Natalie’ Eye lashes are 50% back and eye brows are slowly coming back but light as well. The hair on her head is growing pretty quickly but light and fuzzy. We do Taxol #9 tomorrow.

MIghtlybird and jrominger: thank you so much for your replys. Once upon a time I would have never thought about eyelashes and eyebrows. Funny how the little things mean so much when you are on this road. I have taxol 11 on Thursday.. Hope Nats infusion goes well. We will all soon be done with this. :)

Hey Ingerp. Sounds like you had a great time at Disney. You look great! I really like your hair.

Notdefined, it's nice to hear that you are relatively well. Enjoy your kids and their soccer games!

Martaj, I hope your biopsy went well yesterday, the tumor is shrinking and your rash is better.

DogMomRunner, I'm pretty good, thank you. Keep healing from chemo and no SE from your upcoming rads, OK?

Mpv459, I have a few new eyebrow hairs, but they are still sparse. I have several lashes growing. My hair is between a quarter of an inch to half an inch everywhere. It's growing fast and thick, thankfully.

    Hi Jrominger and Nat!

#11 for me on Friday. Bring it on.

Hey everyone - Just a quick check-in. Completed my 11th Taxol infusion on Tuesday! Counting-down the days til I have my 12th and final infusion. My eyebrows are falling-out, my face is swollen from the roids, and I’m having acne on my face along with a red rash on my checks. Nose hairs gone. Constant stuffy nose. Still trying to stay somewhat active. I do housework everyday and take the dog on a walk when it’s not too hot. Yesterday was our little chocolate toy schnauzer’s first birthday and I actually made a microwave cake for her to celebrate. 😂🐶🎂 We don’t have grandchildren, so it’s a natural extension of that.

Mpv, happy, jr, mightly - we are all in the home stretch! Let’s do this and never look back! 💪🏼👏💪🏼👏

Just popped in to see how everyone is doing! It has been one month and a few days since my last Taxol. I am feeling so much better these days. Less fatigue, no more nose bleeds! I am going in next week for my second dose of the every 3 week Herceptin. The first solo dose of Herceptin was not so good. I spent an hour the next day just vomiting. It was strange since I had no nausea or vomiting the entire 12 rounds of weekly Taxol and Herceptin the entire summer. Of course it was a loading dose of Herceptin, so who knows. I am scheduled to have a double MX Oct. 3. Have chose this since I really did not want to go thru radiation. Had a mammogram last week and it was completely clear! I was excited to get some good news!

DogMomRunner—I think I have the same problem as you...my eyebrows and lashes have started to thin post Taxol. Hair growing on top of head, but eyebrows are super thin and missing about half on the left side.

Ingerp—Love the hair. Can’t wait until I have that much! You look great!!

StAuggie—I am a believer that taxol messes with your emotions. I would have emotional breakdown usually on day 3 and 4. I still have moments of anxiety and some occasional emotional times, but definitely a change from during Taxol.

jrominger—glad to hear how well Nat is doing. I try to walk almost everyday at least 30 minutes or longer. Helps the mind as well.

HappyAnyway, Martaj, Divergent, mpv459, ipenelope, notdedined, DogMomRunner, etc.—I was so glad to see you all still posting/checking in on this site. You ladies rock!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend ahead and will check in on all again!

Martaj, I am on the same dosing schedule as you. Except I don't get the carboplatin. I had taxol #9 today and feeling pretty good aside from the fatigue. I looked up your clinical trial drug and it has the same target as mine- PD-L1. I hope we are both getting the drug and that it helps! I wish everyone else luck in their journey too! It really sucks to have to go through this but thanks to all for your posts. It really has helped me get through this.

    Hi everyone,

Good news, my ultrasound breast biopsy for clinical trial showed no more tumor!!!! This sucker was 2x3cm 7 weeks ago, The chief of radiology for breast cancer couldn't believe it. They did biopsy near where markers were placed. Blood work still okay, Funky rash on extremities fading. Sores on scalp less itchy. ( new steroid cream). # 7 Taxol, with carboplatin and trial drug/placebo tomorrow. Will be a long day at infusion center. Saw oncologist, very pleased with progress, and the fact that tumor is no longer there. Still can feel nodes though. There is hope exp because I have triple neg breast cancer. I have noticed my affected breast is smaller/ not so full feeling. So I feel things are moving in the right direction. I love reading everyone's posts. Hang in there folks.

