A Retreat for Peaceful Contemplation

It is a weird plant isn't it? I took the picture a few years ago at the Arboretum in Seattle - can't remember the name of the plant now, but it doesn't bloom very often, so when it does it's a big deal.

Everything bloomed so late this spring but the neighbors had planted pretty tulips

I took these in 2011 in Holland
Don't have them here like that.

They are really lovely Lisa!

That weird plant is VERY smelly if I'm thinking of the right one.
"The geese zippered the Fall sky closed in preparation for winter..."
"The night horizon drew the sun into it's murky depths."

I think you are right Barbe. The smelly plant.

Lisa, I finally found you again! I couldn't remember the thread where I had originally saw your work. By the way, my DH is from Palm Springs and I sometimes recognize your photos from there. His father still spends winters there and is very ill so did not leave this past May. Looks like I'll be going out there in the coming months...

Nice reflection
Where is that?

Unfortunately, I didn't write down locations, I just took pictures. It's either Southern Oregon (most probable) or Northern California.
