Still a stunning shot, Onco and thanks for sharing. Gives me much peace to look at shots like that....I think I've been too "noisy" on this thread as I've gotten pretty excited at some of the pics, so I'll try to calm down now......

No worries Barbe... The flower field was beautiful. We don't have fields of flowers here ;-)

CB: I can see why he is a favorite. Utah has so many magical places of spectacular light.

CB: Simon Dimont called these serene moments and I am delighted that he like other photographers are able to make the strenuous climbs to create and share those moments with all of us.

I didn't realize this thread was just for posting pictures. I would like to tell all of you about a real retreat place for cancer survivors. It is completely free, yes, free. Called Harmony Hill healing retreat. Located in Washington state overlooking Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains on 12 acres. I wish I knew how to post pictures. Thanks to generous donors, your lodging, meals, and curriculum are provided at no cost. You can visit the website at www.harmonyhill.org or call 877-920-1070 I have not been able to go yet but several gals from my support group have gone and said it was just lovely.

Actually Barbe, that flower is open! It is a Frittilaria, a type of bulb, and they look like speckled, drooping tulips.

Yep that one is called a Snake's Head Fritillary because of the pattern. Some have more white patches. They are in bloom in Wicklow at present.
