Love the cat stuff. My sister in law gave me the book. My cats are not killers however.....we have six cats and had a mouse running rampant through the house - even through the living room! - for three weeks. Finally was done in with a trap and peanut butter. And these were INDOOR cats. Now that we've moved to the country, we let them out a bit during the day. And they are mostly oblivious of the birds and other critters here.

Here's last night's sunset over Kapiti Island. And yes, that's the ocean you can barely see just below the island. There's a little whitecap wave that's barely visible. At any rate, the colours were pretty.

LOL@Chevy. I'm in New Zealand, just north of Wellington on the Kapiti Coast. Used to live in Novato, Marin County, and came up to Sacramento a lot and I have several friends who live there.

2ndtimearound- love the little girl with the airplane! Leadership skills yes! Foggy and drizzle... cold.. housework all day.. washed 2 dogs.. Pity those poor folks under the great Lakes. I heard Buffalo got a years worth of snow in 4 days.. yikes. The photos are just scary.

Chevy your flowers are lovely. Nice picture from summer.

May you all be well and warm.

Hi OncoWarrior - it was you who told me to head over to this thread - it's a great place, and lots of great cat ladies to make me feel right at home Smile

KiwiCatMom beautiful photo. My husband bought me that "How to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you" book when he was visiting his Aunt in Seattle. Arthur is the only seriously predatory cat I've ever had. I think I had lots of the 2/3rds that don't kill when well fed over the course of my life. Arthur came to us as a young stray so he had been fending for himself, I suppose that switched on all of his survival instincts. He comes straight in from devouring two mice and demands a cat food chaser - it doesn't seem like a small mouse puts much weight on a cat!
