TTTT, glad you finally got home and are able to cut back a bit on the percocet. I don't have answers to any of your questions. You might update your profile showing your surgery. I'll bet you're glad the surgery is behind you. Hopefully all is well going forward.
HUGS!

tatatoosie, isolated cells in a lymph node are usually considered node negative (with an asterisk as my breast surgeon likes to call it). The official staging is N0(+i). It shouldn't impact your treatment unless there are other factors.

Thanks everyone, I got a good mammo report! So thankful! They'll check me every 6 mos for 2 yrs. I see my BS, MO & PCP next week for check ups & then I'm free until February when I see RO. Whew! So many doctors!
I got my mammo at same place I had rads & where my MO is at. I had managed to keep nerves at bay until I ran into Sister Betty. She's a nun that works at the cancer center & she prayed with me several times as I was going through rads. Anyway, as soon as I saw her, I got emotional. But, she reassured me and I soldiered on. Of course, since I had imaging & my surgery at different hospitals, not all my records made it (even my ROs office whose in the same building didn't send my records). So I had to wait a while as they collected everything. But in the end, they did a 3-D mammo and an ultrasound to make sure. Radiologist told me that everything looked good. She could see some fluid buildup from my lx where I'm still healing but otherwise OK. Didn't have any discomfort during mammo, but did during ultrasound. She seemed to press really hard over incisions. Glad that monkey is off my back.
Judy, hope your RO can recommend something to give you relief.
Tootsie, praying for swift recovery. Thinking of you as you wait, Hugs!
Pokie, listen to Peggy, ice & pain pills. I think I got my results in about a week. Praying for pain to subside & peace while you wait.

Pokie, Unless the tumor was pretty large, most of the time it looks like the surrounding tissue. And to repeat Peggy, go ahead and take a pain pill. I know a lot of women say they had very little pain, took only Tylenol, blahblahblah...That was not my experience. My BS made a large, almost 5" incision to get the LX, plus SNB. That thing hurt like a son of a gun for at least a week! I thought I'd bounce right back, go back to work in a couple days. Huh! I ended up having re-excision after all that, so had to start all over again. Foo! I was out of work for 4 weeks, total!

Peggy, thanks so much and it's great to be back!!!! Bagsharon, hello to you and thank you for your response. That makes me feel better.I noticed we have a few more newcomers to BCO and to the lumpectomy lounge. They are in the best forum they can be. Going to do my drain care (I'm so thrilled) and then want to catch some more of the election returns. Big Hugs and kisses to everyone.

Thanks Ann, the comment was explained but when you are the patient you just have a different point of view. I suppose I may have over-reacted (just a little) I will edit my profile tomorrow.

TTTT, you're entitled to over-react. It's a very scary time!
HUGS!

Toots, at least a big weight is off of your shoulders and is behind you. I am glad that you are feeling better. If you do radiation, they will probably target that one lymph node area, and it might a short time. I am proud of you for making it through surgery and now into recovery. Big Hugs, from Illinois

Wow, that was quite an election! And I'll always remember where I was when I heard the result, sitting in my oncologist's office.
So it appears that I don't have endometrial cancer, I still need to see the gynecologist but probably they will do regular monitoring and I'll continue with the Tamoxifen. The oncologist was adamant it was Tamoxifen or nothing, so if I do have more problems I'll have to stop it and lose the benefit it provides.
I don't know why, my legs were shaking when I walked out of there. I really didn't think it would be another cancer but I guess the anxiety just grinds away at you sometimes. Poodles, I guess that was how you felt when you got the all clear on your hysterectomy?

Well, that was different. Biopsy of two lumps and SNB done yesterday. I vaguely remember throwing up in recovery and then again at home, never happened before. Pain is really minimal, this bra is uncomfortable and a bit of bleeding. All in all, feeling very normal. Had massive headache last night that wouldn't go away until I realized I needed caffeine. Now it's just the waiting for final pathology, healing and radiation

Indeed, Dizzybee. I was fully prepared to hear the words "uterine cancer", considering that two of my sisters got that diagnosis unexpectedly . What a relief to hear that things are finally going my way!

Great news , Dizzybee . Artymom , ice is your friend and relax let others take care of you. Hugs

Dizzybee HOORAY!!! That's wonderful news. Very happy for you.
ArtyMom, glad you are fairly comfortable. Sounds like the anesthesia got to you. Sorry about that. Take it easy and monitor that bleeding. If it doesn't lessen, call your surgeon. And welcome!
HUGS!

Dizzybee... That has to be a relief fo sure.
ArtyMom.... It's encouraging to hear you had minimal discomfort since surgery is tomorrow.
I just wish I didn't feel so weak from this cold & cough. I have never had something hang on so bad. Thinking it must be from my chemo. I bet I'll be anxious tonight.