    Hi jrominger,

I'm on clinical double blind study of drug Atezolizumbab/placebo every 3 weeks along with Taxol weekly and carboplatin every 3 weeks. # 7 today only 5 more of taxol and carboplatin and then AC for 4 doses. I will be on trial drug every 3 weeks for a year of start date. Atezolizumbab has already been approved for many other cancers but not triple neg as of yet. The drug has shown promising results with breast cancer. Hate chemo but the fact my tumor is gone is big. So off to infusion shortly. Thanks all for support and encouraging words. The study is known as NSABP B-59/GBG 96-GeparDouze. NIH has whole study on line, It is given as neoadjuvant therapy and adjuvant therapy. Thanks Marta

Popping in to check on everyone- Marta, that news is incredible! I hope you danced on a table over the disappearance of your tumor! I am so so happy for you. ipenelope, you are a warrior! I so appreciate your encouragement. Wheatscapes, ah, the nose hair! I'm also missing my eyebrows and nose hairs something fierce. My eyelashes are growing a bit, though, so I won't complain too much. I just had #11 yesterday, so I'm right behind you.

My counts have actually risen quite well in the last couple of treatments, so I'm on track for #12. Can't wait to ring that bell next week! Now if my hair will just grow... I'm getting the fuzzies AROUND my head, but the top is just smooth. I'm scared I'm going to start looking like a follically-challenged middle aged man. :P So I've started wearing a wig. It's weird to see myself with hair!

I also had my PS consult this week. I'll be getting my DMx with DIEP reconstruction on 10/28! Next week, I'll be getting a mammo or ultrasound to check the tumor. I hope I get good news there. The MO can't really find it anymore, so that's amazing, because that sucker was 3.3 cm.

Keep up the fight, ladies. You inspire me more than you'll ever know.

Hi everyone! I'm officially a month out of Taxol and feel better each day. My only SE right now are the eyelashes/eye problems. So hopefully everyone finishing up will have minimal cumulative SE.

Thanks for the encouragement ingerp. I hope that I follow a similar path with the rads that you did.

Hi HappyAnyway! I hope #11 went well!

Hi Wheatscapes! Congrats on completing #11!

Hi ByUmom2! I got my second 3 week Herceptin and had no problem with it. I'm sorry that the first one was rough. I guess the whole idea that the targeted therapy drugs are easy doesn't always hold true. Good luck on October 3rd!

    Hi Martaj- wonderful news!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! :)

    Hi everyone,

Love the face book picture ipenolope! So true. Palmette, I have no nose hairs so my nose drips constantly. Oh well, whats another side effect!!! Flo86, my liver enzymes where elevated also. Check the medications you take such as cholesteral meds. I was on simvastatin and that also causes elevation in liver enzymes, So I'm off it until treatment over and my liver enzymes went back to normal. I also used to drink wine daily. No longer do that, can't taste it anyways so why bother. Happy Sunday everyone. Absolutely going to be a beautiful day here on the coast line of Rhode Island. I actually slept most of night last night. Not like my usual getting up at 3 or 4 am, due to steroids given pre infusion. Have a great day

Yay DogMom for being done!! Congratulations! I have my last Taxol in two days.

Martaj--that's wonderful news! Sounds like a very encouraging study!

Love the picture, ipenelope! We are going through storms we never expected would cross our path.

Palmetto, my hair is growing in the same way! I feel like I have male pattern baldness, and I see my father in the mirror. LOL...it's unnerving. I sure hope it starts to grow in on top soon! It's coming in white, super soft, and fuzzy. Almost downy. What an adventure.

StAuggie, Palmetto lol Nat’s hair is identical to yours! But it is growing in fast. She has #10 on Tuesday. We meet with BS and oncologist to get a surgery date as well.

Marta that is spectacular!! Let’s keep it shrunk forever. According to Nat’s MO her tumor basically disappeared after AC #3. So hopefully it will stay that way as well

Ipenelope as always thank you for your encouragement. You are a blessing to us all!!

OMG, such overwhelming fatigue. Going into 8th taxol this week, and can't get out of my own way. Slept all day yesterday and night, woke up early this am, and I'm still exhausted. I hope this passes soon. Not like me. Usually 1-2 days after receiving Taxol I'm tired but nothing like this. My counts are good. Any suggestions?

Martaj- the fatigue (like the other SE) can be cumulative. I found that I was exhausted more as the treatments went on. Take it easy and don't try to do too much
