wishes for all of you most wonderful and strong women.  Best Wishes for the best new year 2012.

Thought you guys might get a kick out of what happens when you set pet gifts out a bit too early. Hubby witnessed a bag with a tail go flying by @ 5 a.m. this morning. I awoke to a cat lying next to me with the handle of a bag wrapped around his neck. The bag contents were scattered throughout the house. The cats eyes were all glazed. Apparently, Canadian catnip is nuclear grade...

KS, I'm so happy for you!

Heidi. You brought back fond memories of a similar episode. We kept the cat's present in the freezer after that year.

    Wishing everyone wonderful holidays!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all. I hope everyone enjoys their time with family and friends. Last year at this time I was one week away from my last chemo treatment. What a difference a year makes! Life is good!

This is the guilty feline. You can tell by her eyes that she's high on catnip...

    Never a dull moment!

HeidiToo - thank you for this picture. I cracked up!!  There must be something in the air (besides the catnip). Mine has been running around the house like a nut today, meowing, zipping to his water bowl and then to the bathroom sink (where he likes to drink). Maybe they all know Santa Claws is on his way!

Merry Christmas everyone!  and a wish for GOOD HEALTH for everyone NOW and in the future.

My son (home from school)..had a Christmas Party last night (my dh and I went out of town for a few hours and when we got home there was party going on..)...amazing how fast they can spread the word that the parents are away..anyway...our cats are still freaked out about the company...they have been laying low.

We did stay up with the kids until 3:00 in the morning...wow..haven't done that for awhile.
