Here's a lovely pastel my husband's Auntie Bernice did of our pups, Amber (brown) and Jessie (black) for Christmas, together with a photo of them. One of these two ate a sizable hole in our carpet once. I tnink the most guilty looking at the time was Jessie.

I wish everyone a comfortable and worry free festive season.

Brave person to have an Aussie and a BC. Was owned by an Aussie for 14 1/2 years. He was THE most destructive pup I ever had. But he was also my ❤dog.

Actually they are BC sisters, 2 3/4 years old. With a Brown&White Mum and Bllack&White ad. I hadn't known the Aussie breed before being in the US, and they are so similar. Apart from their first year and the recent carpet shinanigans we have been spared too much destruction. They are passionate ball fetchers and food carpet sweepers! Wonderful loving dogs. 😀.

Even braver to have 2 BCs!!! Never had any. They are so cool to watch herding, giving eye. The intensity is amazing.

And dynamite on an agility course.

    Pretty dogs.

Swilly...nice to see someone else with carpet eaters :) Mine is sleeping now on the tile floor after our walk, so it's safe to be on the computer. Your photos and the pastel are lovely.

Thanks. Think the photo was when I was in bed laid up with initial symptoms from my latest DX. Spent the week In bed. The walls were covered with black spots from me throwing balls for them. They were great cuddlers but being BC's needed lots of activity. Luckily my son, husband and a friend of my sons took them for plenty of walks.

Moved my office computer back to my big desk next to the wall heater. I was getting too cold and Dozer was whining all the time. I think he likes his space under my feet better too.

lol Princess got up a few minutes ago and is running all over the house. Her paws hitting the hardwood floors sound like a herd of elephants are stampeding through my house

This was so funny. Just picked up GD and the airport and brought her to our place. First time she has seen snow in 10 years. She is playing snowball fetch with Dozer. They were having a blast.

My Ava has suffered with Cushing's disease for 5 years. Suddenly she has taken a turn for the worst. Lost 10 pounds despite eating as usual. Very confused, walking in circles, getting trapped in corners and under furniture that she would have never climbed under in the past. Peeing in the house. So I've made the tough decision to have her PTS tomorrow. Her quality of life has gone steeply downhill. I don't want her to suffer anymore. So hard to make that decision.

Oh Glennie, I am so sorry. It is a compassionate thing you are doing out of love for her, but it doesn't make it easier. Hugs

Glennie: What a difficult time for you and for Ava. My heart aches for you. I went back and looked at other photos you posted of your sweet Ava. Fortunate she had you as her mom.

Glennie - hugs around you today.. I know how hard it is to make that choice. I've had to make it many times.

Ava has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, no longer in pain and able to run easily again. I will miss her. She was a big friend to all the neighbors too. It's a sad cul-de-sac here. It was a peaceful crossing, so I'm thankful for that, and for the years that I had with her.

I don't know if there is a heaven or not,, but my dogs better all be there, or I'm not going. There is a new movie coming out,, I think it is called A Dog's Purpose (?) the dog starts out belonging to a young boy, and then after the dog dies, he moves onto another dog body and a new owner, and this keeps happening over and over. Reincarnation for dogs. Why not? Looks like a great movie,, but bring a box of tissues, cuz just the trailer makes me cry.
