Just wondering - do you all really find this Peaceful Contemplation???  Want opinions... No picture in particular..  For the rest of this page we can converse then go back to pictures only.

Gma, I like being able to comment on pics that move me. We are only talking about what is posted, so it IS very peaceful. No cancer, no treatment plans, etc. Please let us keep commenting!!! Sad

That isn't what I meant Barbe - *Hugs* - You commenting on a picture is no problem. They have been short and sweet.

We have always kept the comments to a minimum - PMs for long conversations.  That was why I gave permission to discuss this.  This was supposed to be a quiet/calming picture only type of topic - The Premise of Topic is below:

"I have been told by many, that my pictures are so peaceful. So here is Picture #1 to start your journey. Come here to retreat whenever you like and remember to breathe. Know that God and the ladies on this board are here for you. Please keep long conversations in PMs to each other."

I don't find, I am feeling peaceful here anymore... That is all.. I feel like it is a competition on who has the fanciest picture..  They are beautiful.. I just feel it has grown into something else.  Maybe just a crappy hot day today. I think I will leave it to you all to do what you will.

GmaFoley, I hesitated before posting the 'vacation spot' because it looked too busy. Sorry about that. I truly did find the other two I  posted were in fact peaceful to me. And meaningful because Calcium Carbonate is the prime raw material where I work. I apologize as my second to last post was definitely not peaceful. Sorry. Rome, however, was taken out the window of our bus and although it may not be peaceful, it certainly is gorgeous. It was my first trip to continental Europe.

I don't think that it is competitive, although I must admit to having been intimidated by the sheer beauty of some of the images these ladies have captured. And I ALWAYS love the views from your mountain.

I hope you don't stop posting, because there have been times at work when I have just gone out to sit in my car and view your pictures. Then I can go back to whatever drove me out of the office with a better frame of mind.

I (perhaps strangely) find architecture to be quite peaceful, but am fine with with whatever way you want to go with the thread.

    Hi ladies,

I'm the floater but I do understand what GmaFoley is saying. I looked to this site for peaceful and meditative type photos. I like the birds, the nature, the ones that take your breath away, even sets a state of mind that you would use to meditate by, so I get it. We've traveled so I've plenty of those photos but I so enjoy the ones of a different kind. Maybe a different thread should be started for nature and meditation...

SoCalLisa- and the cows are Herefords , we had a bunch on the farm. I see Wisteria in some of the images. Only place I think I saw it growing US side was in NC.

I do like the original idea that there is no chatting - only pictures to ponder and either sink into the mood or turn to the next picture.  I have enjoyed both the nature pictures and the location pictures, but do appreciate a word or two "label" to ID the place.  I also enjoy the pictures on "life is a beach".

The Alhambra rooms were build for peaceful contemplation. They had running water trickling through some of the spaces...

Mema, that is what i intended this thread to be. Places that make you think and breathe. I might not OWN my thread, but I did start it. I feel some of you don't feel the same way and I will respect that.
