kjones, Western NC is now on my bucket list. It rivals New England and is probably less crowded.

We had my stepson's two dogs and our two cats for the weekend. Holy cow! Good news is I didn't lose any shoes, which they warned me of. Big dogs too! Sweeties! image

wrenn-come on down! Yes we get a lot of leaf lookers...seems like a lot of people...then again my town is small. Really anywhere along the blue ridge mountains! Their is a parkway that extends across a couple states. Asheville is the biggest city around and they have become one of the nations biggest beer drinkers or makers or something. I don't drink beer anymore. Lots of great things to do and see. The Grove Park Inn, The Biltmore House...two big names. And the west coast is on my bucket list! Never seen the Pacific Ocean

    Me too!

Julie - love the antidepressant prescription.

Re: The Topiary Cat - that's a digital artwork that is part of a series of Topiary Cat artworks by an English surrealist artist called Richard Saunders. He does both paintings and digital montages.

The Topiary Cat series has been a big hit with de public!

I'll post some more - they are wonderful. Nerdy

    1. In the 4th one down with the man with the hedgeclippers - that man is Richard Saunders.

    2. The final, cat puzzle, one - the cat Tolly is Richard Saunder's cat and the model for all his Topiary Cats

    (BCO - always educational Winking)

Loverly, not positive, but pretty positive that's a German Wired Haired pointer in this pic you posted. My Schatzi is a GWP. Difficult to say for sure b/c Scottish, Irish, and German Wolfhounds look similar. The GWP was developed from a mix of dogs. Wiki " griffon, Deutscher Stichelhaar, Deutscher Kurzhaar, and the hunting Pudelpointer in the late 19th century."

This pic looks a lot like Shats. We keep her outer coat trim.

    image

Head shot very much like Shats. Characteristic of the breed is the beard

    Another head shot

The scruffiness around the eyes mouth and under the chin make them so cute. But it's not the same in all some can look pretty funny.
