DIL took a photo of the moon using her bird spotting scope and her phone. Wonderful image. I would never have thought of doing it.

Wren, I had to google "bird spotting scope" as I had not heard of these before - what a cool gadget and clever of your DIL to think of using it as a telephoto lens with her phone.

I love the kitty in the box. SillyHeart

Update for Sas and Chevy on the coworker who said she was going to wear pink as much as possible to support me in the month of October. She was a very good listener as I explained the reasons why many women that have breast cancer have a big problem with pink and the month of October...from pink washing to companies slapping pink ribbons on their labels to make a profit. She is much younger than me and going through a cervical cancer scare so I tbelieve that she really had good intentions. I like to use October to educate the masses through Facebook and in real life!

I was looking for something, and found all this "stuff!" So fun remembering ALL of these.... I know most of you are much younger, but this was "our" life!

Hi Chevy I am 48 but clicked on your link anyway. First thing my eye beheld - Vintage 3d plastic Nativty Scene - I had that EXACT one (pretty sure they were all made in China). It was one of my treasured posessons. (Probably in 1970's Ireland we were only catching up with 1950's America Winking)

Kitty in the suitcase just made me smile as it reminded me of how Charcoal was when we were packing for a trip. As I would try to pack my bag, he'd jump into it and I'd have to stop several times to take him out of the bag.

Not just cats, this is Rose trying to climb into our suitcase as we were packing. I usually try to pack in my closet, or while she's outside, she has major separation anxiety.

Oh I remember when I would go see my folks in SF.... When I got home, our Dog Chevy, would not even "talk" to me! It took him several hours to warm up to me, and come up on my lap! Hah!

MAGS what kind of dog? My Schatzi is anxious about my every move...............Except when I run her by the horses early in the day.............Then she is so calm the rest of the day. :) It's on a sheriff's route to the kid ranch. Never stopped by the numerous cops that have gone by. Many stop and observe how I handle the dogs. I'm sure there's talk. I'm sure they have considered what do to do. The dogs are controlled, but off leash in an isolated area. If one of them crosses the road...I honk...they return to the correct side of the rode(direction dependent). For the farmers/horse people in the area you could tell it made them happy---waving and smiling.
