Purple, they were just the open fingered isotoner gloves. Can't afford a real set. I took them off when I stopped, but fingers are still warm and stiff. Who knows what is up. I only have one more appt left with LE T. DH says we run out of money on Christmas and will most probably go bankrupt. Guess this means I will be on my own.. LE T says I can call him any time and will advise me. Very nice man.

Hugz--Sooo funny.  If that guy has a scarf on he is open season to anyone who catches that scarf!  James has his on in the video!!

Gma--Keep at it slowly.  It does get easier later.

Lol at the thought of us doing a Lebed tape.  I have the perfect scarf and have always had VERY expressive facial expressions.  It would be a scream.  And hey, belly laughing is great for LE.

    Gma - I'm so sorry about the possible bankruptcy.  But do that if you need to - that's why we have those laws.  It's a chance to get out from under and start fresh.  If you're at that point, the sooner you do it, the sooner you can start rebuilding.  Meanwhile, we're all here for you.  {{{{hugs}}}}

My personal un-favorite on the Lebed tape is the woman in the second row on the left who keeps yapping about stuff, but since she's not miked you can't hear most of what she says and it's just distracting. I do hear one annoying thing though: "DANCING!!!!"  Sealed

Nats, she's most annoying to me, too.  I suspect we get particularly annoyed because we watch it so often.  I often mute the audio and follow along via glances at the video, as I watch the news.

    hahahahahah!
Wouldnt it be fun, Marple ?!Sealed

I am a 'scarf collector' of sorts- wear one almost every day. I could supply all of us with something, I'm sure.

Hey, maybe we can do our own version with the tai chi breather and other moves we have found helpful , and get it copyrighted ( dont let me get too carried away-I have copyrighted things before !)  My husband is a fabulous ' sound guy" and I can assure you we would have no ' mumble dancing' in the BG, Natsfan : )  Yes, that does bug me as well because I find myself trying to hear her comments and cannot.

My DH can provide live music as well too.

Ok, so it's decided - I will wear my onyx crystal lymphediva with a red boa , a short sleeve black T and some blk pants.Surprised

Hey, maybe Josh could suit us all in Lymphediva sleeves and sponsor us !  The Lebed video was sponsored by JUZO. ( Why did they allow that mumble in the BG?!  :)

Carol57 Where are you ?  You could do a little weightlifting segment on the side toward the end  with some written info under it about PAL guidelines.

Naturally, we will have a disclaimer and all proceeds would go to help with LE.

    OKay...who lives in New England?

LOL NatsFan - Yes what the heck did she say! Anyone know... BTW so far there is no way I can blow bubbles and dance at the same time LOL... And how many of those ladies are wearing sleeves??? Guess they can have stocking on and it is lower, not arms... I still like the idea of all of us together and get our scarfs on... I will like to be part of that!

Purple, I'm in Michigan, but one great benefit of my crazy job is that I am loaded with frequent-flyer miles!  So if we ever do have a lymphedema jamboree...I'm in, no matter where it happens!  And I think our video should include a segment where we have a gym full of women bouncing on stability balls, punching fists in the air.

Wow, Just trying to catch up with your posts since I posted yesterday. My lebed boyfriend did cause such a stirSurprised

First things first. NO ONE IS MOVING IN ON MY MAN ,James,Kiss . Cause if you do.... I also wear scarfs frequently and I will use them to wrap up all my competition and stick you gals on the top of the space needle with all the" doctors in denial" that are already up there wrapped together in our old bandages!" Carol will help me,seeing that she was in on putting the "docs in denial" up there in the first place last spring.Wink

Becky. Regarding who gets James by throwing a scarf and seeing who catches it....Id like to remind you that my Jamezee babe is not a bride throwing a bouquet! He's my boyfriendTongue Out and stop horning in.

Ivtwoqit. So you want to get a Lebed video so you can watch my man. Well I am the jealous type and so I just hoarded all the last dvd's with him in it. I won't have you watching my guy, let alone moving with him.... no siree! Find you own, there are plenty of fish in the seaTongue Out

Purple, Ok the Making of a DVD: Sounds like a gas! Will have to think about it. Keep the ideas coming.

    Keep the ideas coming.

OK, we have to be fresh, original and at all times, helpful informative educational and I'll say it- FUN!

There are many different (NON LE) exercise DVDs out there.  Some are somewhat alike, yet all are difefrent . We avoid the carbon copy.  We do not care to copy anyhow.

We collborate on our own ideas of what moves have helped us . ( Maybe create a thread for this ?) and also, I would like to see them DRINKING WATER in the video.  I would like to see everyone in a  sleeve and hand protection ( ALL REAL please)

NO, we certainly dont blow bubbles, but we use can do diaphraghmatic breathing and the tai chi breathers. We can do slow gentle stretching, perhaps we could do a segment <at the end ?>  lying on the floor with one arm up slowly squeezing our hands 10 times overhead. There ARE things we have learned and NOT copied.

    Let's gather them, ladies !

As for James, you win. Wink

I would love to see that Cindyl!  and maybe a little rebounding too.

In all seriousness, I am thinking perhaps we should be PM'ing- as much fun as this is - to get our ideas compiled without anyone snaking any of them their way.

I'd be happy to make the list if anyone wants to PM and or brainstorm that way.

Purple--I am in TN but I can make it to New England anytime!

You all are so funny!  If we did all of your suggestions that would be some video.  Are we throwing in Binney's corks?  I hope no one hangs themself on their scarf!  You can take training in Lebed online or on site.  Sherry Lebed would probably have a laughing fit if she saw all of our comments!

    C'mon down, Becky !

What all began tongue in cheek is starting to take shape.

I certainly wouldnt want to take Lebed training and make a 'copy' of Sherry's DVD. I am really talking of putting together our very own ideas- the things that work for us , in order to help others. It would be nice to have lots of DVDs out there to choose from just as we all want many sleeve and therapst options.

    Wouldnt that be great ?!

Too late Hugs, I ordered the video right after I posted yesterday!

Becky, I can come up I-40 and pick you up in my hamster car (Kia Soul) and head to NJ! I love a road trip, as long as it isn't in my husband's semi. I even have a peach colored satin scarf I got from 'Elvis' in Pigeon Forge in October.

sounds fun - by NJ is just toooooo far away, though I have someone to stay with there :-).

You ok gma, we've been there, actually seems that we're always teetering on that edge.  Hope it works out.

Got my Juzo custom one piece sleeve with glove, it's wonderful.  I wore for about 6 hours after I got it yesterday, and the swelling in my hand and harm was down by the time I took it off, quite a bit too.  Calling them today to order more before the end of the year.  I was worried about the a one piece with glove thing, but did a bunch of cooking with a plastic glove over and it was just fine!!!  All I have to do is remember to put a protective glove on when I do things.  Happy, happy, happy!

If there are ppl who are interested in this DVD project (which may or may not come to fruition)

PLEASE PM me any ideas you have , even it it is only one.  Mull it over. What works for YOU ?
Even if you cant travel, you can be a part of this !  I will keep in touch with Josh after the holidays , and see if this is really feasible or not. I have already contacted him, and he is open.

I am starting to compile our list of great movements and exercises  . I'm not sure it's wise to list them all publicly just yet.

Get the ideas flowing and be sure to TRY THEM OUT! It will be good for ALL of us - even you ! Wink
