    Usually make something for lunch and save leftovers for dinnertime...unless there's not much left.  Still prefer a bowl of cereal or can of northern beans for lunch.

    The next person has at least one bad "vice" he/she is giving up come Jan 1st.

    going to someone's home for cards and dinner.....nice quiet old phartz evening.

    have a tradtional "good luck food" you eat on NYE or don't bother with it

    (we always eat herring....whether it works or not is debateable Tongue out)

    Poker....I have no idea how to play pinochle (or bridge) b ut perhaps I'll learn one day.  I guess I don't have anyone around who plays that.  We all seem to favor gin.

    Cruise the Pacific Highway......we once took 3 days and  drove from SF to LA - breathtakingly beautiful...I'd love to start up in WA and go all the way down.  Buckey List.
