I just survived a 3 night business trip with a major flare-up in process. I'm really starting to think I have LESS of a flare-up when I don't wear sleeves or any kind of compression again at all. I drank gallons of water but can't spend my whole trip in the ladies room. The wardrobe dilemmas are absolutely ridiculous. I have my worst flare-ups during business travel more than any other time. The combination of lost sleep, poor elimination, inflammation from restaurant food and wine is just the worst. Airline travel is probably a factor but I have had the same issue when I've been on business road trips.  Also on biz trips I tend to drink more coffee to deal with all of the above. We are seriously challenged with this crap!

I got great news today.  Nodule was benign.  Now to heal.  So far little swelling.  What is swollen is under my arm and just up the pec muscle.  Stitches come out Thursday!

Think I will celebrate tonight with a treat.  Hope everybody is doing well.

I'm making a serious commitment to myself to lose this extra weight I am carrying. It is really making my LE worse. I'm also taking staying regular as seriously as possible as that one factor really impacts my swelling day to day. My flow needs to be flowing.

Awe girls, I so feel for you. Just this week, my truncal presented in front of my armpit instead of the usual backpit. What's with that?????? When I walked it tamed it down so I guess I gotta get the lead out and keep on truckin.

Maria, so your saying that you need to be cleaned out to control swelling. I would have never known that. Thanks for the heads up! See we each get to know our bodies and what stupid things they do. For instance I found out that if I press my back up against a high back chair too long, then my backpit flares. What next ughhhhhhh, Just going to grrr here a bit to support my le'ers, Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Grrrrrrrrrrrr, Grrrrrrr.m

Yah I gained weight a to. Maybe that is why I have a front pit flare.    Dang, dang dang.

    yay Kitty !

In 9 days, I go in to see a plastic surgeon for a consult about a breast reduction for my nerve pain in breast, neck, clavicle and shoulders. I have done lots of research. It should help. I'm traveling out of my little town for this one. Getting nervous. Hope the LE doesn't get worse.

lymph nodes get backed up when the colon is backed up so I'm working on better "clearance" with diet, water and veggie powder supplements

    Hello,

I am a regular poster on the  0lder Christian women's thread and we on the  thread were very close to Milehighgirl or Sue. Sue has been struggling with  lymphodema for a long while. We last had contact with her weeks ago with no answer at her home. She last notified us that she was in the hospital again. Our ladies have been searching for her and finally found out Friday that she has gone on to be with our Lord on September 23. She was a dear person and always willing to give helpful tips and suggestions. I know that she did post on this thread and thought you would want to know.

Terrible to hear of this sad loss. I looked at her posts and she seemed like a bright spirit and a great member of this online community.

Great great news, KittyDog! I hope you are able to take a breather now.

I went for a massage on Saturday focused on my congestion and my arm actually did get a bit better and has stayed a bit better for a couple of days. I've also started drinking about a quart of water as soon as I get out of bed in the morning for the past few days and I do believe that is helping too. I did my arm strength training last night despite being in a seriously foul mood because I'm taking this stuff seriously.

Tragic every time we lose a sister who fought so hard and was so kind in her support on this board - never only posting about herself and always offering support.

Has anybody every had experience with a mini-trampoline? I've read about people who've had success with reducing their lymphedema by gentle bouncing. Something about the pull of gravity and getting the system all stirred up.

Anyway - I just had mine delivered so as soon as I can set it up and start bouncing - I'll let you know.

There are several people on here who use them.  I haven't tried one yet, but I'm sure someone will report in soon.

Hi all, FM. Truncal and left arm/hand LE as well. sucks. big time. And no one really understands except our sisters in here. My hubby is great, wraps me every night. I couldn't do it without him. I had 20 lymph nodes removed. 2 positive. Chemo/Rads, and doc said with all that  I was destined to get LE. The last therapist I went to for a checkup for my LE, I told her I was getting alot of pain in my arm. She said, and I quote, "once you get LE, you don't have pain associated with it anymore" OH really????!?!? My arm hurts all the damn time from one day to the next. My LE is under control, meaning it isn't getting any bigger, but the fluid traveling up and down my arm between wrapping HURTS. She was an idiot. NEVER going back to her.   At the end of a few hours of not having my hand in a glove or wrapped and I just look at my little sausage fingers and sigh.