I'm shouting it from the mountains because I'm high on steroids! My last chemo infusion was today! I'll be rolled up in a fetal ball come Saturday when the steroids wear off but today I feel great! Bring on the rads and lets get this crap over with!
My apologies for all the exclamation points.

CaliGirl, hope your cold goes away soon.
BagSharon, YES! Glad you are done with chemo. You'll manage those crap SEs this weekend. It'll help because you know you are DONE!!
HUGS!!!

Last night was the worst night of my life, worse than the night I got my initial diagnosis. More than that I am in no emotional shape to say, and this is the wrong thread anyway. Wasn't going to attend my support group tonight, but rehearsal was cancelled and I need some similarly situated sisters with whom to share my anguish. The only upside I can see is that I have lost my desire to drink…because for me, alcohol is for celebration.
My eye is healing nicely one week post-op—ditched all but the reading and sun glasses (can’t post a photo because I’m getting that weird message box with “true” in lower case in one corner). Site software glitch?

Has anyone had their case presented to a tumor board ? My case will be reviewed tomorrow morning and I should hear something by afternoon. My onco score was 29, with k167, 70% nuclear expression. ER posatire 90%, and PR focal rare positivity 1%.

Sandy, sending you hugs - loads of them.
TwinsMawMaw, sure. Mine was. In fact I think all cases at my center go to the review board. They met every Wednesday. For mine, the MO wanted me to do chemo and the BS and RO could see no reason for it. My oncotype was 13. At least you'll get the benefit of many opinions on what path your treatment should take. Good luck!
HUGS!

Sandy, Hugs!
Dizzy, great news! I understand your shaky legs after you got results. I had already scheduled my colonoscopy before my BC dx, so amidst all the BC biopsies & tests, I went ahead and got it. I didn't realize how tense & stressed I was over another test until I got the results of colonoscopy. I remember being weak with relief.
ArtyMom, sorry you got sick but glad your pain is minimal. Ice & rest. Praying for good results on your pathology.
Caligirl, hope your cold doesn't last too long.
BagSharon, YAY for finishing chemo. Now onto next steps
TwinsMawMaw, will be thinking of you tomorrow as you wait.

Sandy, whatever it is, you know we have your back. Stay strong, my friend.

Sandy, I hope you are ok. From everything I have read in your posts, you are strong woman, I have no doubt you can handle anything thrown your way. We are all here if and when you want to talk.
Great news Dizzy!

Sandy, i've posted photos, and gotten the same message, they need to be jpeg or it won't take them.. give you hugs too..

ChiSandy - completely understand. Hugs from us girls downstate. I had a hard time too. Met with my ob/gyn today and discussed what choices I had for bc tx. We ran a CA125, which I do yearly, to see if that yielded any conclusions. My insurance is through the Healthcare Market Place, where I do not have a rider or pre-existing conditions. If the ACA is repealed, I am screwed. I am considering having a hysterectomy to lower my odds for returning bc and preventing ovarian/uterine cancer. The other choice is going to be the Lupron shot. If I had the surgery this year, it is 100% paid for since I met my deductible and I cannot be refused. If it comes up next year, it will cost me more money. If I wait to the following year, I may have to pay for it by myself. I need some direction ladies.

If you are emotionally able now, I would do it. Why wait. Control what you can, pray about the rest.

Thanks for the support, ladies. If you care to read between the lines, my despair and anxiety have absolutely nothing to do with my health, finances or any personal relationships—nor those of anyone in my family. And millions tonight are in the same situation.
As for that photo I kept trying to post, it is a .jpeg and was so all along! Apparently, there was a quirk in the software somewhere, because I changed nothing on my computer and was able to post it five hours later. So here I am a week post-cataract-surgery. If you look closely, you can see my left eye (my webcam takes a mirror image, so it’s on the left in the photo) has a bit of residual hemorrhage at the outer corner, but it no longer looks creepy:

Sitting pretty.

It's day two after lumpectomy (2 sites) and SNB. Feeling pretty good, breast is swollen but parts were already numb from previous surgery. Steri strips are falling off, replacing with band aids. Now waiting for pathology report and Meeting with RO.
I'm reading that tamoxifen and Paxil don't mix. Anyone have any experience with how this is handled

Michelle, you don't have to have a hysterectomy in order to have your ovaries removed. If you have a family hx of uterine cancer or you have a genetic mutation like Poodles then I recommend you go ahead. Hysterectomy is major surgery and should not be taken lightly. Bilateral salpingo oopherectomy is outpatient.
